Sam lay in his bed looking at the ceiling of his room. His axew Shade nugged him. He picked the pokemon up and smile. He quickly got dressed and ran down stairs to meet his mother who was cooking some food for them. He waited for breakfast and ate it quickly. When he was done his mother wished him luck on his journey. He and axew walked to the edge of route 1 and waited to see who else would show up.

"hit him with a seismic throw machop" said a voice as a rattata flew past the young boy with an axew, which was followed by a boy about the same age and a machop standing about half of his height both with a large smile on there face and there hands ready to strike anything in there way. The small rodent flew into a tree before passing out, the boy and his pokemon high fives they noticed the young boy next to them and after a small victory dance they proceeded to introduce themselves.

"hello, how do you do, sorry if we go in your way" said the boy with a large smile

"Rill! Rill, Rill! Azurill?"

Rosina Orla was asleep in her cozy bed, in her cozy room, in her cozy house located in the coziest town in the world; Pallet Town. This was the perfect condition for Rosina to sleep in, drool trickling out of her mouth, and a frantic Azurill who was trying to get her up on a very important day.

Rose turned around in her bed. "Go away, Azurill.... five more minutes." she mumbled before drifting back off to sleep.

"Azurill." Her Azurill had bounced up onto her bed and looked at her for a moment. Suddenly she felt a heavy jet of water hit her head.

"Waaaah!" she sat up, scared out of her wits end. Rubbing the water out of her eyes, she looked around. "Azurill! Why did you do that?" she asked, getting out of bed. He had used water gun on her again this week, and she feared it was becoming a habit. Oddly enough she didnt see the little guy in her room. "Azurill where are you?" she called, and a moment later he bounced into her room, a towel hanging between its teeth.

Rosina smiled and reached down to take the towel, laughing. "Thanks buddy. Todays a big day for us isint it? You wait downstairs while i get ready."

He quickly hopped out of the room and Rose changed into some clean clothes, grabbed her bag, and drew her pale red hair into a ponytail, before running downstairs herself. After the two of them ate a few berries, they bid farewell to her parents and took the short walk to Route 1.

With Azurill in her arms, she slowly approached two boys. One had a big smile and the other looked really laid back and chill. "Hi there!" she said waving with one hand and running up to them. "Azurill!" her pokemon squealed in her other arm. "I'm Rosina. Call me Rose though. Are you guys Trainers?" she asked curiously.

Dratini had slept in, unlike Mana who was already dressed and ready to go thirty minutes before her alarm clock rang. Dratini stretched and wiggled around in Mana's bed before letting out a cute yawn. Mana excitedly jumped onto her bed and caught Dratini before she flew off.

"Alright! No more sleepy time, you got it? This is the biggest day of our lives!" Mana exaggerated and grabbed her bag. She bolted down the stairs, skipping the last five steps and ran into the kitchen where her mom was waiting.

"You seem excited enough," Mana's mom giggled and handed her a container. "I packed some berries for you. Oh, and don't forget the money pouch!" She grabbed a small colorful pouch from the counter that had enough to start off her daughter's great adventure. Mana smiled and gobbled up her breakfast while sneaking Dratini a few bites. Once her plate was empty, she made way for the front door.

"I'll miss you mom! Don't worry, I'll come back to visit you soon!" Mana concluded her goodbyes abruptly and marched outside. Suddenly her mom called out to her from behind.

"You forgot your hat!" She reminded and tossed it. Mana thanked her and scooped up Dratini in her arms. Alright, this is finally it! Let's go! She thought to herself and began following along route 1. She noticed some trainers that seemed around her age chatting and felt it was the perfect chance to make friends. Slowly making her way there a bit suspiciously, Mana began striking up a conversation.

"A-ah, hello! I'm Mana and I'm a new trainer!" She stopped her sentence there and awkwardly stood without knowing what else to say. Well, this seems good enough... Dratini wrapped herself around Mana's arm and observed the other trainers.

