Elizabeth was slightly annoyed as Connor tried to intervene and finish it off. However she couldn't really blame him, she had no idea when they'd get to town, and her pill from yesterday should be wearing off.

Of course, the werewolf pushed away to get at the infinitely weaker human, but she grabbed its leg and whipped it back towards her, pulling it into a submission hold and biting it in such a way that she had it's wind pipe in her mouth. After a bit of struggling on the wolf's part, it eventually slipped into its death. Getting up with an annoyed sigh, Elizabeth looked to where the sun would come up. "So much to do...so little time to do it in..."

Connor wished he had the time to bury he werewolf. No doubt someone would come across it, and freak, but what else could he do? He hesitated, looking up at the sky. He went over to the body, and pulled it over behind a collection of trees and bushes. He would come back during the day and bury it then. If it was safe to do so, and if no one had found it.

He collected up all the bullet shells quickly, and headed back to the car. "That was entertaining. You did well. Lets get out of here now" He said, buckling in and waiting for Elizabeth to do so. When she had, he began to drive, conscious of the time. He may have sped a bit, but reached the town about thirty minutes before sun up.

He found an inn, exhausted, and rented a room. He checked it out, making sure it was sun proof, and unloaded their gear. "You sleep. I'm going to go see about burying that wolf" He said with a yawn, "I'll be back in a few hours, and will try and sleep a bit as well"

She wasn't sure if she believed him about doing well, considering he was had appeared annoyed a moment earlier. But she shrugged it off and obediently got into the car when he did. She was aware that the sun wouldn't wait for them to be safe before coming up.

When they arrived, however, she felt he took it a bit far with his protectiveness considering her had pills and he was obviously exhausted. He pulled her bottle of pills and shook it a bit to get his attention, "or perhaps you should sleep now, and I will go deal with the body. "

Connor sighed and shook his head, "You've done enough" he said, sighing, "I know you can go out in the sun, so stop shaking those damn pills at me. I also know its uncomfortable to do so. Sorry for being considerate, I won't try in the future" He said, annoyed at the fact that what he considered gentlemanly and gallant was making her mad at him.

he sighed, and turned away, starting to head out, because he knew he was in no mood to try and keep his temper in check, and he didn't want to say anything wrong to her. He headed out to the car, and started up. Elizabeth could do what she wanted. He started back to where he had hidden the werewolf, pulled the car over, and got out, going over.

The body wasn't there. Connor groaned in annoyance, and threw the shovel aside, sinking down to the ground. He dropped his head into his hands, and cursed and yelled and generally broke down a bit. He pressed his hands against his eyes and sighed, rising. And then realised he had locked his keys in the car. Cursing his luck, he grabbed the shovel and smashed the passenger window in, knowing he would have to get it fixed. He got rid of as much of the glass as he could, cutting his left palm open. Finally, he sat in the car and just stared at the window.

She wouldn't be sure how long it would take him to get back, especially since the time he said it would take probably ran out a while ago.

Whenever he got back, it was apparent that she had fussed about. His bed was made and the one corner was folded so that he could slip right in and go to sleep. Her things were nestled together in a safe and out of the way spot. There was a small, still slightly warm pizza on the nightstand next to his bed with a sticky note telling him to consume the nutrition before bed. It appeared to be a normal cheese pizza with store bought packages of pepperoni, sausage, pineapple, and extra marinara sauce. The cooler was half hidden, and if he had the energy or care to notice - the ice was changed. There was a wad of cash and some change on the counter too, next to a brand new laptop and a bottle of her pills.

Everything would be fine and safe and comforting.. Except maybe a few things...

Her bed was untouched, she was sleeping sitting in a chair looking towards the door and there was a tiny spot of light about two feet from her - sun let in through the curtains that seemed to have been moved/disturbed somehow. She of course, is unaware of it.

Connor made his way back to the inn, wrapping his bloody hand up in a bandage. Before he headed to the inn, he stopped to get his window repaired, and walked the way to the inn, thanking god that towns were small. He would go and pick the car up later.

The guy seemed to know what had happened, and said that he could have come out to get the car unlocked without smashing the window. To which Connor replied, "It's been a long, hard day and I let my frustration escape me" the guy nodded, and Connor started back.

