It has a few advantages over the Prometheus. The more advanced alien technologies were integrated into the original design rather than tacked on after the fact."

NOTE: While Vanja lives, Ylva Falk is deceased.

Name: Ylva Falk | Vanja
Rank: Captain (Army, NATO rank) | Senior Deep-cover agent
Callsign: Ebola / Doc. Ebola
Titles: SV, Doc.VRAL, Ba.HG (specialist virology, doctor of viral genetics, bachelor of human genetics)
Role: Science officer, expert in genetics and virology. | Tok'ra infiltrator. Ex.Member of the high council.
Age: 27 (born March 1st, 1987, International waters) | 2312 (unknown location)
Gender: Female | Technically asexual, but considers self female.

Appearance:
Lean, but not lanky, she is physically nearly in perfect shape for her size and weight. Her face is unremarkable, her hair pale brown. She looks several years younger than she is.
Ylva keeps her hair short out of convenience. Her eyes are pale, almost icy blue. Her skin is as pale white as her scandinavian roots dictate. In a crowd, she would not stand out.
As for clothes, she will generally wear clothes that she consider practical. Appearance has never been all that important to her. In her military role, that means some sort of uniform, whereas as a scientist, it'll be casual clothes and a lab coat. Sometimes she'll wear a mix of these.
Ylva is 169.4 cm tall and weighs just short of 64 kg.

Blending:
To everyone else, it is not known how Vanja met Ylva, or when she blended with her. She has not been in contact with the Tok’ra High council since before her old host, Mochán, died. All her reliable information about the Tau’ri advances and the changes in the greater galaxy in recent years comes from that single contact with the other Tok’ra. There are some few things dug out from the internet and such sources, but half are complete lies and the other half is impossible to verify.

Childhood (host):
Ylva was born in 1987 on a the ship where her father was currently stationed, and where her mother also worked at the time as a civilian researcher on a long-term contract. Her mother’s research was of a sensitive nature and it would take too long to replace her, which is the sole reason she continued the project even through her pregnancy.

Following her birth, she generally moved wherever her parents were assigned/stationed, rarely staying more than a year or so in any one place. As a result, she never had many close friends, nor much social interaction with people her own age. Though she was fairly stunted here, her education was the opposite. She proved early on to be a near-prodigy, learning to read well before even starting to attend school. Her rate of learning was considerably higher than that of those her own age, so she also went through school more rapidly, starting her university-level studies years early.

Symbiote career:
Vanja has, naturally enough, a much longer career. She's held countless roles over the centuries. Spy. Assassin. Overseer. Infiltrator. Councilor. Inquisitor. Commander. All these and more among them. But she has always valued science highly. She could never take a host that would ignore its value.

Following the signing of the alliance with the Tau’ri in 1998, they quickly realized from their interactions with Jacob Carter and Selmak that where most humans of the galaxy were not all that independent, the people of the Tau’ri were both strong-minded and very independent in nature. Not to mention, they were more advanced than most societies in the galaxy, their development not having been held down by the Goa’uld. As such, they determined that they had to know more about them. They could not know whether this was true of all the Tau’ri.

As such, the High council determined that the only viable option would be to send an agent to the Tau’ri to learn more about them. He or she would not have access to the Chappa’ai, so he or she would not be able to report in through that. Following the inclusion of Earth in the Asgard’s protected planets’ treaty with the Goa’uld, they also realized that it would be possible that the Asgard would be monitoring any subspace communications to and from Earth. As such, he or she would be alone. Most Tok’ra were good infiltrators, but few could handle operations with so many unknowns. Vanja, being particularly skilled at dealing with unknown societies, volunteered. [this was around 1999-2000].

The Tok’ra covertly transported Vanja and her current host, Mochán, to the world of the Tau’ri, using a single tel’tak they had managed to acquire, then departed. To say that the adjustment was hard, would be an understatement. Still, Vanja’s eons of experience made the adjustment possible without too many errors.

Exactly what happened during the first few years is a different story. After about four-five years, Vanja received notice from the High council that Egeria had been rediscovered, but died shortly afterwards. The news were old, but it had taken time to find an agent that could be spared to track her down. It was a hard blow for Vanja, considering that she was spawned from Egeria. Rather than abandon the mission, Vanja decided that it would be all the more important to stay, for she and Mochán saw great potential in the Tau’ri. She then gave the operatives that checked in with her the information she had gathered so far.

Ironically, some time later, a common low-life shot Mochán in the back, intending to steal his valuables. Because of Vanja, he did not die immediately, but it did pretty much muck up the mission. The first person on the scene happened to be Ylva Falk, who brought him to the best doctor she knew, who in fact happened to be her ‘family’ doctor. He agreed to do his best to help Mochán, though he had no idea about the presence of Vanja. If he did discover anything during his work, he did not say anything. Over the next year, Vanja, Mochán and Ylva Falk grew closer. But there was no saving Mochán from his fate. While the rest of his injuries healed, the damage to his lower spine was irreversible with the technology readily available on earth. Mochán simply could not live with being crippled. It was too hard for him. Vanja did not like Mochán’s death wish, but could not convince him otherwise, and was too respectful of his free will to even consider forcing the issue. Vanja did not share the death wish, so she looked for other options.

Eventually, Vanja opened up to Ylva, who took it with remarkable ease. Following the initial shock, of course. The end result, was that Ylva chose to blend with Vanja and continue her mission. It was her idea initially to consider the option of actually creating a new queen for the Tok’ra. She did not know how, but she thought it would be possible. Mochán in turn, got his wish, and was permitted to die peacefully. [around 2006]

Adulthood (host):
After her first degree, a master’s degree in viral genetics, she followed her father into the military, believing that she could accomplish more as a military scientist than as a civilian scientist. Her mother wasn’t too thrilled about that choice, but did not try to stand in the way. After all, most of her projects tended to be funded by the military too. Thus, Ylva served a few years, rising to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, then went back to studying so that, among other things, she could complete her doctorate in viral genetics. The military wanted her to research bioweapons, especially in the field of stopping them, though she would also work to develop some. Her mother’s ethics affected these studies particularly, for she began the research into developing bioweapons that would self-destruct a certain time after deployment, rather than random life cycle.

