Adventurers of Lemea OOC
(Lands of Lemea Restart)

Lands of Lemea

Far, far on the eastern edge of the known world stands Lemea,
There is said, that somewhere north from the Lacremia Mountains stands,
The Well of Wishes, which is said to grant any wish that those which reach it may have.
Lured by such promise thousands of people, marked as adventures,
Leave for Lemea, with only a few returning from the journey...
From the "Legend of Lemea"

Parts of Lemea

(Names in these are in diffrent languages: Elv. - Elven, Yan.-Yanian, Ayy.-Ayyan)

Before you head to making a character:
Obviously no Godmodding. Silly stuff, references and so on are OK.

This will stay always open, new characters will join the group(s) when a opportunity for that arises.

Noteworthy stuff:
The most advanced technologies are those of the Empire of Alagora which is as developed as the 1550's Spain.
Elves have the highest understanding (and development) of magic and use that to counterweight humanity's technology and numbers.
This RP will definitely include Magic, Adventure, Encounters with Hostile Life forms, Casual Level IC Posts, Sceneries, Lolis.
This RP might include PC Deaths, An End, Kittens, , Reference to Manga & More.
This RP probably will not include Science Fiction, Aliens, Spaceships, Computers.
This RP will definitely not include IC One-Liners.

The year is 523 of the Era Alagoria (E.A.) and now we shall follow those which dare to become adventurers and travel trough Lemea to search for the Well of Wishes.

Questions, comments and posts of all kind are welcomed as long as you don't post just for the sake of posting (AKA no SPAM!).

Roleplayer-created section AKA all off your sheets are linked here. Those which are transferred from the old OOC have been marked with "Transfer".

Oh Lemea, once home of the Elves
Now you stand divided,
Long has time of your glory run past,
Trough your name
Still inspires people of all creeds,
Oh Land of Lemea!

Aerrea is a person able to put any kind of front need for gathering information. Her real personality is one which wishes to always be doing something, even just studying something incredibly boring (like maths) and is incredibly open towards strangers which she thinks are trustworthy. Has quite a thing for cute things, especially people. Her being brought up with both human and demon customs, made her much more open to "bedroom stuff" that other humans would, trough she knows, unlike demons, where/when is the right place/time for such things.
Naikawa is a talkative demon which is ready to chatter almost about anything except ravens (for some reason).
Immes is a stern, serious grandfather-like demon which rarely speaks but his words usually carry good advices.

Swordsmanship of advanced levels, for the needs of one information she won the title of sword champion of Sorka.
Shadow-Walking, a skill similar to Ninjitsu joined with some basic shadow & light manipulation magic for greater effect.

A physique of a demon which is quite better then a human's.

Adventuring & Survival Skills:
Pretty much an average to above average knowledge of all skills a eternal traveler needs, from bartering to fishing.

Other Skills:
Information gathering of many kinds.

Reason for traveling: Says that she wants to add "Reaching the Well of Wishes" to her adventuring achievements. Actually on a mission for the Yaes Numir Seyur.
Other: Carries all sorts of equipment for her needs, from a hunting bow to a shovel. Wears Naikawa as her outfit (over her undergarments), which can change into any desired clothing and color pattern.

Assuming I am let in, this is where I shall be planting my CS.

Also, it would be nice if the nations had a racial-makeup section; it's hard to tell at a glance whether it is primarily elves, or humans, or what have you.

EDIT: And a full race list of the already-established races, with a bit of information on them; elves, orcs, and especially demons tend to vary RP to RP.

You are more then welcomed.

Racial-make up of countries is not that important (the countries are primary there so the players can base the bios of their characters on something if none of the given countries fits for them) but I noted that a notion about any significant races inside of the country should be added inside the history or notes.

Since a list of all the given race would be humongous and time-consuming you should go with the standard of most fantasy settings with an certain amount of grey area for you to be creative. Demons can be in any kind or shape, originate from any mythology or fantasy setting like my CS shows. I don't expect much people wanting a demon character anyways. I except a lot of original creative races.

Aes'tille the Vagrant Star, second princess of the Fae Queen Tille'aisle and Stars Captain in the Heroic Order of Fairy Knights.
Age: 47
Race: Fae
Country of Birth: Fae'lanse, the Hidden Kingdom of the Faeries
Country of Origin: Fae'lanse, the Nation-in-your-Cupboard
Personality: Aes'tille is the Vagrant Star, she is free spirited and careless, as well as consumed with adventure and whimsy. She adores fun or awesome things, but will quickly discard anything that doesn't interest her, be it a magic item or a friend. She's quick to make friends and companions, however, and being a Fairy she shows natural curiosity in most things, especially mortals. She's playful, but heroic, she'll never stand by and let bad triumph over good, or leave the weak to die in the gutter. She despises tyranny, oppression and dishonourable actions, so much so that she would have no qualms with attacking a king if he was being mean to his subjects. Doesn't care much for mortal authority or morals.