When he reached the inn, he saw the sliver of sunlight creeping towards Elizabeth. He leaped towards her, to block the beam from her and walked towards the curtain that was disturbed. He kept the sun light on him, so it wouldn't burn Elizabeth. When he had fixed the curtain, he gave a sigh, and headed to the bathroom, shutting the door.

He cleaned and re-wrapped the cut on his hand, forgetting, briefly, that he was in an inn with a vampire. He wrapped it up tight, and headed back to the main room. He saw the fuss she had gone through, and he couldn't help but smile. Such a sweet gesture.

He grabbed a packet of blood from the cooler, and set it on the window seal so it would be warm for her when she woke. He ate the pizza, and crawled into bed, falling asleep.

She had to have been exhausted. She didn't stir at the commotion that he created by jumping in front of the light...nor did she wake when he exposed his blood to the air - though she was breathing and so was able to smell it. It did effect her, however, by giving her dreams of blood which poked and prodded at her instinctual hunger.

By the time she had awoken the blood packet would have had many hours to be gently heated by the sun- though the sun was still there.

She sat in there chair, hungry, but feeling like something was off. Not catching it right away, she went about her business but did so quietly, since she had seen the sleeping form in his ebd and had no idea how long h had been there. She looked at the pizza box and was satisfied that he had eaten. maybe he wouldn't be upset at her for snapping a bit at him earlier. Carefully checking outside, the light told her that it was too early to be active...it also told her that there was a blood packet on the window seal. She stared it it for a while. It would be such a nice breakfast, instead of the nasty cold blood she had expected to wake up to.

Forgetting that her pills had worn off, she reached for it, only to withdraw it so fast that it became a blur and hissing loudly. at it. Her hand would be a pretty dark red, even after that one second of exposure.

wether or not the loud hiss woke up Connor, who's probably had his share of sleep at that point, she sped off to the bathroom, wanting to be in a room away from the sun.

Since she was as hungry at she was, and keyed into the pleasures of blood that she knew she figured out what was bugging her pretty quickly. There was a faint trace of somewhat stale blood in the air. Her mind buzzed and then stopped as the thought hit her - there was blood in there.

Connor slept soundly, and deeply, waking at the hiss. He looked around, bleary eyed, and rubbed his eyes. He yawned, and ran a hand through his hair. He tried to figure out the hiss, rising and throwing out the empty pizza box, he found that the certain was disturbed, and grimaced. He should have thought about the sun with the blood packet, figuring that that had been the hiss of Elizabeth being burned.

He retrieved the blood packet, sitting it on the table, "Eliz-" He paused midway for a yawn, "Abeth, the blood packet's on the table" he said, figuring she was in the room somewhere. Most likely the bathroom.

For some reason, this gave him pause to stop and think. He tried to figure out why. He ran his left hand through his hair, blinking as the bandage caught. He sighed, and fixed it up, and then froze.

Had he cleaned up the blood in the bathroom? Foolish coming here and fixing himself up. He should have gone somewhere else, should have. But it was too late for should haves. He found himself holding his breath, as he went over to his duffel bag and took out his gun, just in case, just in case he had to kill her. That thought made him wince, made him curse and made him want to be anywhere but here.

"Elizabeth?" Alert now, he moved to the window, gripping the curtain in one hand. His instincts. "Are you alright? I'm sorry, I cut myself...I didn't think...I...please, answer" He was such a fool.

Blood.Blood.Blood.Blood.Blood.Blood...

She had found the source, and was staring at it as her thirst got worse and brought to her mind endless thoughts of blood that tempted her to taste it and then do more. Tearing her eyes from it and stopping her breath so that she didn't smell it any more...she feabily made her way into the tub as far away from it as possible and squeezed her eyes shut. That didn't stop the raging current of thoughts and memories though, and for the first time in nearly three hundred years, the thirst was getting to her and she felt her own mentaliy start to slip away from her.

But something put the breaks on her seemless slip into her vampiric need. She heard her name, and realized that Connor was talking to her. She slowly came closer to the door, focussing on what it was that he was saying..by the time she could think past the need for blood to actually make anything out, he was apologizing for the blood in the bathroom....and then asked her to answer. She noted the tone of concern in his voice and imagined that his instincts as a hunter were starting to agitate.

and then, she felt sad that she had wanted to rip out his throat only moments earlier...