The success of this research was meagre, until suddenly, some 4-5 years ago, there came significant input from scientists working out of some mysterious mountain complex in the americas. Though Ylva had some security clearance by this time, she did not have sufficient clearance to know the true sources of the advances. She had strong theories, but no facts. That clearance only came early april 2013, when she was formally hired by the IOA for the Stargate Program, so that, in their words, her skills in fields like virology could be put to use where they would most benefit the human species.

To say that everything about the stargate program and the how the galaxy truly was came as a surprise to Ylva would be a lie. But to say that nothing was surprising is just as much a lie. Vanja has not been in contact with any other Tok’ra in many years, and Ylva has never spoken to another Tok’ra. The sudden input of the new politics of the galaxy was pretty shocking to them both. They could hardly believe that the Goa’uld empire had at long last fallen. There was so much new information that it took them months of study simply to get a rough idea of what the Status Quo was.

The great increase in available resources that came with the increased security clearance gave Ylva much hope for her idea, though Vanja still thought cloning would be a more reliable solution for solving the issue of no tok’ra queen. In the years prior to her increased security clearance, she had subtly implemented several advances in her work that did not have human origins. Enough to improve human society subtly and make Ylva attractive for the Tau’ri stargate program, but not enough to be of suspected to be anything more than human. Most of it came through using what was already available, but in ways just beyond the reach of most humans.

Host personality:
Ylva is a very determined woman. She doesn't know exactly what she wants with life other than to follow in her parents' footsteps, but she never does anything other than her very best. Logic is at the core of her essence, and if she believes in anything, it would be science. She does not know that there isn't any higher power out there, but neither has she got proof such exists. Or rather, she did not have so before blending. Afterwards, she's known of the Ascended Ancients. But like them, she does not hold to worshipping such. Instead, she seeks to understand.
When she wants something, she will put her very being into achieving that goal, no matter the cost. As such, she eventually caught the eyes of the IOA. For the first few years after they hooked her in, she worked part-time with SG research on earth as a civilian, but there had always been some of her father in her, so she also served in the NATO with the rest of her time.
When the time came for the IOA to fill the crew for the latest BC-304, it did not take them long to decide that she should be on it, nor did it take her long to decide she wanted to be there.

Symbiote personality:
Vanja is not too different from her host. Being blended with each other for many years has naturally resulted in such similarity. They are both determined individuals who rely on logic. If possible, Vanja has even less belief in religion than Ylva. But then, she’s been around goa’uld and their mockery of religion her entire life. She likes using familiar solutions, even if there might be more potential for success in new solutions. in this way, she is a bit set in her ways.

She is also not above using cold, ruthless means to achieve her goals. If someone proves a potential threat to the self-assigned mission, Vanja is not above using any means of removing him or her. Permanently.

Prior to blending with Ylva, Vanja did not have any experience to speak of in virology. Diseases were almost unheard of among goa’uld and Tok’ra, so she had never taken any interest in the subject. As such, even with a number of years of being with Ylva, she still considers the subject fairly new, and doesn’t fully trust it. This is one area she clashes a bit with her host. Where Vanja persists in wanting to gain access to cloning technology and cloning a queen while inserting the genetic memories of a Tok’ra into the symbiote, Ylva thinks that other options have more potential. For example using a retrovirus to convert a tok’ra symbiote with an established personality into a queen.

The most notable effect of the blending is that Vanja is starting to think more outside the box. She has become more willing to accept unusual solutions, in part because of how Ylva thinks, but also because the Tau’ri don’t think the way most humans she’s encountered before do.

Skills:
With their shared knowledge, they have become leading experts in the fields of genetics and virology, advancing the field greatly, but not so much as to risk breaking their cover. Given a sufficiently equipped lab, she/they can construct viruses far more advanced than other tau'ri virologists, even to the point of creating diseases that break down on a timer. Almost perfect bioweapons. But they rarely do so, out of fear that they will be misused. Instead, they both focus upon a much harder field of study, that of viruses capable of altering living creatures without harming them. As of yet, that has not been a success to the degree they hope for. Sure, they've designed cures for some rare conditions formerly incurable, but it is not nearly enough to save the Tok'ra.

Of course, genetics and virology are but small parts of their skills. They're also skilled at unarmed combat, armed combat, piloting (primarily goa'uld vessels), naval and space tactics, infiltration, covert killing, espionage, acting, deceit, computers, rudimentary small unit tactics, common linguistics and many other areas. A bit of a jane of all trades, really.

Personal secrecy:
As a Deep-cover Tok'ra agent, they value their secrecy greatly. Through her father, a high-ranking member of NATO, they've ensured that both her medical and many of her personal records are so deeply classified that they might as well not exist. His own records were classified that way, so it wasn't hard for him to have hers classified as well. He doesn't know why, but he doesn't care. If she wanted it, she probably had a good reason. They share a doctor with his wife and her mother and have since early in Ylva's childhood, so all their medical exams have been done by him anyways.
He reasons that if she wants to be as secretive as him, she might as well get it. Every person has at least some quirks, and if hers are as simple as records secrecy, it is easy for him to make sure they're granted. It could certainly have been a lot worse. Secrecy is his life, so he only enjoys it more when she mimics that.
Of her medical records, only the bare bones are visible even to most military doctors. These details are the ones related to life-and-death issues. Everything else is classified, some parts more deeply than others.

Notes:
Following the blending and joining the IOA involving her in the Stargate Program, Vanja has helped Ylva manufacture a naquadah suppressant to mask the naquadah signature in their blood. Even with their skill at biology, it is not perfect. They've also ensured to have something implanted that interferes with MRIs, preventing such from being used to detect Vanja. This is excused by a supposed accident several years earlier.
Nobody except the Tok'ra High Council knows she's Tok'ra.

Personal quirks:
Due to an incident during childhood with a nurse that messed up when giving her an injection, Ylva developed a mild form of Aichmophobia. This means that she’s utterly terrified of others sticking needles and certain other sharp objects into her. Had it been stronger, she would have been excluded from any chance of military service. Her service in the armed forces naturally requires her to take certain injections and tests on a fairly regular basis. Because she would not give up the idea of following in her father’s footsteps, it was obvious a solution had to be found.

