I made one more character who will act more or less as a support and plot development for my main character. He may be overpowered, but he is mostly there for the intrigue, and he may not even fight. Let me know if this is too much, but again, I really doubt I'm going to put him through very much, if any, combat.

Virgil Noctis.:. Male || 25 || 5'11" || 160lbs .:.
Name: Virgil Sin
Gender: Male
Age: Physically, 25, true age has been forgotten
Race: Fallen Archangel
Orientation: Heterosexual
Personality:Insouciant on the surface, but virtuous at heart, Virgil has descended to earth to escape his strict responsibility as an archangel and enjoy the finer things in the mortal realm. He maintains a low profile and rarely talks about himself. Virgil treats most beings with disdain due to his previous position as an archangel, but he is quite conniving and often finds himself indulging in the affairs of others. He does not take himself seriously and has spent the last millennium assuming different personas. Only one being in the world is currently aware of what he truly is, and all others assume that he is human.
Virgil is naturally gentle and prefers to avoid violence, but he does not hesitate to deliver judgment on those who have done wrong. He disguises his true power and identity with his hedonistic lifestyle, constantly smoking cigarettes, drinking, and general mellowness. He also collects antiques and enjoys reading. Virgil tends to fall asleep during situations he finds boring. If there is combat going on around him and he is not any direct danger, he will take a nap, read a book, or even make snide comments here and there.
History:Since his ‘fall’, Virgil has never mentioned anything about his past. When he fell, however, he lost most of his supernatural powers, and the only thing that remained was his eternal youth. He landed at the southernmost point of Zahr where he ate, drank, and slept lavishly for several years until the region of Zahr became too contaminated with radiation for any to live in. Before leaving, an Inscriptionist came to the decadent town Virgil had stayed in looking to set up a shop. Virgil and the Inscriptionist shared a common interest in human antiques and books, and the two spent some time together conversing about the “old world” . Iniitally the inscriptionist had wanted to sell Runes, but after seeing the Inscriptionist’s work, Virgil grew even more interested and convinced the Inscriptionist to be extremely selective over who he should give runes to.
Virgil then travelled around the world meddling in the affairs of nobles and causing tragedies for his own enjoyment. Whenever he would spark a tumultuous family affair, he would act as a mediator and often asked for odd items as payment - anything from a chalice to a book or set of books. He would often go for an antique he fancied first before anything else.
After collecting dozens of antiques, Virgil return to Zahr where he reunited with the Inscriptionist and offered him some of his collection, and recounted his experiences. Inspired by the stories Virgil had told him, the Inscriptionist promised to only offer Runes to those who could entertain him. Before Virgil left, the Inscriptionist gave virgil a Rune to allow him to call upon his angelic wings so he could visit more frequently and share his adventures. Virgil then continued to travel the world, collecting books, antiques, and fine liquor whilst meddling in human affairs. He continued to visit the Inscriptionist after each affair to share stories and antiquities, and the two became close friends
One day, Virgil began to have dreams from Heaven about the birth of another angel. He continued to have these dreams, and each night, the dreams became more intense. Along with these strange premonitions, his chest began to throb and ache until Virgil fell into a feverish state. For 280 days, he cycled between dreamlike trances and periods of paralyzing agony, and on the 281st day, he awoke with a rune on his chest, a rune on his right shoulder, and a sense of purpose in helping the angel in his dreams. Virgil returned to the inscriptionist and told him of his feverish spell and premonitions along with his true identity. After giving most of his worldly possessions to the Inscriptionist to keep for safe keeping, Virgil also instructed him to create the enso, and to bestow a twin rune to one who resembles his kind before bidding farewell.
Virgil now travels the world, and while he still indulges in toying with beings, he remains vigilant in his goal.
Runes:Left Hand ||
Enso || Primarily dormant rune and can only be activated in conjunction with Ella’s Enso rune. The two combined have the power to create anything out of nothing, but can only be done so under extreme duress. Often mistaken as his physical attributes boost.
Back stretching out past each shoulder blade ||
Forsaken Grace || Gift from the inscriptionist. Allows Virgil to call upon his angelic wings to fly at such great speed that some mistake it for teleportation. This rune is only used for long distance travel and is practically useless in small places due to the size of hiw wings.
Across his chest from shoulder to shoulder ||
Penance || The rune he received after 280 day trial. It can be used to open The Gate of Babel, allowing him to open a gate to Heaven to transport his holy items. The rune itself is a more of a reminder of his mission.