Please god, not yet...

she found herself thinking, as she stared at the door keeping him safely from her field of vision. She couldn't inhale to answer him, because she was still on edge and the smell might drive her over that edge. She reached up with one finger and made a really long scratch sound to get his attention before tapping out the message, "still here." and hoping to God that he had learned Morse Code at some point in his life.

Connor was growing nervous. Thoughts were whirling through his mind, and he felt as if something was about to happen. As the seconds dragged on without anything from Elizabeth, Connor began to think that someone she had gotten out, had gone hunting after smelling his blood and he grew uneasy.

And then she began to tap on the door. It took him a moment or two to realise it was morse code, something he hadn't used in years. It took him longer to understand what she was saying, and he let out a soft breath when he knew what it was.

"Okay.. I'm going to leave the blood packet by the bathroom door, and then retreat to the window" He said, knowing it was kind of a threat, even though he didn't want it to be. He grabbed the blood packet, and walked slowly to the bathroom door, leaving the blood packet just outside so she could reach it, before retreating back to the window, gun still in hand.

Just in case.

He was still cursing himself for being a fool, and didn't know what was wrong with him, why he hadn't thought ahead. He was getting too complacent, he knew. And that was dangerous, for himself, as well as for Elizabeth.

Elizabeth was just as nervous as Connor, probably even more so. It was a long while before she got any response to her tapping and she felt fear that he didn't understand her and was going to react to having no verbal response with his natural hunters' instinct. In the following silence, she was reminded that if anything went wrong between them she was probably going to get a silver bullet faster than she could blink.

She would wind up with her soul going...where ever cursed vampire souls went...and he would just continue on his quest, killing the bad monsters.

Part of her nervousness evaporated though, when he began to speak to her again, meaning that he could understand morse code- meaning she could communicate even while trapped in there. With a small smile of victory, she pressed her ear against the door and focussed on his footsteps. When they sounded far away and stopped, she slowly turned the knob and cracked the door. She wouldn't looked at him, but just quickly grab the bloodpacket and close the door back up. Seeing the red blood and feeling its warm in her hands was a comfort in a way. The comfort didn't last long because she sank her teeth into and through the plastic skin. Her thirst became strong again, and though she tried to drink slowly, she found that the packet didn't last very long and it became painfully clear to her that a pint was just enough to tease her thirst. She needed more, but both her options were the worst of the worst....drink cold blood after nice warm blood...or losing to her needs and getting killed.

She grimaced over these options as she tore the packet open and licked the last of the blood that stubbornly refused to come out. After she was done, she dropped the packet onto the floor and looked at the door. She had to do something...she couldn't stay in there with the bit of his blood teasing her, and him on the other side with a gun waiting for her to inevitably give in to this strange torturous moment of fate..

Feeling the pressure, she again scoots to the door to try to communicate.

Connor...am lost...need more but trapped...it is a bad situation.

Her eyes traveled to the door knob. It would be so easy to close the difference, she found herself thinking and her frustrations rose with the conclusion of those thoughts. She wanted his blood so bad...to viciously tear into him in a most satisfying manner...the images even played infront of her eyes...but she didn't want to hurt him...and she didn't want to give up.

im sorry.

Connor watched Elizabeth open the door, and snatch the blood up, and he relaxed somewhat as the door closed again. He moved slowly towards the cooler, and took out another packet of blood just in case. It was the last packet, and he winced, knowing he'd have to try and track down some more. He licked his lips, and opened the microwave, putting the blood packet in a cup and heating it up. Again, just in case.

He stood there, listening, waiting for any sign that Elizabeth would succumb and attack him.He raised his gun, now away from the curtain, he was unable to use the sun as a weapon. So, just n case, he'd need to use his gun, he needed it ready.

He still couldn't believe his foolishness. He could just hit himself. He stood there, and flinched as Elizabeth started tapping on the door again. He listened, figuring out what she was saying.

"I have more blood heating up now. Its the last packet, so hopefully, you'll be alright. Well, alright long enough to go hunt" He said, "And give me enough time to clean up" He said, moving to take the blood out the microwave, and taking it over to the door, retreating once more to the window.

"its not your fault. Its mine"

At least she could get him to talk to her. It calmed her slightly to have him talking to her, not leaving her alone with her thoughts. She was also glad to hear that he already was heating up more blood, though she shared his concern about her being able to contain herself after she was done with the next bit of blood until she could go hunting. She had no idea when that might be, but he was using the window as a threat so the sun had to still be up. She growled to herself in mild frustration, but perked up as she heard his footsteps come closer again before receeding.