After over a month of searching, her father managed to find a doctor that not only had experience dealing with phobic patients, but also had the right security clearance. He did not want to have any doctor working on his daughter other than his own personal doctor, so security clearance was a requirement. In the years since, whenever anything medical involving needles came up, she would do it with that doctor, who can get her through it without any problems. It might at times have been inconvenient, but it generally worked out. Vanja’s influence has not helped her overcome this problem, though it has helped her when it comes to needles that aren’t to go into her own body.

Ylva does not serve much on the battlefield, so this system works fairly well. Naturally, if she’s unconscious, her phobia does not affect her.

She also can't eat fish without throwing up. Its inconvenient, but not not impossible to deal with. She doesn't make a point out of it, instead simply eating the side dishes if fish is the main course. As dietary quirks go, its one of the easier ones people can have. Nothing Vanja has tried will change this. Ylva is simply too stubborn. She doesn’t want to overcome it. While technically it is not an allergy, the effect is the same.

Because she went through both school and universities at an accelerated pace, she did not get quite as much social growth as others of her same age. Having parents that are highly focused on their respective jobs did not help either. As a result of these and other factors, she is fairly inept when it comes to social interaction, especially those related to Tau’ri customs. Unlike other fields, this is one where Vanja has proven to be fairly helpful. She might not understand Earth customs, but she knows how to interact with others without too many mistakes.

Potential exploits to the character:
Note: These details are not readily available, but can be discovered with digging.

History - Though she tries to hide it, she knows more about galactic history than she possibly should be able to know. She's been involved in a lot of it, after all.

Flora/fauna - Her knowledge of milky way flora/fauna is fairly extensive. Much can be attributed to innate skill at understanding things, but some parts would not make sense for a tau'ri to understand. She's not flawless at hiding these parts.

Crystal-based tech - She's not focused on it, but she knows quite a bit about it, especially when it comes to goa'uld/tok'ra designs. She can recognize what many arrays are supposed to do from merely looking at them.

The knowledge of the Tok'ra - She has intimate knowledge of nearly everything concerning the Tok'ra. This she's pretty good at hiding, especially because it rarely comes up.

Goa’uld - Despite Ylva not having been involved much in the war with the goa'uld, she hates their kind deeply, the way only a tok'ra can.

Naquadah-triggered tech - As a Tok'ra, she can use this. Thus she's careful not to touch anything she believes to be such. But if life and death is on the line and she thinks she can get away with it, she might step over this line.

Medical records - As stated above, most of her medical records, and quite a few of her personal ones, are deeply classified. The staggering amount of red tape covering them might make some people suspect that there is a secret to her. Which happens to be true, of course.

MRI/X-ray - She's managed to find a way to avoid MRI's (through an implant that would mess with MRI technology), but she has not found any means of stopping X-ray tech. If her torso/neck/head is X-rayed, Vanja's presence will not be possible to hide. Eventually, her luck at avoiding this will run out.

EEG - if someone connects and EEG monitor, she will have a dual signal, rather than the single signal a human Would have.

Naquadah Dampener - this technology is not flawless, and has to be utilized fairly regularly to maintain its effect. This could in theory go wrong sometime.

Experience - She has, in many ways, too many years of experience. Ylva may be less patient, but Vanja's inhuman patience sometimes bleeds through.

Eidetic memory - Read things once – know it well. If someone manages to get past all the blocks on her records, they might discover that, while she's always been somewhat of a near-genius, her memory has not always been flawless. However, getting past all that won't be easy for anyone, let alone discovering something so damning inside the secrets.

Wounds - She heals quickly. She can slow it down, but neither likes prolonging dysfunction. The medic in her doesn’t like leaving injuries longer than absolutely necessary.

Strength - while its voluntary to use, she has access to superhuman strength. Sometimes she forgets she shouldn’t have that.

Perfect health - she doesn’t get sick. Ever. No sick leave in many years. She can survive adverse conditions far longer than a human could.

Name: Kateřina Černá (Catherine Black)
Voice actor: Michelle Pfeiffer
Callsign: Kat
Nationality: German, Czech parents
Rank: Oberst (NATO: Group Captain)
Home posting: German Air Force
Role: Commanding Officer
Age: 38
Gender: Female

Appearance:
Catherine stands 187 centimeters tall. While by no means physically weak, her frame seems rather skinny due to her height and prefered clothing. Her raven hair reaches a few centimeters below her shoulders, usually kept in a ponytail or bun off and on duty respectively. Her brown eyes are always ticking from place to place checking out her surroundings, only staying still when she gives someone her trademark soul crushing glare. She is not a fan of distinguishing herself from the rest of the crew and welcomed the uniform jumpsuits worn on Earth ships, most of the time wearing one of those. Whipped up by the years spent in military, she always carries herself high, at time looking like her backbone solidified into a single peice. A car crash left her with a few dents, namely small scars around her right eye and the right corner of her mouth is permanently in a small smirk, although it is unnoticeable unless you're looking for it.

Biography:
As young, Kat didn't really imagine her life as a military officer, choosing to study mechanical engineering. With her personal passion being flying though, she was looking for ways to fly more interesting things than a Cessna 152, and the army was the easy way out, thus she found herself in the Air Force. To her displeasure though, she shown good potential for command and ascended through the ranks, perhaps too quickly for her own liking. Already a Group Captain, she had a car accident. While she recovered rather quickly, her vision was slightly impaired and thus rendered her unfit for a fighter pilot. Unhappy with the desk job, she tried for months to be reassigned to helicopters, but with her good record of leading the group, high command didn't want to hear about it. Instead signing up into an officer exchange program, she found herself with americans on one of their crusades against terrorism. Noted for using unconventional approach in her command and regarded highly by her subordinates, she was selected to be included in the Stargate program. After a year long training, she was given command of the Langford.

