She felt her eyes swell as he spoke, she felt so much emptier than she appeared to be, she never liked being vulnerable but Alex broke down her walls and pulled her out of darkness. She didn't watch him as he walked towards her and wrapped himself around her, happy that she was so much smaller than him, his warm cocoon ravished her in his affection. Her heart skipped a beat and she felt the tears run down her face. "I love you too." She whispered weakly, emotions rushed through her like a title wave.

Alex pulled away a bit and lowered himself to his knees so they were at eye level. "As long as I'm around you will never be worthless. You are my own shining star." He leaned forward and gave her a small kiss hoping he wasn't stepping over any bounderies, and smirked a little. "I do wish you had grown up with me though. People might get the wrong idea about me."

As Forest wandered through the hall she started to wonder where the others were, She started on the path back to what she thought was the rec room humming random tunes and trailing her hand along the wall.

Nyx could feel her heart in her throat after the exchange of words and watched him lower to loom at her, proving how short she really was or just how tall he was. The kiss made her blink while her heart beat only raced faster. She smiled. "They don't know I'm almost four millennium year old." She whispered.

"Oh well, who cares what they think?" He said, standing up and pulling her by the hand over to the couch. "You've been here for a whole day now and I haven't taken the time to really talk with you. I've been so caught up in my own problems, so for the rest of the day i'm going to let you choose what we do."

She laughed and sat herself down next to him while placing her legs over his lap. "Well what do humans usually do? I mean we used to play but I'm sure adults don't do that right?" She put her finger to her chin as if she was trying to recall a study boom on human behavior.

James was flying, Flying away from everything, finally free when he heard someone calling his name. He wanted to scream to be left alone but the voice sounded urgent and full of fear, James forced himself through the tears and sorrow and followed the sound of the voice. After a few seconds James's eyes started to flutter open and the moment they did he began sobbing wildly and hugging Nessie, "It's all my fault! I killed them all!" James could barely speak he was sobbing so hard.

Nessie didn't know how to act, didn't know how to respond to this sudden crying and clutching. She swallowed, and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. "I'm sure you didn't" She said, her desperate need to comfort him removing her stutter. "James, don't, don't blame yourself, please...don't do that again, don't disappear like that, don't go where no one can reach you, please, Hope went ballistic...please, don't blame yourself..." She trailed, shifting so she could hug him properly, and she made soothing noises, hoping to calm him down, hoping to make it better.

"I really don't know." He said, laying a hand over her legs. "I haven't really done anything for fun in a long time. As far as I know there aren't all that many. I guess we could play cards, or talk." He reached out and ran his fingers through her hair. "I don't know. Maybe adults are just boring, but it's probably just because I haven't thought about it."

For the longest time James simply sobbed into Nessie and after what seemed liek an eternity to him he looked up at her and took in a deep breath, "Dad had been drinking...He started hurting mom...Jacob tried to shoot dad...I didn't mean to but...I shocked him to death...it was an accident...and after that a blacked out...but I...destroyed the house killed mom and dad...Its all my fault!" James looked deep into her eyes a deep pool of sorrow filling into where his eyes where.

Nessie was silently as he spoke, and silent for a while after, having no idea what to say. She finally shifted, taking his face in her hands, "H-h-hey N-now. It w-w-was an accident. Y-you w-w-were trying to stop J-j-jacob" She passed over the fact that she had no idea who Jacob was and continued, "F-f-from making a t-t-terrible mistake, and r-r-ruining his l-l-life" She met his eyes, and refused to let him look away.

"It was a m-m-mistake. That's a-a-a-all. It c-c-c-could have h-h-h-happened to anyone, b-b-b-b-but don't let it r-r-ruin your w-w-whole l-life. Its g-g-g-g-going to be h-h-hard living with t-t-this, I know, b-b-but I'll h-h-help, I puh-puh-puh-promise"

James hugged her tight, "God I don't even know what to say to you." James held her there for a moment and then let her go, Hope was on top of him that moment licking his face and whimpering, "Hey I'm okay girl...I'm fine." James eyes had become a little bit duller their normal electric blue was now somewhat gray, "Nessie...Jacob was my little brother..." James breathed in deep to keep himself from crying, "God you have been so kind to me...to go so far as to promise..." James swallowed back tears, "Thank you Nessie...Thank you for being my friend."

Nessie gave him a smile. At least this she could do, without appearing to mess it up. "T-t-then H-h-honor him and d-d-d-don't g-g-give up on l-l-life. He w-w-wouldn't want y-you t-to g-g-give up"

She rose, holding out her hand for him to take, "I w-w-w-was t-thinking about f-f-finding a way to s-s-see the s-sky. W-want to h-help?" She asked, "I w-w-want to b-b-breath fresh air" She petted Hopes head, "G-g-good girl, for b-b-bringing me"

She scooted herself closer to him pressing her cheek against his chest, they were helpless. Neither of them grew up regular lives, and at the same time Nyx knew nothing of the human lifestyle. Her head popped up as she gasped. "Is there a music room in the school?" She wiggled at the thought of playing music or listening to music. She hopped up and pulled his hand to pull him up. "Or let's go dancing, lets me stand on your feet like we were kids." She tugged at him. "Let's do soommeetthiinngggg." She whined.

Alex smiled at her and tilted his head down to steal another kiss from her. "Alright, you win. what do you want to do?"

She blinked after the kiss, that was going to be hard to getting used to. Her face flushed pink as she stuttered over what her last thoughts were. "Uh... let's. Go... dance?" She said her voice fluttering like the butterflies in her stomach.

Alex was about to agree when he suddenly remembered something. "Hey," He started awkwardly, "You remember you don't have, you know..." he looked down sheepishly. "Maybe we shouldn't do anything too active."

She frowned and plopped back down on to the couch. "I can't just sit around all day." She pouted.

Alex walked behind the back of the couch and leaned down so he could put his arms around her, his head right next to hers. "We could still go to the music room, or you could meet my sister, or you could pout there an look pretty." He shrugged and stood up again. "Up to you."

Austin sat in his dorm room, his legs crossed, eyes closed. He wasn't sure when training would begin, but till then he would mediate. His breathing was slow and deep, his hands rested on his sides. Again, unknown to him, lava began to circle around him. The mixture of his powers. He took a deep breath in, relaxing his muscles starting at his feet and working his way up. Generally he stopped mediating once he reached his head, because there is not much to do after that, and without it outside thoughts would make their way in.