This time when she opened the door, she was met with a cup of blood and despite herself she paused to smile slightly. Like a child wanting hot cocoa right after playing in the snow, her fingers curved around the cup as she held it close. Instead of retreating right away into the bathroom this time, she just sat there in the doorway with her precious mug of warm blood. She eagerly sipped it for a while, and he might be able to see her hand already healing from the sunburn. The combination of talking, getting some blood, and the mug seemed to have calmed her enough that when she now glanced up at Connor -most likely with the gun pointed at her head- though her body still trembled for want of his blood, she had a mug of it to hold and sip from so thoughts of tearing him apart and making him bleed could wait. Another couple sips and she just got up and very slowly -VERY SLOWLY- went and sat in the chair she was occupying before.

Her eyes hadn't left him, and she was still trembling but at least she wasn't looking at him like a predator...no, now she was just looking at him like someone who had a gun pointed at them but understood why that person was being paranoid. "Talk." she said gently, taking another sip. "it helps."

Connor glanced outside as he waited for her to take the blood. The sun was sinking, and he knew he wouldn't be able to use that as a weapon soon. So, hopefully, Elizabeth would be able to get herself under control, and keep herself under control soon. He thought what he would have to do, and then he remembered something. He went to his duffel bag, looking up as the bathroom door opened, and took out a plastic looking bullet. Really, it was a specilised bullet, set to shatter on contact. It was full of dead mans blood. Essentially, it would stun, and slow down a vampire for a few hours. He didn't have much of it, but if it meant subduing Elizabeth without killing her, he would do it. He quickly loaded the gun, seeing her sitting there.

He let out a soft sigh, relieved. Her eyes were still....sane. He was thankful for that, but didn't let down his guard just yet. He lowered the gun when she began to walk slowly, figuring the danger was over. For now. He stayed standing even as she sat down. He swallowed, clutching the gun at his side, ready. Just in case.

He licked his lips, and watched her. When she said to talk, he sighed again. "I went to bury the werewolf, but the body wasn't there...I guess I let my frustration get the better of me, and I locked the keys in the car, and...I smashed the window open, cutting myself...I didnt think, I just came here and cleaned up...I didn't think about it..." He trailed off, dropping his head, looking at the ground. "I'm sorry. i should have" He blamed himself for this, as he should.

"I have to go get the car soon, I needed to get the window replaced. And I'll have to find some more blood packets for you, and...and what ever else I need to do. I think if we leave at least by 2 am, we will reach the next town by morning"

He was just rambling now. She had said to talk, so that was what he was doing.

Elizabeth stopped drinking and just watched him for a moment. When she told him to talk, she was thinking about herself and her issues with her thrist...but when he began to talk, and quite quickly, she realized that it had an effect on him too, how guilty he felt, and how that talking about it might help him tto in a way. Slowly, she set the cup down on her lap, and her eyes looked him over, stopping to rest a moment of his bandaged hand. Despite not meaning to, she sniffed the air and caught the smell of his blood again. yes...it was his blood that she had smelt and been so enticed by. With that matter settled in her mind, not like it hadn't already...she tore her eyes away from the wound and looked him over again. The sight of him tore her into three different emotional responces.

One side of her thought that perhaps he would be so guilty right now that he'd be easy to manipulate and get close to...but obviously that was her worst side.

Another side, one of the two more human responses wanted to hug him and assure him that it was just a slip that anyone could make. That he should relax more and not beat himself up about it. On the flip side of her humanity, though, she knew that he had been more in his element before she had become his sort-of-partner. That it was his fault for being so lax around a vampire. That if she caudalled him, he might not learn from a mistake that could have killed either of them, and it would happen again.

She sat there, watching him in all his guilt, debating within herself how she would react. It was a big mistake, and he was so vulnerable looking that her reaction right now could make a big change between them. She looked back towards the bathroom, and then at him.

Attack...caudal...attack?

She turned back to her cup, and sighed. "Go clean your mess, first." she said finally, and though she said it quietly and not sternly at all...she knew he would probably take it that way. Unable to force herself to just sip anymore, she sucked down the rest of the cup, reveling in the feel of it going down her throat and even licking the inner rim of the cup to get the most of the taste.

