I was actually a bit confused on that last part. I wasn't sure if it was your character mentioning about the flames, or just some random person in the Tavern who was, so I just made it so Kirk himself wasn't sure either and was just going to eavesdrop.

He and only he should be able to hear the sounds of flames trough in a nosy and crowded bar those cloud be deafened by other noises.

Hear the sounds of flames? I don't remember that happening in Dark Souls. I wish I could have heard bondfires in the game, certainly make it easier for me.