'Jeez... when are they going to leave..?' Hana watched silently the other trainers congregate on Route 1, hidden behind one of the larger trees nearby, and shuddering slightly in fear. She was just about to begin her journey across this new land her mom called Kanto with Arari, but when Hana noticed someone with an Axew approach from Pallet Town, the timid girl dove into the nearest cover on instinct. Now that more of them has come, there's even less of a chance she'll be coming out anytime soon.
There was a ruffling in the bush. "A-Arari..?" Hana whispered, as the noise seemed to come closer and closer. She began to inch towards the noise, hoping it was her cute little bunch of eggs. "Is t-that you, Arari..?"
"EEEK!" she shrieked, stumbling backwards as a Rattata rocketed out of the bush and towards the trainers, with her Exeggcute chasing after it.

David walked around route 1 with his budew: Rose. David saw some trainers with their pokemon and walked over to them They saw the trainer with a machop defeated a ratta. The machop must be strong. He smiled at the trainers and said "Hello all. My name is David, and this is my Budew, Rose." Rose jumped up and said happily "budew!"

Sha sat on a rock reading a old leather bound book near the start to route 1 her gastly floating around her in a circle over her head "gast,gast," he called out phasing though the book looking her in the face she couldn't help but smile "you sure know how to make a bunch of noise" she closed the book and placed it in her lap that's when she heard others, "ohhh that's why your so hyper you heard them while I was reading" the gastly bobbed its head and Sha got off the rock and placed her book under her arm.

Carter was just approaching Route 1, coming from Viridian City, when he noticed a bunch of people standing at the entrance to Pallet Town. He raised and eyebrow and turned to his Teddiursa, who was just barely tall enough to see over the grass. The two of them had been getting some practice in, hoping to become strong enough to get through Viridian Forest without any help. Some of the Pokemon were still giving them trouble, particularly the Weedles with their poison sting.

Teddiursa pulled on Carter's pant leg and he looked down. The small bear Pokemon's paw was in it's mouth, like it usually was. "Do you want to go say hi?" Carter asked, interested in the group himself. Teddiursa smiled wide. "Urs! Ursa!" He said, pulling on Carter's pant leg again. Carter smiled. "Okay, we'll go see who they are." He said, walking with Teddiursa. He brushed the light brown hair out of his green eyes and they walked up to the group.

There were several Pokemon he had never seen before, and he smiled, finally getting a chance to use his Pokedex. It logged an Axew, Gastly, Dratini, Azurill, Exeggcute, and Budew. It also updated his information on Machop. He walked up to them all and smiled. "Hi! Do you guys know each other or something?" He asked. The group was all about the same age.

Milo was asleep on the couch, last thing he had in the house besides him and his poocheyena. "Well this is it," he said heart heavy waking up his poocheyena that was sleeping on his belly, "time to go buddy."
"Pooooch, poocheyena,"
"I know I don't want to leave either, we can't keep the house since mom and dad passed away, come on this was our day to leave."

Poocheyena whimpered to him in return, Milo couldn't help but to think of his family, the two explorers who went missing and then their bodies found somewhere in the Korrano region (stole that from another role play).

He walked out of the house that he no longer owned, no money to his name, and only his poocheyena that he was raised with. "Time to follow my parents footsteps," he thought he turned towards route 1 to see a gathering of trainers all near the same age, all with pokemon, all different, "well might as well join them," he whispered alloud. "What do you say boy?" He asked poochyena, who gave a whole hearted bark to say yes, "alright away we go." He strolled up casually and silently with poochy at his side.

The machop easily defeated the young boy's rattata despite the top percentage, it was quick but a grab followed by a seismic toss was all it took. A smirk on the face of the winner sent the rattata and it's boy flying towards the nearest nurse joy. Just as He had expected, the machop and his trainer ran behind the boy knowing that were the pokecenter's were there would also be a town. His plan work, pallet town was just ahead according to the sign. With a slight smile to each other the machop and trainer ran on until the boy screamed and ran faster, they decided to let him go before they walked on. As entered pallet town he noticed the lack of... amazement, he rarely ever went to the towns but they all seemed to be more special than this one. Still he needed food and if possible pokeballs.