Personality:
She can at times seem like she has two personalities. Kat Black is a rather friendly woman happy to engage in idle chat. Not entirely free of her military lifestyle, she likes to spend her free time either in the gym or flying anything. When none of that is possible, she likes to sit down with a plate full of treats, a mug of steaming hot coffee and a good book.
Captain Black on the other hand is a silent, glare giving commander who expects her crew to perform. In return she gives them relative freedom and protects them from higher ranks. Fail miserably though, and she will yell you back to civilian life. She appreciates honest opinions if they're based on solid grounds and listens to crew feedback.
Captain does not approve of officer perks in any form, most of the time eating the same food as the lowest ranked grunt and working the same hours, if not more. If there is a need, she will replace anyone on their post if they are incapacitated lest she is more needed elsewhere. While she doesn't force her officers to do the same, she does insist on them being fit and qualified to do their duty. You will find neither an overweight officer in her staff nor anyone who got the post because of connections in higher places. She would sooner resign on her post.
Black is very strict in regards to alcohol, only allowing it on special occasions, believing a soldier has to be ready to spring into action at any time, much more so on a space ship.

Trivia:
- Kat speaks German, Czech and English
- She hates healthy food, preferring meat and sugar in her diet
- The captain enjoys card games greatly
- Easily annoyed by high pitch noises
- She's bi, leaning towards women
- Black likes all exotic and unique things, starting with cars ending with jobs. Commanding a spaceship is a dream come true for her.

Name: Milo Cash

Callsign/Nickname: Johnny, Phoenix, Hawkeye (see who catches that joke)

Age: 32

Rank/Title(Dependant on position): – 1st lieutenant

Appearance:

Role: Pilot

Nationality: American

Biography: – Milo dreamt of the stars, dreamt of flying, dreamt of everything except staying on the ground, the ground represented normal, boring, worthlessness to him. He was always active working hard to get into the military to do his original dream of flying. That dream was more than fulfilled when he was opted into the test flying, between the variety of the flight-testing of jets and helicopters his experiences out matched most, including many experiences of crashing that should have killed him but did very little permanent damage.

After his many fiery crashes, pullouts, and landings he earned the name of Phoenix (You know that legendary burning bird). Eventually in his testing alien ships were brought to him, including the Wraith Dart, Goa’uld Tel'tak, and eventually a Puddle Jumper/ Gateship. After actually being able to start up the Puddle Jumper (showing he had the ATA Gene), and flying these ships oddly well he was pulled into the SG program. Once on the team he was sent to Atlantis, which was then brought back to Earth a few years after his drafting.

Since then he was on standby for more missions as needed, stuck on Earth again. Now he has been assigned to space once again, “Space: The Final Frontier”

(It is a little short I couldn’t think of what else to put, if I have to put more for acceptance let me know.)

Personality: Loyal, Caring, can be quiet and brash, at times may seem my care even though he's listening

Trivia: -
-two of his callsigns are bad jokes, one based off name the other appearance

-loves flying

-not exactly the best order follower

I have a couple of notes.
-More information on his test-pilot years working up to the point of being enlisted for Stargate work.
-Remove the Troopship part as those things would never be able to be taken by Force.
-How long did he spend on Atlantis(Do you know what season?)

I will recommend that you also make another char. Medical/Science/Military for something to do when not flying as you won't be flying all the time though I will often try and make sure there is something for you to do.

For your rank.

I'm going to say this now and forever, I need to remember Stargate is Air Force. It doesn't seem like it should be but it is, I need to drill that in my head. Also I mis-identified troopship [meant to be tel'tak] (fuck me at late night research and double checks I fuck me up all the time).

And for the Atlantis part, I will figure that out.

Sorry bout messing up I haven't seen the show in forever and really should have done better check research, I'll fix all that right away. (Well years on Atlantis maybe not, I'll figure that out.)

Well either way flying a F-302 would still be airforce, if you want to be a marine/standard soldier you can from another branch. As I said though I still recommend you have another character ready as a pilot will have things to do in at least most of the episodes planned so far... there are going to be other planets where you won't be needed.

Name: Deyika Aeson

Callsign/Nickname: Dey by her older brother

Age: 23

Rank/Title(Dependant on position): Lieutenant

Appearance:

Role: Technology support/maintenance, and pilot.

Nationality: Krylurian

Biography:

Kryluria, the planet in which Deyika and Tonak come from consists of two major nations. Each of these continents reached a level of technology equal to that of 1930s Earth, and like on Earth a war was brewing between each of the four nations. The activation of the Stargate in 2004 helped to arise old philosophical debates, the first continent largely followed the idea that their gods the Ancestors hid them from a great evil and deserved to rule over as the one true belief. The second felt that their singular god, Hades, had been the driving force in that same event but out of jealousy, the Ancestors casted him from rightful place as the sole true ruler over them all. Naturally, the conflict in religion had caused clashes among the two nations that pulled them apart in endless war.

The war had become more of a cold war in 2004 when the Stargate was activated. Of course the nation which worshiped Hades was told of the Goa’uld and they turned to have a sour relationship towards the Tauri while those who worshiped the Ancestors reveled in the opportunity to meet the direct descendents of the Ancestors. Tonak and Deyika are from the nation that worshiped Hades and as such became naturally sour towards the Tauri. However the Tauri managed to settle disputes between the two nations, to some degree. As such the Stargate was placed on Neutral ground so that its discovery could be a benefit to both people. Due to noticing their possible destructive influence the people of the Tauri announced they would not return to the planet, which only created contempt from the nation that worshiped the Ancestors believing they had been tricked into revealing what little information they had on Ancient ruins.

Since the Tauri’s departure and their patchwork peace negotiations, the two nations’ tensions had been building yet again over the collective years. Both twins were born to deep worshipers of Hades and likewise, expected their children to follow the same path. Their tactics in ensuring were rather aggressive, often leaving bruises and marks to punctuate their points. It wasn’t a surprise both Tonak and Deyika grew to hate their parents. When their thirteenth birthday rolled around, Tonak was already fully capable of using his knife and was that day their parents had went too far. Deyika had forgotten the prayer words during dinner and in moments her father slammed her arm across the table’s edge causing the bone to crack. Their parents never made it to the next morning alive, Tonak made sure of that.

Once the bodies had been buried, leaving nothing but a memory, the pair ended up looking after each other. Each one had played to their own talents and managed to survive in their own little ways, supported by their loyalty and family bond. Deyika had learned the ins and outs of various technology which added to the coin her brother’s own ventures had purloined as a street smart pick pocket. Though they had little, their combined efforts ensured neither of them went to sleep completely hungry.

