Since this hasn't resolved itself yet Imma throw my two cents in.
Before we take the discussion any further (and yes, a discussion, not a fight please.) I'd like to point out that you, thewizardguy clearly are more knowledgeable on physics than we are. Te be honest I too thought that pyrotechnics and combustion were doable. Looking at Iron man 3.
I figured vampires could use their psionic abilities to control their body manually and push it beyond reasonable limits. So I thought he upped his body heat. Though the flames would be minimal at most he would still turn the room into an oven. I thought the wings to be fluff mostly, I thought he wasn't as much flying, more falling dramatically.
I don't know if that is correct, I know the pillar of fire that blasts a hole in the hull is not realistic. I wasn't sure on the rest so I decided to wait your and shikaru's responses before continuing. Result: you exploded as well, while Shikaru seems to operate mostly on the rule of cool.
The way I see it there's 2 ways of fixing this: either we retcon or we adjust. If we retcon wraithblade has to think of something else, with our shared assistance. If we adjust, we make the post work in realistic physics.
But either way remember that:
- we aren't all as knowledgeable on thermodynamics.
- It's hard to see where psionics end and magic begins
- Jack was powerful, I'm not saying he wasn't fair. It's been clear to me from the start that everyone was going all out so this escalation was expected.
But don't say he didn't have superpowers. Smartest human alive with an immense budget > super strength and psionics.
There's a reason Jack was winning. Narratively it was inevitable that someone took him down a peg, otherwise it wouldn't be an exiting story. But you wrote him rather airtight, so when someone does it, some rules break.
- this really shouldn't be the end. Let Martin 'save' Jack and bring him back later for revenge, meanwhile you play the ninja, the beast and the alpha.