Terry woke up and started his action plan immediately. His parents had left yesterday for a vacation, and a few weeks ago, terry had found the password to the storage room in his mansion. Terry's parents bred Pokemon for a living, and they got rich off of it. But they never let Terry have his own Pokemon for fear he would leave them. He had everything, except that which he desired the most. He punched in the pass code and entered the room. There were crates with sleeping Pokemon, and rows upon rows of eggs. The closest one to the door was a depressed looking eevee. When he reached to open the cage, the eevee made a growling noise. Pho weber, when he opened it up, the eevee hopped onto his shoulder and started to get really happy at being let out. Terry made his way down to route one, where he saw some other trainers. "Is this the starting point for new trainers?" She said with a grin as eevee jumped onto his head.

Rosina waved hello to everyone who had walked up. "Hey everyone. Um, i guess this is the meeting place but really....who are we waiting for?"

She had noticed the guy who had the Teddiursa and she went up to him, jumping up with excitement, as her Azurill hopped out of her arms to go and greet the Teddiursa, who then went along to meet the other pokemon.....or stare at them really. "Woah you have a Pokedex!?" she asked him, peering at the gadget and completely forgetting to introduce herself. She looked at the Fine Styler she wore on her arm, which she had recieved it after becoming a Top Ranger in her region. It seemed oddly less cool compared to the Pokedex this guy had. Though, since she was trying to become a trainer now, everything about them seemed cooler.

"How do you use that thing?" she asked him. She had heard about the Pokedex before but didn't really know what it was. "Do the Pokemon go in there?" she asked, getting it confused with a pokeball. "Do I get one? How do you spend time with your pokemon if their crammed in there? Do trainers have partners? Do your pokemon go away after you become friends with them? Am I asking too many questions?" she finished realizing she had started rambling. She smiled, a bit embarassed. She didnt want to appear like a fangirl, she was just really excited.

Budew bounces and smiled at the trainers and their pokemon. David smiled and said "Rose likes meetin new people. She also likes to due battles." The pokemon face got serious and it wanted to battle one of the trainers pokemon. David smiled and saw a trait of his mother's roserade, the eagerness to battle. He looked a the new trainers "anyone want to battle us?"

I will gladly take you one" said the young man as his machop walked behind him, setting in a boxing stance before the battle could start. throwing jabs and stretching to bet ready. He was sure that they would beat them, he had no real training as a trainer and the machop was a rare commodity in the mountains, he had never met it before but they seemed to get along well enough, something about the energetic attitude of the machop and the obsequious attitude of the boy worked so well, they were a surprisingly good team. Yet the resistance of fighting type moves kept the rival at an advantage, though that wasn't to say he could not win and the Pokemon seemed eager to try out the small Pokemon. Still the boy assumed the same stance as his companion.

Hana watched along with everyone else as the two trainers, one with a little blue Pokemon and the other with a plant bud Pokemon, began to have their first battle unfold. She was trying to keep her head low in the little group on Route 1, and tried to keep energetic Arari from hopping around. Not wanting to be with them for too long, Hana tried to slink away into the path towards Pewter City, but froze right before the tall grass not too far away when she remembered the little scene from earlier, and how afraid she was of wild Pokemon.
The group may be Hana's only chance of actually exploring Kanto, even if she isn't that much of a people person. At least they won't jump out of bushes and scare her like the Ratattas do.. right?

Carter was taken aback by this new girl's forwardness and curiosity. He smiled, though, and opened his Dex for her, pressing the main catalog button. It popped up a list of all previously scanned Pokemon, and left blanks in the empty spaces.

