This battle is brilliant, by the way.I would say that summoning a small Sun is unusually powerful for a Rogue Being, but I suppose it doesn't take too much energy to shed ample light on an otherwise dark, light-less village.

On the magical front, Emily is unusually powerful for a Rogue Being. But her physical aspects are barely about a standard humans.

So, Reading Ifrit's post, and unless Shaige does something big, I'm going to blow up the temple Emily and Ifirit are currently on ;p

In that case, I hope Ifrit doesn't step on Emily.

Champion of the Klug: Well, suck, there goes our only chance of winning.

Are you invisible? How did you get on top of the temple in the middle of 145 mages without being noticed?

"atop the temple in a seated position, all but hidden by the shadows."

There's no where you could be hidden in the shadows atop the temple. It's a flat rock plateau lit by fires, and manned with over 300 people. Continuity error alert.

Emily isn't properly invisible, but unless pointed out, or she does something to draw attention to herself, most people find it difficult to notice her. But, there is a small error there I guess, just thought it was a good place to start.

It would have been if there was an actual structure to the temple, but the temple is a hollowed out cave. The "top" of the temple is a flat plateau that is packed with people. Ifrit would have had to pretty much win the battle and kill almost all the Klug's remaining forces to get there safely, and how you would have gotten there unnoticed would be difficult.

Perhaps you're on an outcropping near the top of temple, but on the side of the rock formation?

Huh, I must have misthought how the village thing was set out. I guess I could be on the side of the rock. Could help not blowing the temple to bits with my plan as well.

Given the majority of the Klug's remaining strength is atop that temple, incinerating it would have been akin to saying "Yeah, Ifrit, sign me up, I'm on your team now."

Did say Emily wasn't on the Klug's side. But really, who tries to join someone's side by blowing them up?

Ah, I had been envisioning the temple as a huge, stone dome-like structure atop a terraced hill. It seemed a bit excessive and grand for a bunch of tribal people without even a proper wall around their settlement. Well, Shaige would have had a hard time destroying a cave temple anyways, so at least I have no regrets about blowing up the magical sun instead.

...and deny Shaige the 5,000 unarmed people (soon to be slaves, if all goes as Shaige plans) that were the main reason he bothered to attack the Klug. Boy, Emily would sure make some enemies, and dangerous ones at that. I have to wonder why she'd even want to massacre all those people, though.

Emily neither cares about other peoples plans, nor really knows about them. She is just fighting Ifrit now, and doesn't care to any living creature that gets in her way. But, blowing up the temple wouldn't kill everyone inside, it's complex.

Currently envisioning the fight to be like Lust vs Mustang.

Well of course she wouldn't know Shaige's plans. Nobody does, because for whatever reason he refuses to share so much as his name to even his most loyal subordinates.

I was just saying that if things unfold that way, you can kiss Ifrit's offer goodbye. Shaige would be enraged to have the temple blown up, and even if it doesn't kill everybody inside it would make getting them out considerably harder.

Emily wouldn't take Ifrit's offer anyway. That elongates both her life, and Ifrit's. Any plan where you lose your hat is a bad plan.

Shall we go ahead and say, that, barring serious intervention from Emily, the rest of the Klug get taken out by pain elementals, with 150 more casualties for them (seeing they have to charge into the herd of 150 blessed spears. :P)

There is indeed no mud if they are charging through the on fire village. Please have them do that.

Hey Kang. And, it's so problematic not having DR_TRAPEZOID on now. I wanna collaborate with him about what happens to Ifrit in my next post.