It was Deyika’s talent at fixing machines that ended up setting them on another path from eternal poverty and slow starvation. A military recruiter visited their crumbling hut to draft one of them into the Hades defense unit, but Tonak was determined not let his sister go alone. An offer was made: she doesn’t go anywhere without him. The man just scoffed at the teen’s stubborn and cocky attitude, even as his twin agreed, then tried to reason he had no skills of any worth. Tonak merely held fast to his words when the man finally turned to leave, his figure all the way to his jeep when it dawn upon him something was missing. His key jingled within Tonak’s fingers with a slight cocky grin. “No skills huh?”

The recruiter had to admit defeat in his earlier statement and gently took the pair into the jeep where each developed their skills. Tonak’s talent for stealth, ability to learn quickly and being a cold blooded killer were honed with training. It turned out he had an aptitude for gathering intelligence and blending well into enemy territory. Deyika’s skills took a far right turned on the other hand. Her skills laid in technology sabotage and engineering, including hacking and mechanics. Unlike her brother, she only could learn the basics of how to handle knife but nothing close to Tonak’s skill level, despite some of his efforts to teach her.

Everything seemed to have been going well until war broke out and Tonak discovered a ploy to send his twin into live combat, an operation to sabotage a truck full of explosive bombs. It was a suicide mission from his point of view and all the more reason to leave. For once, Deyika had voiced her own concerns against her brother’s plan. Unlike him, she didn’t want to lose their home and those they cared about. It wasn’t until Tonak suggested to use the Stargate and ask the Tauri for aid in stopping this war’s break out, did Deyika agree and follow him through.

The only reason Tonak even mentioned getting help was he knew it was the only way he would get Deyika to leave the planet if there was any chance of getting help. For as far as he was concerned they could fight until they had all killed each other she was his one and only concern. Upon arriving at the Tauri they began talks with one of the local diplomats after being debriefed by the General of the facility. He assured them that he would look into the prospect of helping them out and in the meantime they would be granted asylum. It looked as if their problems would be solved.

However higher up in the Pentagon it was decided that they would not risk human lives on this conflict that had nothing to do with them, especially when there was little to no gain. Feeling sour, and after Deyika had to stop Tonak from killing someone the pair left out into the Galaxy to try and find someone who would help them. It felt like ages before they found someone, each village, planet and more they came to seemed to be one dead end after another for the pair. Finally they met..him. A man, a small time warlord under the Lucian Alliance’s flag, who listened to their story and request. His words seemed to utter hope and reason that her brother seemed slightly impressed by them. Little did she know until Tokan said it that he also saw the slight bull shit within them. Deyika thought he went insane and in moments they were going to be killed, at least until she heard the warlord laughing at Tokan’s guts. She softened to see a less fake smile upon her brother’s lips.

After Kane offered his aid, they took it and showed him where to find Kryluria. That’s when subjugation started, Kane threatening the Krylurians with his own small fleet of Al'kesh and Gliders. It was over before it had started leaving both sides underneath the warlord’s power. At first when she saw the treatment of those under Kane’s rule, Deyika had mixed feelings upon what they did.Wasn’t until her brother explained it was for the best, to stop the fighting from happening and find common ground in suffering. Deyika accepted it was the only possible way because her brother made sense. Unable to stay there, Tonak approached Kane in terms for a ship, but instead came away with employment much to his twin’s surprise. For the next several years they worked towards Kane’s goals to expand his power and grow his empire, During that time, their skills grew until they became important assets and one of the few he trusted to get a job done. Over time their toys and tools ended up growing into a wide array that often made their task easier. And for their current mission, both Tonak and Deyika had a feeling they would need all the aid they could manage to complete it.

Personality: will show IC…

Trivia:

-Out of the pair, Deyika’s the more techno skill set including but not limited to: Piloting, maintenance and repair of the ship as well as Tonak’s own toys. She knows the ins and out of her own ship, from the software to physical blue prints.

-Though Tonak is her twin, they have different last names for Dey’s own protection when she heads off ship for supplies and keep her brother’s enemies from drawing the connection.

Personality:
While she’s not too good at social interaction, it is not because Ingrid does not try. She’s just never had much chance to learn about interacting closely with others similar to her, especially since she did not have others like her while growing up. If someone manages to break through the shell she keeps around herself, she can be quite easy to get along with, but if they can’t break through it, they will see her as quite aloof.

To those she ends up calling friends, she is quite fond of harmless pranks and jokes, but never those that put anyone or the ship at risk.
Notable flaws:
She has never held a gun, let alone fired one. She has read some of the theory about it, but theory isn’t all that good in the field. Similarly, she’s pretty uneasy about being near human corpses. Animal carcasses she only has a mild dislike of, but she prefers working with living creatures and people.
Socially unskilled. She may say things that are… unwise... at times. Foot-in-mouth-disorder.

Name: Ay'mara of Bubastis
Age: 76 (Perhaps 22 by human standards)
Appearance:

By human measurements 5'6" about 120 pounds. She is small and skinny but uses this to her advantage often finding ways to squeeze into places that no one would think she could fit.

Personality: Ay'mara keeps pain that she feels, both emotional and physical, on the inside just like her father taught her. She has a great capacity for kindness and compassion but just like her pain keeps it on the inside where no one can see it. She is rather blunt when she speak of people especially there mistakes. She will not hesitate to offer advice on what she sees as a wrongful act even to a superior.

Biography: Ay'mara's mother Zim'ina had many years before her daughters birth held the position of weapons specialist in Bastet's palace. When Bastet and Kali went to war with Nirrti Zim'ina was on the front lines. She controlled the Ha'tak that devastated several of Nirrti's labs. This was her downfall. She was among the Jaffa that investigated these ruined facilities for salvageable equipment and personal. On one of these endeavors she was exposed to a deadly muttigene that Nirrti had deemed too strong, advancing her subjects to the point of death before she could get credible data.

The muttigene infected the six Jaffa who had investigated the planet, while it were not contagious it was deadly. There symbiotes had some success in combating the virus but could ultimately merely cease its progress. This constant strain on the symbiote cause it to slowly decline over the course of a decade. It was not until much later that Zim'ina and her guards knew that they were dying.

After this Zim'ina married a palace servant and they had a beautiful baby boy then three years later the gods blessed them with a girl. They named her Ay'mara meaning "Light of Angels" for her fair skin and light hair and blue eyes that shown in the darkness. Ay'mara took greatly after her mother, inheriting her light skin and hair.