"This is a Pokedex. It's not a Pokeball, or anything. It simply records data." He clicked down through the short list of his known Pokemon. "See? Basically I can just scan a Pokemon and it will give me information on that type. As for your other questions... Well, you could probably get one from Professor Oak. That's who gave this one to my dad, who gave it to me. And What I think you're confusing this for is a Pokeball." Carter said, taking a couple of the red and white spheres out of his bag. Currently there was only one on his belt, for Teddiursa. The balls were a little bit bigger than golfballs, in passive mode. He clicked the button and they expanded to the size of a softball. "See? It uses pocket dimension technology to store a Pokemon in a safe environment." He handed her one. "You can have that one. It's empty, but you can use it to catch a Pokemon."

"Do Pokemon go away after you make friends with them? Hmmm... I don't think so. Teddiursa's never wanted to leave, right buddy?" Carter looked down, expecting to see Teddiursa, but he and the girl's Azuril had run of to meet the other Pokemon. "Ah...what I meant was, even if your Pokemon aren't with you on your journey, you'll always be friends with them." Carter smiled, satisfied with that answer.

"What else did you want to know?" He thought for a moment, counting off her questions on his fingers, and then he nodded. "Right. 'Do trainers have partners?' Of course! Every trainer is the partner to their Pokemon. The more Pokemon you have, the more friends you have, and the more partners you have! If you're good friends with your partners, you become a strong team! Unless you meant, like...other trainers as partners." He looked around at the group. "It's the same thing, really. People can partner up with each other, like people and Pokemon. The better friends you are, the better partners you are." He grinned and offered his hand. "Speaking of which, I'm Carter Dane. Maybe we can be partners too?"

David looked at the challenger. He and his machop looked tough but Rose wanted to battle. Rose only knows three attacks and only one caused damage. Rose nods and David smiles. "Alright Rose.." Her stun spore could help against this machop. "Rose use stun spore!" The but pokemon fired the orange spore at Machop

Rosina listened intently as the boy answered all her questions. She smiled wide when he gave her her very first pokeball. He introduced himself as Carter Dane and then suggested they could be partners.

"Oh, i forgot to introduced myself as well. My name is Rosina Orla and I'd love to be your partner!" she threw her hands up in excitement thrn reached into her bag and pulled out her belt that would eventually hold her pokemon team. Putting it on then looking at the pokeball, she called to Azurill who bounced over a moment later with Carter's Teddiursa in tow.

"Azurill. Look what i have! Its your pokeball!" she said excitedly. Doing what she had saw trainers do on t.v, she gently tossed the pokeball at het Azurill who was then surrounded by a red glow, then pulled into the ball. She waited while the ball wiggled three times before making a light sound. Reaching down to pick it up, she held it in her hands and looked at Carter.

"This is so cool. I cant wait until i get to make more new pokemon friends. As a Ranger, once you were done using a pokemon to help with a mission, you had to say goodbye, no matter how close you got. The only pokemon i ever got to really bond with is my Azurill since he was my partner." she gave a half smile. "Hopefully now i wont have to say many more goodbyes." she looked at the pokeball that Azurill was inside and frowned.

"How do i get him out?" she poked the center and it got bigger again. "Oh." she placed it on the ground and Azurill came back out, smiling happily. "Rill, rill!"

Rosina looked around at the others in the group. "Is the Professor going to give all of us a Pokedex? There are alot of us here. Maybe he'll make some groups." she finished, placing a hand on her hip.

Carter smiled. "If we split up the group, you and I should stick together, partner!" Teddiursa seemed to agree.

Carter was so caught up with Rosina, he almost didn't notice The girl stopped at the edge of Route 1. He smiled and walked over to her, coming from behind. He tapped her lightly on the shoulder. "Hey, whatcha doin'?' he asked her. Teddiursa walked forward as well. "Urs?" He said, his paw in his mouth.

Carter looked back at the group. Two of the trainers were battling, the rest seemed to be watching and chatting. "Are you going off on your own? We could stick together in a group."

Erin looked at the orange powder and shrugged it off throwing a karate chop expecting his pokemon to do just the same, only for it to be stopped in its tracks and to fall on the opponent's pokemon.
