Noticing Shana's awkward departure, Tanaka gave the fellow introvert a small wave of farewell before continuing on to his own classroom. Though it was doubtful she saw it, considering she now had her hair covering her eyes. Ah, oh well. His next class wasn't too far away. In fact, it was only a couple of doors down. A couple doors right next to the Student Council room. Wasn't fate just great?

Passing by, he saw Maverick walk past with a look of gratification on his face. Tanaka was about to call out and ask about this most perplexing behavior before figuring it probably had something to do with Daichi. Sighing, Tanaka continued onward to third period. Honestly, it was like those two had some kind of rivalry or something. . .what is it about other people and their reactions?

Though to be fair, Tanaka didn't blame Maverick for his actions against the other boy. Daichi did, after all, do everything in his power to annoy the general populace of the school. If that was even the case. Tanaka could have guessed the whole scenario wrong, with Maverick thinking about something else entirely. Ah, oh well.

Entering into third period, Tanaka took his seat and began another long time frame of taking boring notes and watching the clouds pass by. That, and finding new techniques to discover how other people could be so extroverted.

"Maybe I should start with Daichi? He's not really that hard to figure out, though I kinda think he likes being the bad boy. To get attention or something. . .or he could just be an ass. Where should I cut first though? The skull or the abdomen? Hmm. . . ."

(Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Real life interceded 'n stuff.)

Haru was bouncing on something. He smiled faintly and, as he opened his eyes, was treated to the extraordinarily vertigo-inducing sight of the floor bouncing along above him. A couple seconds later, he felt the wonderful feeling of someone's shoulder blade digging into his sternum. This could be significantly more confortable...also KAMI-SAMA why does my nose hurt so much? It was quite obvious to him that he was being carried somewhere, quite possibly against his will, and the person under him was carrying him like a sack of potatoes. His muscles tensed unconsciously as he prepared to twist out of the person's grasp, when suddenly...they stopped. Turning his head around as far as he could, he saw the words ...ken-shitsu. He was unable to read the rest of it, as the person's torso obscured it. Letting out a weak groan, he dropped his head again as the world spun around him from the movement. ...I feel dizzy...I think I'll just...take a.....little..........nap............"

Let the snoring begin.
________

The boredom was crippling.

Sakaki sat in her class, not even bothering to look down at her books. She could hardly believe it was a third-year class; everything was extremely basic. People just could not understand this kind of stuff. [i]Ugh, you people. No wonder the future of Japan is in the drain, if people actually consider this Lit. class difficult.
She sighed and simply buried her head in her arm, which lay on the desk, resting in the crook of her elbow. There was a sudden crack sound, and just a split second later, the feeling of a very hard piece of wood colliding with her head at high speeds.

(In case anyone's wondering, the words Haru saw were Hoken-Shitsu, which means Nurse's Office.)

Hotaru proceeded to the infirmary while carrying Haru with no problem at all. Her breathing was even normal while holding the boy behind her. Suddenly she felt him move slightly and mumble. "Oh, are you awake?" Hotaru asked, only to receive no response. "I guess not," she giggled a bit while entering the nurse's office. A fairly young woman sat on a chair and turned to see the two enter. She asked what was wrong and helped place Haru on one of the beds. "Ah, he sorta passed out..." Hotaru explained vaguely, not wanting to embarrass Haru by mentioning that he ran into a door.

"Well, I'm glad that you brought him here. Why don't you help me out a bit and place this compress on him?" The nurse kindly asked and Hotaru nodded. Afterwards, the infirmary became a bit quiet and the nurse started up a conversation. "My, what a sweet thing to do for your boyfriend!" She teased. Hotaru was startled and shook her hand in front of her face.

"Oh no, we're just friends," she laughed nervously.

"Well, it's nice to have friends as dedicated as to carrying them to the infirmary," The nurse giggled a bit and allowed Hotaru to skip the period while waiting for Haru to wake up.

Haru's eyes finally slipped open about half an hour later, fluttering for a minute or so before finally actually registering visual stimuli. He groaned and rolled over, and only when he rolled over an arm did he realize that someone was sitting next to him. Looking up, he saw Hotaru sitting above him. He swallowed. I just rolled onto her arm, didn't I? He winced. It hurt to think, and when he tried to speak, his voice came out as a muffled "Wh'ppend?" Making a frustrated noise, he concentrated on speaking and tried again, this time a bit more forcefully. "Whu' happned?" Good enough. I remember hitting something hard, but that's about it. Almost as an afterthought, he added "Srry for your arm."

Attempting to sit up, he watched as the room spun, spiraling around a point somewhere to his left. He groaned again, louder this time, then flopped down again. The nurse rushed over. "Please, you have to stay there. I think you have a concussion. Just...lie still for awhile, okay?" She placed a small plastic cup of water in his hand, and two painkillers in the other hand, then bustled off again, fetching a clipboard and writing feverishly.

Yumiko sighted and followed the girl. Only a few moments later the break was over. "Ahm I think we should go back to class, I dont think it would be that good to skip it." Yumiko said, forgetting that she skipped the in troduction speech, while she was walking behind the girl.

