What was your reason for joining the colonists?
"A life filled with regret and lost opportunities would leave me feeling dead inside. If I didn't go to Spera, what would my forefather's say? My father and uncle were astronauts, my great-great-grandmother charted the Marina trench. If I pissed on this opportunity,it'd be impossible to look my family in the eyes,"
How did you get get accepted?
"My research and simulations on crop growth on Mars caught some attention from the American organization NASA, who wanted to pull me into their colonisation efforts on Mars. I spent two years training and learning the insides and out of space travel and with the help of some of my team I picked up a decent amount of knowledge with chemistry and mechanical engineering. We still had another few months until we were meant to embark and begin NASA's most ambitious venture yet, but then the team working on sending a boat of people to Spera reached out to my team. Becoming the first colonists of Mars was cool, but there was no way in hell we were going to sack the chance to colonise a planet like Spera."
What did you do before this?
"Before I was picked up by NASA, I was a student learning to become a botanist. The rest I already ran through."