When Ay'mara was four years old Zim'ina fell gravely ill. She sought the council of Bastet who after examining her spun her a story. Bastet told her that many years ago during the war with Nirrti the vengeful goddess had in a fit of rage stolen a great part of Zim'ina's life force. Bastet at this time had bargained with Sokar for Zim'ina's life. "I gave you seven years and two beautiful children. Your blessings have been many and now you must burden that cost Zim'ina. Sokar may take you upon the rising of the sun or he may leave you be for years to come. Spend what little time you have with your family."

Zim'ina had not the strength to uphold her position in Bastet's court and so she took her family to the countryside of Bubastis to live out her few days in peace. Val'nar, Ay'mara's father was forced to work in the fields of one of the outer villages of Bastet's homeworld. Val'nar considered himself a learned man and an expert on Jaffa medical practices. On any other Goa'uld world may have been respected as a scholar and physician but on Bubastis the best he could ever have hoped for was palace servant. This had always been a sore point for him. Now because of his wife he did not even have the respect that working in the palace had granted him. He was a common field worker.

This led Val'nar to drink. He was normally a discontented man and he would often turn violent when at the tavern too late. Despite everything that had happened Val'nar loved his wife. Her sufferings were one of the reasons that he drank. In his drunken rages he would blame little Ay'mara. He would shout and scream and beat her. Usually with his fists though she bears scars on her back from a whip and on one particularly unpleasant night Val'nar used a Prim'ta knife to create several deep slices in her right hand. Val'nar's knowledge of Jaffa medicine, something he was truly skilled at allowed him to patch her up once he had calmed so that no one would know. He also made it very clear what would happen to Ay'mara if she ever told anyone. After this she began to wear white ceremonial gloves to cover up the scars on her right hand.

Over the next three years Zim'ina's health declined steadily. With Val'nar working the fields all day it would often be left to Ay'mara and her older brother Thanis to look after Zim'ina. When Ay'mara was seven years old Zim'ina's symbiote died and over the course of three days Zim'ina herself followed in pain and agony. Val'nar buried her next to there cottage. After Zim'ina died Val'nar would stay later at the tavern and come home with more drink in him. He would scream and she would hide. This only made him angrier when he actually found her. Thanis often acted as Ay'mara's protector. Though on Bubastis a boy protecting a girl was uncommon and looked down on Thanis considered it his duty to make sure that no harm came to her.

When Ay'mara was nine years old almost two years after Thanis received his first symbiote Val'nar returned home very drunk. Thanis tried to talk him down and when that failed he took several of the punches meant for Ay'mara. When Val'nar had fallen asleep Thanis wrapped Ay'mara in blankets and hummed softly to her till she fell into the world of dreams. The next day when Val'nar was working the fields Thanis cam to Ay'mara, he gave her a hug and said. "Ay'mara, you aren't safe here, Father is becoming more violent. I fear you will not make it to the Age of Prata." Ay'mara looked at him confused and he realized that he wasn't making his point clear. "Ay'mara, when mother died she made me promise that no matter what I would always protect you. That is what I'm doing now."

Thanis fetched from his room a bag that had a day's worth of food, a doll Zim'ina had made for Ay'mara, a change of clothing and a blanket. "Ay'mara, you need to run from here, I'm going to take you to the shipping yard. From there you can get to Great City, where Mother came from." Thanis walked Ay'mara from there home. She did not understand a lot of what he had said but she knew that he was going to make the pain stop, and that she would likely never see him again.

Thanis explained to her something that Val'nar had told him. When it was time for the tribute from the fields to be collected Bastet's might hand would stretch down out of the sky and scoop it up. Thanis hid her among the crates of food and some from the mines over the high hills. He told her to pray that Bastet have mercy on her and take her to the Great City. Once there he told her to run for the streets, blend in with the people. He knew how much she loved to climb and to run. He told her to blend in or she may be returned to Val'nar's care. Thanis placed her amidst the crates then gave her a big hug. "Goodbye Angel." he whispered then he ran back over the hills and returned home. Angel was something Zim'ina had called Ay'mara.

Ay'mara curled herself into a ball on of the small crates and waited, praying to Bastet that she be taken like her brother had said. After a time she heard a ringing in her ears. She opened her eyes in time to see her surroundings change in a brilliant flash of light from that she had known all her life to an open room with great stone walls. Where it had been early morning were she was now the sun was high in the sky warming her skin.

Perhaps a simple shipment of food did not warrant a guard or else no one would dare steal from the great Bastet for fear of being struck down but no one stood at the open entrance to this room. Ay'mara looked around outside and when no one was there she darted into the streets. It must have been market day for several stalls were set up along the main streets with a variety of people.

The city was beautiful and grand and Ay'mara understood why Zim'ina had loved it here. For several hours Ay'mara wandered the streets until she began to grow tired. She felt lost and alone but she remembered that her brother had said she would be safe. Ay'mara found a quiet, dry looking place and curled up in the blanket Thanis had packed for her. She fell asleep, alone in that alley.

Ay'mara spend the next six months living in the city. She found an abandoned building where no one seemed to go that she slept in and several vendors who did not watch there wares. Each time she stole she prayed that the Goddess would understand. After six months Ay'mara started to feel cold and her lungs did not seem to hold enough air. Her blanket did not help, neither did going out into the city. The hot sun above did not seem to have any effect. While she was attempting to pocket an apple a shooting pain went through her abdomen and Ay'mara fell to the ground. The vendor gave a cry of "Thief!" but Ay'mara barely heard her. She was having trouble breathing and soon blackness invaded her vision.

When she woke there were voices surrounding her. She was lying on a hard mattress somewhere dark. A light danced along the wall as someone moved a torch into the room. Someone pressed a water skin to Ay'mara's lips and she gulped in the cool liquid greedily, the water running over her cracked lips.

"Can you speak girl?" A strong voice said from somewhere above her. Ay'mara's eyes fluttered and finally opened. A man knelt in front of her holding the waterskin. He did not speak.

"Y-yes." Ay'mara managed.

"Do you have a name?" the voice asked.

"Ay-Ay'mara."