Maverick slept through his class. He had no interest in paying attention to a teacher talk uselessly on the first day he was still trying to adjust since normally, unless he had the early shift at his work, he would have just woken up due to his late hours at work. On top of everything else he was still tired from his late hours last night, he had tried to get out early but his boss just wouldn't let him go. The struggles of being a good employee amongst a bunch of morons.

"Well alright, I'll trust your superior judgment and ability to save me extra work this time," Naoki answered, ushering the visitors out before slamming the door closed and taking a seat at the desk. He popped open a drawer and slipped the form haphazardly inside. Unfortunately, before he could start reading some manga, the bell rang, signalling the start of class. The President sighed in defeat and headed to class, manga in tow. Class wasn't too entertaining, so Naoki decided to disregard it all and catch up on his important readings until school would end.

"Hn? Nah, it's fine," Komoe insisted as the duo continued walking past the bell ring, giving a wave of her hand as if to wave away all of the problems for Yumiko, "I'll just write you an excuse slip or something. Say you were helping me out with something, like getting to the top of the shelf." Finally, the duo stopped before the opened door of the Council office. Seemed that there was nobody inside. Komoe peeked a head into the room and looked around. Nope. Nobody. Just an opened window and an opened desk drawer with papers in it.

"Alrighty Ninomiya-chan! Seems we're in the clear~!" the red haired girl declared, slamming a hand into her palm before going behind the desk and popping open another drawer and setting some nonperishable foodstuffs. Mostly snacks and soda. "Feel free to dig in kiddo," she gestured, grabbing a drink for herself, "but don't take too long. I'm already late for the classes with First Years."

Hotaru glanced at the clock as time went by. Haru still seemed to be dizzy from the collision. "I know it's only the first day still, but I don't think that gives us an excuse to skip classes," she smiled and stood up.

"Oh, you're leaving already?" The nurse spun around in her chair and then looked over to Haru. "If you're feeling better, why don't you two go back together? It's only about an hour or so before the end of the day." She gave a caring smile and turned back to her desk to go over some paperwork. Hotaru sat back down for a moment and decided to wait until Haru was feeling better. She then concluded that he'd be here all day if she didn't take action.

"Alright, sleepyhead," Hotaru pulled him up by his arms and offered to be his support while walking. "Let's get going!" She proceeded to make her way towards the infirmary exit.

"Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to come back whenever," the nurse cheerfully waved.

Tanaka began scribbling furiously in his notebook as the school day continued onward. He had forgotten what he was currently listening to honesty, but did that really matter? In the end, it all came down to research and materials, as well as the will to carry through with such planning. Several of his peers actually came up to him to either ask for notes or politely inquire how he was able to function so effectively against the teacher's drone.

Of course, once they got a good long look of what exactly he was writing, all of them chuckled nervously before slowly backing away. Illustrations of several torture devices displayed in beatiful and deap detail. Or rather, as detailed as a pen and paper could be.

Tiny sayings and phrases accompanied each gruesome image, further boggling the minds of those who tried to read the thing. Of course, maybe that was for the best in this circumstance.

Batteries placed in stomach acid?

Extract student blood samples when they're sleeping?

Cut their hands off so they can't reproduce?

Wait, what? That last statement surely seemed like a fine line between uniqueness and insanity.

Daichi leaned back in his chair and listened to the teacher droning on about things he didn't care about. Why not do a class about beating others up. He would be the best! And It would give him an excuse to blood up maverick. He grined at the thought of it. But alas, is would probably never happen. Not that Daichi actually thought it would happen.

As the long and hard school day finally came to its everlasting closing, Tanaka couldn't help but breathe out a relieved sigh. Finally! Sure it was the first day back and all, but honestly it felt like weeks! As if frozen in time and forced to stay in limbo for some predetermined fate. Hmm...

Not really wanting to waste a day that seemed to stretch on for eternity, Tanaka began roaming the halls looking for his "friends", all the while trying to place on why exactly things weren't...well moving.

It wasn't like they were all part of some big story, right? In which the writers were either too busy or maybe even lazy to write the next scene, right? Surely nothing like that.

Shana made her way down the hallways after the long school day ended. Well, long was an understatement, but the words that fit how long a day it was were sadly not in her vocabulary.

Neatly folding her note littered papers and placing them in her bag, she continued to think over the whole social gathering arrangement.

Am I really going to do this?

Yes, yes you are. Now stop asking the same question over and over again.

Okay, it was official. A bit rude as well, but official all the same. Shana was going to join that clu-meeting of social endeavors for the sake of scientific enhancement. Not for "getting along with her fellow students" or to "make friends". It was strictly a formal, scientific matter.

As she walked down the halls, she then began to contemplate her current relationship with Tanaka. Were they friends? Colleagues? They were obviously more than acquaintances. Hmm, she'd just have to ask him.

.....How did I even get here.....?

Sakaki sat in the corner of the predetermined meeting room. Some time ago, that kid Haru had come up to her and, after dillying and dallying for a little while, had told her that he'd signed her up for a club. Much sighing had followed, and a very, very disappointed senior.

She had an advantage, though. She had the choice to come or not, she could choose what she wanted to do...

So why am I here?

She heard a clack as the door slid open, and disinterestedly turned to face it. Oh boy, something that isn't the exact same as everything else. Woo. Hoo.
