Booker nods in understanding. He then sees her tears and can't help but wipe wipe them away for her, using his bandaged right hand to do so. "Well...I'm here for you if you need me.." He says.

Mason looked up at him. "Thank you." She whispered

Booker nodded, looking back at her.

Mason hugged him

This caught Booker off guard, but he hugged her back regardless.

"Thank you." Mason mumbled again

"You're welcome.." Booker responds, holding Mason close.

Mason closed her eyes

Booker felt...happy. For once, he felt genuinely happy in his life.

Mason opened her eyes and looked up at Booker's face

Booker looked down at Mason, curious as to whether or not she had something to say.

Mason got up onto her tiptoes and kissed his cheek

Booker faintly blushed when Mason did this, and felt that it'd only be fair if he did the same, so, he leaned in and kissed her cheek.

Booker pulled back to look at Mason again, surprising himself the most by happy he was.

"Heh, your smile is contagious, you know?" Booker remarks, smiling down at her.