"That is a beautiful name, Ay'mara how old are you?"

"N-nearly t-ten." Ay'mara gasped.

Ay'mara managed to look up and gave a squeak before pulling back into the shadows of the cell. The figure that stood before Ay'mara was obviously a woman but she held no face instead a black surface ran over her skull with a great Sekhmet carved into black and bronze.

"My apologies little one, I did not mean to frighten you." The Bast Guard said her voice echoing from within the helmet. With a loud sound of clanking metal the Sekhmet head dissembled itself and vanished into the woman's armour. The woman that stood before Ay'mara was tall and strong with striking features and dark black hair. Her forehead bore the symbol of Bastet marked in gold, this was Bastet's first prime.

"My name is Syn'ac, I am here on Bastet's behalf. If I understand then you are without Prim'ta. Without the infant god's strength to guide you you will soon die." Syn'ac said. She stepped forward and gathered the weak Ay'mara in her arms. "Bastet does not wish you to leave this world so young." Syn'ac carried Ay'mara out of the cells and as she walked Ay'mara slipped into a deep sleep lying in Syn'ac's arms.

When Ay'mara awoke she found herself feeling stronger, her limbs had less weight to them. She opened her eyes. Ay'mara was lying in a soft bed too large for her. She looked at her stomached which was exposed. There was an X marked cut into her skin, she had received the honour of her first Prim'ta. "You are awake. I feared that the Prim'ta implantation had come too late, that you would die of a common childhood illness." Ay'mara looked up, it was Syn'ac, Bastet's first prime who was speaking. "Is this your home?" Ay'mara asked.

"It is indeed, and it shall be yours as well." Ay'mara cocked her head to the side and looked at Syn'ac. Why would she open her home to a street child and thief. "I have always wished for children but sadly I am unable to conceive. It is the will of the Goddess that you remain in my care. Bastet is kind, a patron to women and children but she is not foolish. She is granting you a second chance, use it wisely for you will not be given another."

Over the next four years Syn'ac taught Ay'mara many disciplines, several forms of hand-to-hand combat including anything from unarmed martial arts to the use of a Ma'tok Staff as a melee weapon. When Ay'mara turned fourteen she enlisted in Bastet's army and became a Bast Guard. Her training with Syn'ac gave her an advantage and she soon found herself rising through the ranks. Though many attributed this to Ay'mara being Syn'ac's daughter it was not an easy journey. Syn'ac was a good teacher but she did not pull her punches and was not afraid of injuring Ay'mara to teach her what she needed to know.

Ay'mara was after thirty years of service granted the honor of being Syn'ac right hand. Meaning if Syn'ac were to fall in battle or to old age Ay'mara would be first prime to Bastet. For this position Ay'mara was given a silver sigil of Bastet's symbol. Ay'mara served Bastet faithfully for unlike the other Goa'uld Bastet did not crave power merely for the control it granted her. That is not to say that Bastet was good. She carried all the traits of her brothers and sisters, she was vindictive and cruel, but she was never cowardly and when the time came she could be kind and compassionate. Ay'mara knew Bastet as a benevolent ruler and served her faithfully because of it.

When Bastet died at the hands of Ba'al, as with all Goa'uld wars, the defeated God's Jaffa were absorbed into the Victor's Army. Ay'mara along with a good portion of her guard were taken prisoner. Knowing that refusal would end in death Ay'mara accepted Ba'al's offer to join his forces. Syn'ac was not so lucky. It is the final duty of a First Prime to avenge the death of her fallen Lord, or Lady as the case may be. This meant that an enemy First Prime was too dangerous to keep in one's army. Ba'al executed Syn'ac personally before his entire court.

Bastet was among one of the only Goa'uld in the Galaxy that used female Jaffa in her guard. When she was taken into Ba'al's service Ay'mara was delegated to a lowly role as a servant to one of Ba'al's lieutenants on an off world base. It was a demeaning job that forced Ay'mara for the first time into the Kitchen. She'd not had practice in the kitchen since she'd been seven years old, preparing her sick mother's food. Over the course of a year Ay'mara began to understand the discontented rage that her father had harbored for his job working in the palace.

Many of the other Jaffa women considered her a fool because she had trouble with the most basic tasks that she was expected to perform. While the men considered themselves unfortunate when it was her turn to make there meals. After twelve months Ay'mara had had enough. She stole into the kitchen late at night. With a pack she'd taken and got herself a days worth of food. Then she retrieved the Zat'nik'tel that she'd stolen months prior as well as a bed roll from an empty officer's quarters.

She knew how to operate the Portal of the Gods and decided that if it was Ba'al's wish that she be struck down during her escape so be it. She had served her Goddess faithfully and had earned a place in the afterlife. Whether she survived or not she was leaving tonight. Gone were the days when the Goa'uld left the Chaapa'ai unguarded but Ay'mara had been watching the schedule for the last year and felt certain she could access the Chaapa'ai when it was at its most vulnerable. Thankfully this planet was not important enough to warrant one of Ba'al's new soldiers, the Orac (Kull Warriors).

Ay'mara made her way through the forest following the path to the Chaapa'ai, her escape would not be quiet but if she was lucky it would be successful. When she reached the clearing where the Chaapa'ai sat she waited in the shadows. Jaffa guards were observant and vigilant. Only the truly incompetent ones became disinterested in there post and fell asleep. Therefore her best chance would be just after the shift change. When the old guards where just out of earshot and the new ones had yet to equant themselves with there surrounding.

Ay'mara waited for in Earth measurements two hours. Then she heard footfall coming up the path. She smiled, the Jaffa on guard had heard it too. When there backs where to her she slipped up behind the Chaapa'ai. It was the best piece of cover she could hope for and it was only eight steps to the Dialing Device. No one noticed her. The new and old guard detail exchanged a few words, before the old left and the new took up positions. There were five in all. All equipped with Ma'tok Staff Weapons and Zat'nik'tels at there belts. Ay'mara waited slowly for the footfall of the previous guard detail to fade away before she made her move.