Combat Skills:
  • Swordplay, Aes'tille is considered a master among her people who wields the legendary sword Shooting Star. She has developed a few magic-based sword skills, all of which come in great use when battling the giants of the mortal world.
  • Magic of Stars, the magic used by the Royal Family in Fae'lanse. This magic can produce a wide variety of effects, but is mostly centred around high-powered enchantment and beam-based destructive energy. While not comparable to the great mages of Fae'lanse or the others in her family, Aes'tille is still many leagues above most magic-users in the mortal world.

Adventuring & Survival Skills:
  • High-speed Fairy Flight, using a combination of magic and her natural wings.
  • Shape-shifting, not unlimited but able to at the most make her into a human-sized version of herself and hide her wings. Extremely efficient compared to the mortal transformation magics.
  • Guidance to the Kingdom of Fairies, a skill allowing her to transit from certain points into the magic Kingdom, Fae'lanse. This also means she's able to guide others there!
  • Fairy Navigation, the skill to find the secret Fairy Paths in the world that lead through dangerous or mysterious places alike, providing a safe way to travel through most areas.
  • Invisibility, a technique that is more a magical skill than a trait or spell. When hiding their presence, Fairies can become virtually undetectable, although it may be possible to trick them into revealing themselves.
  • Plant Manipulation, whether it's weaving flowers into an elaborate dress or creating a house from living leaves, Fairies are masters of playing with plants in the most effective ways possible.
  • Prodigal Learning, a skill possessed by all Fairies which allows them to learn virtually any skill with three times the haste and mastery of an ordinary human. This includes things such as conversation skills or speech habits, but doesn't include things the Fairy isn't interested in.

Other Skills:
  • Floral Enchanting, a magical skill which allows the Vagrant Star to enchant flowers to possess various abilities or traits.
  • Communication with All Things, a trait unique to Fairies which allows them to listen to the language of all things and communicate with even the dirt under their feet. Applies significantly more towards cats or cat-like entities, due to her possessing Shooting Star.

Reason for travelling: The Vagrant Star seeks nothing but adventure, wonder and enjoyment. She is the most free of her sisters, so she is expected to experience the mortal world in all of its worth.

There is just one problem - Yaes Numir Seyur (Union, Military, of Demons) is what occupies most of Aniyas, except for those two areas mentioned that the Geworia taken by force or were given to Alagoria in return for favored trade relations and a yearly tribute in gunpowder weapons. Also Aniyas has a civilization older then Rheas - not many tribes now dot it's landscape - most countries up until the Geworian arrival were kingdoms or city states, except in the cold northern ice fields and southern lush jungles.

Well since Yeas Numir Seyur is a military alliance in which each member has it's own political life so if you just note that in the face of the Geworian invaders they joined Yeas Numir Seyur and for now stopped warring with numerous southern kingdoms and city states it should be OK.

A information - the word Seyur actually means "Those which inhabit the western lands", this western lands being Aniyas, and Seyur is the ancient Rheas name for those which inhabit Aniyas.

So somehow incorporate the country into Yeas Numir Seyur or just move it to the Dorme-facing coast-lands of Lowenar.

Waiting for more character sheets and Tatsua to copy race and country sheet from the Lands of Lemea OOC.

The Hidden Kingdom of Fae'lanse...

Name: Fae'lanse, also known as the Hidden Kingdom or sometimes the Realm of Fairies.
Political System: Monarchy (Led by the Queen of Fairies and her wonderful Princesses.)
Location: "Aelis'ri 'n Eine", a place often referred to as being everywhere and nowhere. Existing parallel to every kingdom in the world, the hidden realm of fairies exists in all places at once, but can only truly be found when guided by their mystical inhabitants. Because of how Fae'lanse's magic works, it has been known to appear in countless absurd places in the past, one fairy once even reported guiding a human there by travelling through an empty goblet at one point. The human miraculously fit, but it truly is a testament to the strength of Fairy Magic for an entire kingdom to be hidden within such a small space.
Other: Due to how it's been concealed in the shadows of all "Mortal" kingdoms, Fae'lanse is unknown to most outside of legends and tales. It is not recognized as real by most individuals and nations, although some magic-savvy folk have come close to discovering it in the past.

...and its magical inhabitants, the Fairies.

