If I can make a request. Can we tone the action down some? I mean, we barely have time to actually get to know the other team members. It's not fun to gloss over all the actual character development and growth. I mean, I keep Jin with Gabe because there has literally been no time to actually meet the other team members. It's why we do time jumps. I don't want normal mundane things slowing the game down to the point nobody is posting. I could tell you guys to just hang at the HQ for a few posts but then we'd have players claiming they don't know what to post, there's no motivation, blah, blah, blah. I'm all for character stories over plot based ones, but not at the expense of the RP. If I remember correctly the first couple of players to go MIA or quit it happened while we were hanging at the new HQ getting to know each other and using the War Room.

If you just HAVE to have character moments do them in a quick flashback. Reference something random your character could've done with another, show something that developes and evolves your character in a flashback from two days back or two years. The game is only as interesting as you make it. I can insert enemies and conflict, but I can't write character moments for you. It's up to you to work them in...

But it will get lighter in tone after this.

I have to disagree with you, KL. I mean, we're supposed to be a team, right? I've had zero chance to interact with the other members, other players, because we just go from fight to fight. I don't even know who the others are, and the profile doesn't really do them justice. So... yeah. Justice League wasn't all fighting, there was a balance. If you want us to just fight and not get a chance to grow, then we should have played canons that have their personalities well defined, so everyone already knows who everyone is.

The time jumps are what I mean by glossing over. I'm not saying we slow the RP to a crawl, but... the pace is breakneck, and yet nothing is actually changing.

If I want endless battles with limited personality, I'll join a DBZ RP.

After this thing with the new Deathstroke we'll do some different stuff. Maybe Hellfire accidentally burns a quarter of the base and destroys a bunch of our civilian clothes or something and we need to go into town to shop, idk...

Well I mean, right now we're going up against somebody who before the RP could take on the League and win. So there's gonna be collateral damage. Most of us probably live in the HQ cause an apartment would require getting a job, dividing your time, interfere with training, etc.... So almost everything we own or brought with us to Star City will be in our personal quarters....

Deathstroke takes a shot at Hellfire and misses, HF responds with a huge burst of black flame that in turn damn near burns down the base.... It writes itself.

That will work, actually. I think part of my issue is the fact that the RP feels disconnected.

Anyway, that sounds like 'fun', having him accidentally start a fire.

Also, I will attempt so hard not to have Jin make fun of Deathstroke, or call him a stupid nickname.

Okay, so Ditto, Fenrir, Hellfire, Orbit have got in on the action. Need to hear from Plas, Fate, Shock, Frostburn, Bast, and Patriot. Since it would seem Deathstroke has an advantage, I was gonna say that the remaining heroes [or at least a few of them] who hadn't chimed in, including the den-mother Black Canary, could be held somewhere restrained in the HQ and out of the way. Like in a panic room or something. It's kinda clear Booster is the only target. But after a little cat and mouse and once any who might wanna run with the held captive idea, in a few more posts I'll have another Leaguer show up because communications have been down over two hours now... then I'll spill the beans on the ID of the new 'Stroke along with GG probably LOL

Hey I'm still here! I just got back from a weekend trip, so I'll start reading the IC. Man, you guys wrote a lot! If you think I would slow the action, you're welcome to sideline Fate (it would be pretty easy; he's nothing without the helmet).

Yeah truthfully I was actually thinking of having Plas be in a completely different idea and go into the first of this group of scene ideas I had.

I imagine the base has something like blast or fire doors between rooms. Maybe Newstroke has hacked the system and separated the team by dropping all the emergency doors.