Ay'mara drew her weapon and dove out from behind the Chaapa'ai. She had been the fastest shot in her training group and managed to get off three shots before they realized what had happened. One of the shots missed but the other two struck there mark dead on. By the time the Jaffa guard had gained cover Ay'mara was secured behind the Chaapa'ai's Dialing Device. She let out three shots none of which hit anything important. The Jaffa fired back, one of the shots hitting the side of the Dialing Device. Shards of the material that made up the outer casing exploded but it appeared that the Device itself was still operational.

Ay'mara knew that she had to act fast before the Dialing Device was rendered non-functional. She let off another three shots which forced the Jaffa to duck down. Then Ay'mara stood next to the Device and started to Dial. There were only two Addresses that Ay'mara felt certain she could replicate. One was that of the Asgard protected world Cimmeria. She knew this address because it was pounded into the head of every Goa'uld and Jaffa as a hell world that should never be traversed. That was not an option. The other was that of her home, Bubastis. She did not have time to consider that it may be an occupied world, she just dialled. A staff blast caught her in the shoulder and she ducked down again slamming her uninjured arm into the red orb in the centre of the Dialing Device. With the sound of a great wave crashing onto distant shores the vortex expanded from the Chaapa'ai and solidified into a pool of shining water.

Ay'mara let off several more shots at the Jaffa. She caught one of them as she was running and another Staff Blast hit in her in the small of the back. She fell forward and rolled into the Vortex of the Chaapa'ai and freedom.

Ay'mara lay on her back. While on the previous world it had been the dead of night here the sun was just starting to illuminate the sky. Ay'mara's breathing was heavy but her wounds would heal. They were grievous yes but with some good food and several days of rest she would recover. Ay'mara opened her eyes and looked at her former home. In the years before the Tau'ri's involvement in Goa'uld affairs Ba'al may have taken this planet as a prize after destroying Bastet but those days were past. Bubastis was deep inside Bastet's territory or formerly Bastet's territory. The planet itself however held little value. It had a few naquadah mines which had started to dry up. And of course the palace but the planet itself was mostly water and held little strategic or military value which the Goa'uld now prized more than flaunting there wealth.

Ba'al had used his Orac (Kull Warriors) to assault Bastet's world from the Chaapa'ai. He'd lain waste to her homeworld, taken her armies and killed her and her First Prime but after Bastet's death Ba'al had no use for a world like Bubastis. He'd abandoned it and Ay'mara could see now how badly he'd left it. She'd heard rumors of the sorry state it was left in but she had never imagined. Even as the sun rose over it the City still seemed dark. The walls were crumbling, the streets were cracked and many of the buildings had collapsed. The worst travesty was that the Palace appeared to have been shot from space. It was a complete ruin with only rubble left. Ay'mara managed to heave herself into one of the few remaining buildings and onto a dirtied and neglected cot in the corner. There she fell into a sleep that was full of nightmares about the siege of Bubastis.

Ay'mara healed over the next two weeks and when the wounds from the Staff Weapons were completely gone Ay'mara began to look through the ruin of her former home. It was painful at first but eventually she got up the courage to look through the rubble of the Palace where she had lived. After several hours she started to find bodies. People killed by the Orac (Kull Warriors) or who refused to follow Ba'al. Ay'mara could have ended up just like this. Ay'mara liberated ten from the rubble and there were many many more. A person could spend a lifetime going through the ruin and never find them all. Ay'mara decided that she would bury these ten. She gave them there burial rights as best she knew how. The last of them was a Bast Guard. Her face had degraded over the last year but Ay'mara recognized a ring she wore. This girl was a year younger than her, she had gone by the name of Ish'tar. Ay'mara had broken her bones during training a number of times while they were just starting out. Ay'mara placed the ring on a string and hung it around her neck as a promise to never forget. Then she took Ish'tar's Hand Claws. It had been a long time since Ay'mara had worn them but she still remembered how to fight.

Ay'mara buried the bodies then with a book of Chaapa'ai Addresses that she had located in small section of the palace still standing, Ay'mara began to travel. Knowing that she would receive the same treatment in the Courts of other Goa'uld as she had gotten from Ba'al Ay'mara decided to wander. She spent the next several years traversing the cosmos where she heard stories of the exploits of the Tau'ri and the Free Jaffa. After a number of years Ay'mara grew tired of her aimless existence. Over time Ay'mara had had many encounters with a coalition that called themselves the Lucian Alliance. In many ways they were worse than the Goa'uld whose technology they had appropriated. After seeing the enslavement they commanded over much of the galaxy Ay'mara decided that she needed to take part in the fight against them. So she sought out the Hak'tyl Resistance.

In days of old the Hak'tyl may have been impossible to find but that was no more. There address was readily available now that the Goa'uld had been mostly vanquished. Years of open exposure to the Galaxy, to the wonders it held, to the cruelties within it and to many common truths had shown Ay'mara the Goa'uld's true nature. She saw technology with powers greater than the Goa'uld had ever commanded and worlds more beautiful for the lack of Goa'uld influence. Though her impression of Bastet did not change Ay'mara accepted that they were not gods.

Though Ay'mara proved herself a useful warrior and strategist many times to the Free Jaffa and the Hak'tyl Resistance they were hesitant to place her in charge of anything critical because she joined the cause after most Goa'uld had fallen. When the opportunity to board the Tau'ri ship Langford arrived Ay'mara was liberating a Jaffa planet from Lucian Alliance occupancy. It was of little importance to the Alliance so the fleet defending the planet was small and easily taken out by the superior forces of the Jaffa.

Though loyal to the Hak'tyl Resistance Ay'mara found that it was generally not returned. She was kept in supporting roles far below her level of competency. Most of the resistance did not like Ay'mara's notion that the Goa'uld were not born evil but like all living things had a choice or the fact that she had joined after the Jaffa revolution had ended. Ay'mara was eager to apply for this mission to a Tau'ri craft were she felt she may be given tasks that made a difference in the war with the Lucian Alliance. It surprised Ay'mara the lack of Jaffa interest in this project, for though the Tau'ri's mistakes had cost the Jaffa much it had gained for them even more.

Trivia:
She has a number of scars on both her hands which she uses white fingerless gloves to cover up.
She still harbours a symbiote being unwilling to transition to Tretonin.
With her she brought the signature of the Bast Guards, Hand Claws. though whether the Tau'ri let her use them is another matter.
When she became a servant of Ba'al he altered the silver mark on her forehead to his.