Right Shoulder ||
Sefirah || The second rune he received after his 280 day trial. This grants him access to an initial 20% of his original power as an archangel, thereby allowing him to channel his holy energy for greater control over his abilities. Holy light radiates from his body, and can be felt by anyone nearby. When accessing the full amount granted to him, his halo can be seen. He must be granted access to increase the amount of holy energy, and this is done on a case by case basis. When granted full access, he is only permitted to use it for a minute.
Items:~ A jug full of nothing but heavenly wine.
~ Several packs of cigarettes - one set is similar in the calming effects of tobacco but made specifically for holy beings, and another is for human consumption if people ask him for some.
~ A black coat with an inside pocket that is connected to a small dimension. The pocket is capable of holding just about anything, but Virgil just has his cigarettes, his jug, some books, and some money inside it. Sometimes carries antiques and special items depending on what persona he uses.
~
No Name Virgil's own personal sword, unnamed out of laziness. Strengthened by holy energy directly channeled from his Sefirah to the point that it is indestructible and can cut through any material in the mortal realm when he exudes all of his holy energy. Can only be drawn from the Gate of Babel. No other being can pick the blade up. Virgil can also teleport the blade from any location when it is in the mortal realm.
~
Angel Blade The standard sword for all angels. For all intents and purposes, the only difference from any mortal sword is that it is indestructible.
Transportation:Virgil uses his flight to travel long distances in a flash. He normally uses this to traverse across long stretches of wasteland.
Skills:+
Gospel of Angels A holy enchantment that grants him eternal youth and a body that can withstand any environment. After receiving Sefirah, the enchantment also relieves him of basic human needs, such as breathing, eating and sleeping, and he is fueled solely by holy energy. He eats and sleeps anyway, just to enjoy it.
+
Enlightenment of The Sacred Tree This skill negates all mental interference completely (ie, illusions, charm effects, etc), and reduces physical damage and increases regeneration relative to the amount of holy energy he is channeling.Minimum potential is 0 for defense, and regeneration can take an hour to a full day depending on the severity of the wound. Max potential is 50% reduction of physical damage and near instantaneous regeneration.
+ Expert Swordsman trained from the Heavens - an elegant dual wielding fighting style that requires extravagant movements but is quite deadly.
+ Angelic charm that affects all beings in varying degrees. He can use his charm at will.
+ Clairvoyance: uses a "sixth sense" allowing him to sense any target in a 4 mile radius, and increases his natural instincts.
Strengths:+ Angelic strength, speed, agility, endurance and mental acuity. His full attribute potential when channeling all of his holy energy is ten times that of a human at peak physical potential, but when channeling only the minimum amount, his attributes are only twice as powerful as a human at peak physical condition.
+ Extremely high tolerance to mind-altering substances and poisons due to the Gospel of Angels. This includes alcohol.
+ High charisma and cunning to manipulate lesser beings.
+ Genius level intellect and eidetic memory.
Weaknesses:- He is an alcoholic despite his extremely high tolerance. Drinks normal alcohol like it’s water, and consumes ten times the average human to feel the effects. (ie, a whole bottle of liquor just to get a buzz). However, since he gained the Gate of Babel, he drinks holy nectar, which is more potent to angelic beings and has an unrivaled taste.
- Despite his newfound sense of purpose, Virgil still gets distracted by material wants and only fights if it is deemed absolutely necessary (ie, his life or Ella's is in danger).
- Hardly ever taps into his holy energy, and when he does, only taps 10% of it. Does so as to not reveal his identity.
- Weak against dark and cursed powers/weapons. More demonic/weapons powers can drain him of his holy energy.
Likes:+ Alcohol
+ Antiques
+ Books
+ Leisurely strolls at night
+ Conversing with Strangers
+ Naps
+ Toying with lesser beings
Dislikes:- Pompous Individuals
- Alarm Clocks
- Being woken up prematurely
- Cheap Alcohol
Holy Energy:~ Virgil initially channels 5% of his holy energy at all times. There is no noticeable change in his physical appearance, and it is virtually undetectable.
~ At 10%, Virgil's eyes glow a light blue and he radiates a holy aura around his body. The holy energy resembles that of a rune activation.
~ Beyond 10%, Virgil's holy aura grows and can be sensed at greater distances depending on how much he channels. At full potential, anyone within a 50 mile radius will notice it, and those closer will feel its pressure.
~ He can also transfer portions of his holy energy to other angelic beings.
~ Holy energy acts as a form of magic, but is separate in that it can only be channeled directly from Heaven and does not disperse into the earth once it is used.
