Phew. Time to catch up again. For the most part, I enjoy all your posts well enough though, so no complaint really. Also, Yog, you really really wanna' punch Atomic Skull, don't you?

not exactly, i want a villain who can smash us all into the ground and possibly kill us. it teaches the arrogant heroes a leason in not underestimating their opponents. Also I really want to post having ether Atomic Skull or Doomsday punch Patriot into dozens of buildings and cause huge amounts of destruction.

Well, that wouldn't be a great way for the team to garner the trust of the people, Mr Collateral Damage. :P

Doomsday and Atomic Skull always cause huge amounts of destruction when they fight the heroes. And I say that having our characters fight against almost impossible odds makes it more fun and a challenge. If it's easy then it gets boring and turns into who can show off the most and take down the villain the quickest.

Agreed, agreed and agreed. I tried to acknowledge all posts, but found it quite difficult to as I'd been away for the first few days of the RP and had yet to introduce Hellfire. Apologies for the inconveniences I, and any of the others, may have caused.

I don't think this should be a contest. Should be more driven towards character development and story line than who can beat the villain the quickest/best. I think we'll all just have to accept that there will be fight sequences where we aren't all able to get a hit off on the enemy.

so are you saying that we shouldn't fight challenging opponents? this is superheroes we're talking about, having very challenging villains is what makes a comic book great.

I would argue that there is so much more to making a comic book great then that, but that's a digression from the point I'm trying to make.Yes, we should of course fight challenging enemies, but it should not be a contest between us for who can show off their powers. We shouldn't fight enemies based on which ones can take the hardest beating just so that we can all flex our characters powers and see who is the coolest in a fight.

Once again, I can't help but agree with you. You make excellent points. Great post, by the way.

the point of taking a beating is way of having the character know that they may face imminent death which usually creates some really great character development. I am not planning to use the beating as a way of showing off, I was planning to use it as a way to really show how a super strong character can become vulnerable and possibly die. in my opinion, it is almost essential for a superhero to have a worthy villain who can really challenge them. a comic book that doesn't have a challenging villain is like a table with three legs, it isn't complete.
Lucian said I think we should incorporate a bit of a post orderIf that happens I will have to write Cyber out. The one and only time I participated in an RP that included a post order, I was kept waiting a week. On day 8 I posted out of turn writing my character out of the story. At that point I vowed to never join an RP with a post order and to leave any that started one after I joined.

I don't think post order is necessary and i know KL won't implement that. Just don't post until at least two people have gone if you're really itching to progress...
