Halo RP Anyone?

For about the past week I decided to start reading some of the Halo books again I've mostly been reading The Fall of Reach at the moment. I did an RP based off the book a little over a year ago, the players will be Spartan 2's at the age of six going through their training and eventually leading to their augmentations. And then leading up to the Human-Covenant War, also if players want they can play as the Covenant as well. Or we can have the Spartans be older I have a plot but i'll reveal it once theres some interest.

Well, the idea of working upwards from the ground, as it were, with the Spartan 2's would be interesting, so consider me on board.

I'm down for playing as Covenant at some point in the future. I'll do a Spartan as well, if you want.

BTW, Draconis, Spartan-042 is actually taken by Halo Canon. Douglas-042.

Variable I know he is :P I've had an avid interest in the character for my own name :P It's a shame there's been no more story about him since Wars though.

Yay more interest, now the plot. The Spartans would be similar to that of Grey Team, if some have read the Cole Protocol their mission was to go behind enemy lines with little to no backup and disrupt enemy operations. However the Spartans that we will be playing will be doing almost the same thing however their missions would be gathering any Forerunner technology, they find a Shield World of another of the Halos not sure which they are also given better gear so you guys can choose whatever armor you want. Just not the second gen armor since none weren't made yet.

So we're allowed to use armor sets more advanced than MJOLNIR Mark II?

I've read almost all of the books. Haven't read Silentium or Primordium and one other, Mortal Dictata I think. So I'm down with this plotline, I love me some Forerunner tech.

Yes, but that's for later on further into the war and they would be prototypes.

What about Forerunner upgrades themselves? Obviously as prototypes and later in the war again due to research and reverse engineering. But still :P

I'd say no, since gen two armor wasn't made towards the very end or post war era. So the armor would just stick to Mark 5 and 6 variants, plus the crew would be behind enemy lines so they wont have access to tech very often.

Good point. Grey Team was often way out of the way and behind enemy lines. Fair enough. I just thought because we are finding them we might get to use the prototypes on missions to discover more :P

They would be given a Prowler and a few ONI techs and also the captain other then that the team is on their own lol. I'll work on the OOC now, did you all still want the characters starting out at age six and work on from there?

I'm inclined to agree with Draconis, wherever/whenever we start is fine by me. I'd personally think starting at age six, and working ahead from there would create some interesting bonds between the characters that only that kind of training could, but tis just my opinion.
