Okay, here's what I have finished so far. We'll see what happens with the rest tomorrow, guess.
Name: Klaus “Karin”
Age: 18
Gender: “Female”
Species: Um… Human! Yes, that’s it… Human…
Powers/Abilities: She was known for her great tactical abilities in the past, although she mostly seems to put her mind towards playing pranks on people at the present. Her experience on the battlefield has left her with a wide knowledge of fighting and some general first aid skills.
Fairytale: The Princess and the Pea
Part in Story: The princess
History:
Personality: A bit egotistical and very mischievous, yet pretty intelligent. She enjoys playing pranks and can often get herself into trouble by annoying people too much. However, she has to be careful about what she does since she gets hurt very easily. Of course, due to her reckless nature, she often ends up with all kinds of injuries. Despite all this on the surface, she does have a caring and sweet side, but she will only show it to people she really cares a lot for or in certain circumstances.
Family: Father – the king back in her kingdom, Uncle – currently the advisor to the king, Mother – deceased, Grandfather – missing
Friends: She doesn’t know a lot of people yet
Crush/Relationships: None yet
Other: She seems to have some sort of currently unexplainable “medical condition” that severely limits her abilities and is thought by many to be an inherited illness or physical anomaly caused by a birthing complication. Truthfully, it is one of the effects of the curse she is under. Because of this, though, she gets sick easily and has to be extra careful to keep from getting injured.
Once upon a time, there was a powerful warrior prince known throughout the country for his great tactical ability and strength. He commanded one of the most feared armies in the area, often going up against armies from neighboring areas and proving his battle prowess time and again. Sadly, his great success made him very arrogant and difficult to deal with. He became a cocky, egotistical young man. He was still greatly respected for his skill and strength, but those who knew him on a more social level did not want to deal with him a lot of the time. He could not attract suitors because of his arrogant ways, though he honestly didn’t care, thinking that nobody could handle his greatness anyway. Eventually, he made a huge mistake and offended a great enchantress while out on a campaign. She cast a curse on him in the hopes of teaching him some humility. Soon, instead of the strong and tough warrior male the prince was proud to have as his image, he was transformed into a very frail girl. He could hardly even lift a sword, never mind cut up someone with it. He soon learned that all of his physical abilities had been cut down to levels lower than any normal human due to some sort of chronic illness that the curse had added in along with his new appearance. His troops were ambushed that night and he barely escaped with his life. After wandering for some time completely unsure of his location, he eventually passed out in the middle of the woods with very sick with a fever. He was found by a prince’s hunting party in the woods and brought back to a castle.
Here’s the part of the story most people probably know.
Once, in a kingdom far away, there was a prince who had just become of age to begin the search for a bride. Though many women were available, his parents insisted that he should marry a princess. Unfortunately, none of the princesses he met really caught his eye. One stormy night, though, a sick and injured girl was brought into the castle from the woods. Because of the critical condition she was now in, it was agreed that she should stay at the castle to be nursed back to health. When she had recovered a bit, the queen and the prince questioned her identity. She told them that she was the child of the royal family in one of the neighboring kingdoms. The prince was happy to hear this, since he kind of liked her already, but the queen was skeptical of her claim. That would make her a princess, and the queen thought that she had met the princesses of the neighboring kingdoms already. Besides, what princess would ever wear the boyish clothing that she had been found in? Never mind the fact that it was tattered and dirty, since she obviously had gone through some sort of trouble before she was found, but her clothing style and even some parts of her speech patterns seemed less than ladylike. She continued interrogating the girl, hoping to trick her into the truth, but she continued to insist that she was royalty. Eventually, the queen gave up and left the girl to rest, but she still didn’t believe her. She told the prince and the king of her doubts and proposed a test to be sure of her claim. The next night, when the girl went to sleep, she found herself unable to get comfortable for some reason (because of her condition and her now unnaturally sensitive skin). The next morning, when the queen asked how she slept, she forgot to her manners and blamed the uncomfortable mattress for causing her discomfort all night. When the queen praised her instead of becoming annoyed with her attitude, she was confused.
The girl became happy to learn that she had passed the test to secure the queen’s approval, but was shocked when the queen declared that she was now to marry the prince. The girl panicked and tried to convince her otherwise, but apparently, detecting that there was a pea under the mattress somehow convinced the overjoyed monarch that she was the perfect princess and therefore destined for her son. (Yeah, she was more than a little eccentric, I guess.) The plans were made for their marriage immediately, but a mere two days before the scheduled wedding, the girl vanished.
The prince, so set on marrying her (for what reason, we might find out later) searched the land for her, but it seemed that she had successfully made her escape.
Now, she is hiding out in this town, hoping to find a way to reverse the curse that was cast upon her.
I currently have two pictures I am trying to choose from for the appearance reference, but I can't quite decide just yet. (I'm mostly wondering if I can even get away with using one of them, considering how the character ended up.)
Also, please let me know if there is a problem with any part of the CS.