Name: Fae (Fairykind, Fairies, Fairy)
Homeland: N/A
Country: Fae'lanse
Common Physical Features: Often small in stature and with pointed ears, most Fae also possess fair skin and glowing, colour-changing eyes that set them apart from ordinary mortals. All Fae possess wings of some sort, although the type of wings is often dependant on the individual.
Common Physiological Features: Fairies are among the only varieties of "Existential Beings" in this world, they don't possess a life in the conventional sense, instead they are more akin to a sentient magical phenomenon that continues to exist only because it continues to believe in its own existence. Technically, this makes them immortal, but due to various circumstances as well as a vulnerability to existential attacks, this is not actually the case.
Common Magical Features: All Fae are masters of shape-shifting, flight and invisibility. They possess a prodigal magical ability that surpasses even that of the elves, and if given enough time, most Fae would be able to master any conceivable technique, art or spell simply through watching it preformed.
Other: For the sake of simplicity, I've done my best to avoid mentioning Fairy pronunciation. Mostly because Fairies don't like logic all that much.

Well, I just need it to be somewhere cold and frozen, so if that region in Lowenar fits, I'll shift it there.

I'll post my created race and country first.

Race -
Name: Arakan
Homeland: Arakan Expanse
Country: Arakan Expanse
Common Physical Features:
- Nearly identical in outward appearance to humans except for a few differences.
- The average height of an Arakan male is 1.87 meters; the average height of a female is 1.82 meters.
- Instead of teeth, Arakans have fangs, comparable to that of a wolf.
- Eye color is much wilder, shades of red, yellow, green and purple.
- Their skin color is darker, as they are from a desert region.
Common Physiological Features:
- Tougher skin compared to humans, they are more resistant to cuts, scrapes and bruises.
- They live an extended lifespan, Arakans max out at 500 years old.
Common Magical Features:
- Magic is uncommon among Arakans, about five percent of the population is able to use magic, and these magic users are highly regarded as healers and priests of the Arakan.
Other:
- They are a quiet uncommon race, low in numbers compared to the others. About 175k live in the Expanse.
- Many Arakans look down upon the other races and do not trust them. This doesn't necessarily make them racist, most of them just spend their own lives with their own people in their homeland.
- Many Arakans don't usually leave the Expanse willingly. Most of the few that are seen in Lemea are exiles who committed serious crimes that resulted in them being sent away from their homeland as punishment. Although sometimes traveling Arakan merchants, scouts or messengers are seen in Lemea.

Country -
Name: Arakan Expanse
Political System: Clan system (One dominant clan rules the others and runs the country, the other recognized clans have advisers so their clans input is given to the head clan)
Location: The Expanse is a desert coastal region split from Lamea by the Kazuh Mountains, it resides on the west coastline, the natural barrier of the mountains keep it isolated. Those that manage to get through the mountains would then have to cross a desert. This would place the Expanse north of the Elven Kingdom and northwest of the Orclands.
History:
The Arakan people have a long and bloody history, the race from the start has been very war oriented. The strongest Arakan warriors are revered and well respected; the order of the clans is determined by the militaristic strength of the clans.
The Arakan began as a small band of warriors, mercenaries and explorers whom migrated from the surrounding region. They moved to the harsh north western regions of Lemea, now referred to as the Arkanan Expanse. They started a settlement deep in the desert by the oceans to the northwest. Right away they began hunting, scavenging and fishing, eager to make a home in the cruel Expanse.
The Arakan people had differing ideas of how to run the country, so naturally they formed clans of descent and friendship. These early clans fought gladiatorial style matches in order to determine the rightful ruling clan, as they did not have enough people to start civil wars that nowadays happen when one recognized Arakan clan wishes to take control of the country over the current ruling one.
The Arakan prospered in the hardy Expanse, uninterrupted by the nations of Lemea that could’ve invaded if it were not for the mountain range and deserts which stopped any plan to move armies. The Arakan did send scout groups up and around the range, they did come upon mountain passes which allowed them access to the rest of Lemea. These scouts interacted with other races they came upon. They returned many months later with tales of faraway settlements and strange races.
Nowadays, there are five recognized clans, other smaller ones exist, but they do not meet the requirements to be recognized. The current ruling clan is Ithric, the overall Arakan leader being Beson Ithric, who has ruled for 41 years. The four other recognized clans are Kacar, Eacyn, Kaedma and Jonaloc. Beson’s rule has been well received and tensions are low amongst the clans.
Notes:
- Most of the other races tend to stay away from the Arakan Expanse, though the Arakan welcome anybody who can trek through the mountains and desert to reach their settlement.
- The Arakan have no true organized military at the moment, if they ever were attacked, the ruler of all the clans would unite every clan and create a fearsome, well trained military force.

Nice but I would suggest that a highly arid krast highland in the Kazuh Mountains with a single mountain pass leading out of it to a small west-facing coast or a area of desert coast split from Lamea by Kazuh Mountains, both somewhere alongside the west coast of Lemea, would be much better as a location for you country since otherwise the sturdy Orcs would braved trough any desert while settling in Lemea, only a great natural obstacle in which even they can't move and live without extreme troubles like the Kazuh Mountains would stop their advancement.
