Cannons = Rocket launchers, Mortar Launchers, and Artillery Cannons

If you read previous I am letting people post their CS's today and of them I am choosing two to be the last who join the game. I will be bringing in more people but that won't be for a long time down the road.

Sauron - So your character just roams around killing... what, everything? Besides a dark legend what are you? Split personality disorder? A girl wanting vengence? Run away from the monolith?
Avan - I like the story, I think the weapons are a bit odd seeing as you can only use them one at a time when one is shoulder mounted and the other requires one hand. Seems like you're putting yourself at a disadvantage.

No offense but does anyone else think Sauron's Frame is a little OP. If you keep close count the weapons they chose add up to much more than ten units and its armor is described as i see it impenetrable yet classed as 4 units. the only thing i dont have a problem with is it having a 1 agility(it probably get that from carrying so much fire power not the "heavy duty" armor.

thats just my two cents. like i said no offense just curious.

Born into the most noble and ancient house of Dahlbergh, nothing very interesting happened. Over the years, the Dahlbergh family has built up quite the reputation of battle prowess. The Swedish town in which they lived was a rather traditional one, keeping the old style of architecture and whatnot. There was a great respect for their family in their town, and it was well earned. Thanks to certain connections the family, they were capable of attaining their own CVF's, when they were sold to large corporations.

As Brandt grew older, and received his own Frame, he was trained to be the best in combat. Per his mothers request, his Frame was a custom one, perhaps one of the strongest there were, as far as armor went. With his frame, he joined a military group called the 'Sons of Scandinavia.' This massive ensemble of monstrous machines fought against the Prometheus movement, as did most of that region.

It is noteworthy that during a battle against the Prometheus movement, a terrible loss was suffered. Almost all of Brandts unit was taken out, and the rest of them were taken hostage, to expose weaknesses in the 'Sons of Scandinavia.' After enough ransoms were paid, and unfortunate secrets were pried out of tortured mouths, Brandt and three of his surviving unit had been released, mostly intact, other than a missing arm on Brandt.

However, some politician made some rather large mistakes in what they said, and soon the might of 'The Seaboard Frontier' was unleashed upon their army. It wasn't long before they were wiped off of the map, eliminating one of Europe's last CVF forces. Brandt escaped, fleeing to Midwestern Wasteland, where he has laid low for a few years.

Description:
As far as his actual appearance is, he is built in an extremely stocky manner, he may even be called overweight by a few. It's a bit hard to tell,as he wears many layers of clothing, with a trench coat above it.

HAZARD

Name:
Aegis Model PCH000 'Hazard' (The nickname hazard comes from the color scheme of the machine.)

Description:
The above four-legged mech is painted with a design of steely gray, accented by yellow-and-black striped tape, with large searchlights all over the Frame. The large pod atop the CVF is where the pilot is kept, behind layers of reinforced armor. It is about the size of a small apartment, and allows comfortable living.

Weight Class:

• Arms- He is armed with the massive X200 Gungnir Cannon. (4)


• Armor- His armor is extremely strong, no expense spared in safety. (10)


• Agility- A painfully slow frame, it is weighed down by the massive armor, as well as the fact that each leg moves almost independently. (1)

Weapons Descriptions:
Gungnir, The Holy Cannon-
This massive laser (placed in what appears to be the eye of the frame), fires a massive pulse of energy, a rather devastating blast of sheer power, enough to slice through tier 3 armor like butter. It takes a brief moment to charge, before firing the laser, similar to the Spartan Laser of the Halo franchise.

The armor is described as heavy based on the original frame, as you can see it's a clear 10 agility unit frame, however it's armor and carrying load improved. I was worrying about that anti-personal machine gun. Of course if it is unwanted I can remove it. Also, if you want me to make the armor more understandable I will do so.

I don't think there has to be a reason for everything.
Plus, the split personality disorder was clearly described in the CS.

There usually is a reason for homicidal rampages, Avan's guy is on one against bandits because they ruined what little of a life he had previous.

Now with what you've mentioned already I can see your on another kind of revenge quest. (This is going to get DARK)

What if you're character lost her mind when she was assaulted in some way by someone she trusted, a paladin of the wastes, someone who was supposed to be one of the good guys. That reality broken, she wanted revenge and this broken part of her offered that revenge but in return she must satisfy its hunger for death. The two started the rampage of Sigismund, trying very hard to lure out the corrupted wasteland heroes who assaulted her in the past. Years would go on and she nearly forgot the crimes done to her, all she lives for now is that broken part, always telling her she is helping herself with every kill. That was until she was called on by a stranger.

It's not having to find a picture, I can do that easily, I already had the picture I'm using in my HD. It's the fact that I'm forced to use a picture that is neither accurate nor mine to use to represent something that I've already described via writing in a text-based roleplaying site. I've added the picture and would like to participate, I just find being forced to use a picture disagreeable.

On that note, my guy became a Merc to justify killing people because his family was killed during skirmishes by Mech's.

Clearly a CS can never change, right? I mean it's not like the one originally posted in the intcheck was modified from a previous roleplay and then changed further when it was posted here. And of course GMs can never ever change their minds, either.

I put a picture up, I just feel being forced to use one shouldn't be a thing what with this being a roleplaying forum where things are done via writing. I could understand it if I'd posted a wall of text, maybe, but seriously it's a couple of short paragraphs that tell you what you need to know. I even used a visual reference, just not a picture of a robot that isn't actually mine. Is it seriously so hard to imagine "Mecha made to look like a man wearing armor similar to this one" that you absolutely need a picture of a robot even if it won't really fit what was described?

Dude, get the hell over it. We're here to have fun and write together, not throw bitchfits because we were asked to add one tiny thing to the CS. Either get the hell over it, or get the hell out. Personally, I'd throw your ass out if this were my RP simply because what the GM says goes, bar none.

Now, can we please continue on in a peaceful manner that somewhat resembles a group of people with a shared interest?

Thanks for the pic, but it's not that I don't like the picture I used. I love Linebarrel's Jinrai as a design and it can even work as my machine, same with a bunch of designs from The Five Star Stories but it's not the Svyatogor. You're just looking at the Jinrai from Linebarrels of Iron, same way I look at other machines posted here and see a GN-X or a Muv-Luv TSF or the Frame Arms Gourai and so on. And I suppose there's nothing really wrong with that, it's just a roleplaying site for messing around and having fun, but I personally like trying for a measure of originality in my characters, at the very least not copying from someone else's work directly. I can't draw so I write my stuff out, and I'd expect a roleplaying site of all places to be okay with that.

No one is going to get on you for plagiarizing someone's art, unless maybe you claim you did it and even then, we likely have no way of disproving it so really who cares. It's art that someone did, you are praising them by using it as a visual representation for your character. I do it for just about every RP I participate in because I'm a visual kind of person and to actually see something is just nice. The bottom line is like Plague said, the GM says have a picture, have a picture, not complain about it and be a baby and say how it's forced upon you. That's just childish. I do agree all in all that we should get passed this dumb shit and just prepare to RP some Mech whoop-assery.