Brief thoughts of an old movie about a dog and its young master flashed through her mind, but she pushed them away for consideration later.

Connor was uneasy as the silence stretched on. He knew some of what would be going through Elizabeth's mind-attack or not, kill him or let him live. He didn't know all of what was going through her head, but he knew that basic instinct would be there. Connor thought the quicker they found the medallion, the better, for both of them.

He watched her eyes flicker to his hand, and he curled it into a fist around the bandages. It was no longer bleeding, of that he was sure, but the dried blood would still linger on the bandages. He would change the bandage, burn the old ones. Make it easier for her to deny her natural instincts.

He sighed and nodded when she said to clean up the mess, going to do so. He grabbed his first aid gear, lighter and a bottle of bleach he used at times on some monsters. A few were vulnerable to the make of of the chemical. Connor had found that essentially anything could be used to fight against the supernatural. Thank god, or he wouldn't be here right now. He poured bleach over the sink and down the sink, scrubbed it as best he could and then ran water through it. He did his best to clean up, and then shutting the door, he unwound the bandage, and burned it, making sure bit to light the whole place up, before putting a fresh bandage on.

Satisfied that he had done all he could, he grabbed the torn blood packet, and threw it out, before heading out the bathroom

(this post, with it's obvious Over Powering...was allowed XP)

And she was right there to meet him. As quick as any vampire, she grabbed his wrists and used them to pull his body over to the nearest wall and press him up against it. She didn't look quite insane yet but obvious to any person, this behavior is a bit off. At this close a distance he would be able to hear her inhale slightly, just as she could hear his and his heart beat. She shook her head slightly so that she could better ignore it. The point here wasn't to actually attack him...though it was tempting now that she was actually this close...but she wanted his reaction. Strange thing for a vampire that almost would have been dusted because of his reaction to her.

Regardless, she slowly pressed up closer to him, her lips almost touching his warm flesh, but she wasn't going for the spot a vampire feeds at, a couple inches down, she was right below his ear. She paused right there, her breath was still, as was the rest of her body minus the intense trembling. It was so easy...so, so easy...yet she did not...wait, she told herself...wait...

(yea a post just to get his reaction XP)

Connor was shocked as Elizabeth grabbed him, pushing him against the wall. He didn't fight, seeing no point in it, cursing himself for a fool for having left his gun. Another mistake. His heart was beating fast, his breathing was shallow and quick, the only reaction his body have to the situation. Otherwise, he was calm. He stayed very still, watching her.

Was this just inevitable? His death? Was it always going to end like this, with Elizabeth killing him, meeting death four years later then he should have? Or was it inevitable that she would succumb and turn him? Were they destined to kill each other?

He didn't fight back, his wrists in her hands, and he took a small amount of comfort at that. Maybe...but all thought fled as she pushed against him, and he sucked in a shocked breath, as she stopped just by his ear, seeming to hesitate. He didn't feel her breathing, and didn't know if that was a good thing or not. What was she up to?

"Elizabeth" he whispered softly, almost sensual.

She took a light but sharp intake at that, and felt her chest press up against his. She was going to pull away, that's what she told herself. But she found herself gently nuzzling into his neck, feeling the warmth on her face. It was comforting, in a way...to have this warm flesh to touch as much as she wanted. She even went so far as to place her lips on him, feeling his heartbeat radiate from his carotid.

But she didn't bite. Pulling herself away as she extended her fangs to do so, she stared at the spot on his neck she had just visited, how it very slightly shimmered under the light of the hotel room. Her every instinct was to bite it, to stop torturing herself. Even her throat was in pain from the intense need, though it had felt the presence of blood not too long ago. Instead she back up lightly, and gently kissed his cheek.

"Connor." she answered, also whispering. She didn't look him in the eyes, she wasn't sure what he would read if she did...but she noted that his voice was even, and not shaky at all. She briefly wondered if he really was just waiting for death...despite how alive he acted around her. Her voice wasn't as even though, how could it be, when she was trembling so much?

"What is it?"

Connor was quite still as she nuzzled him, working at keeping himself under control. Strange, the tables seemed to have turned now. Apart from her trembling, Elizabeth seemed in control, but himself...He swallowed as she pressed her leaps to his the beat of his heart in his throat, her cool lips almost an assurance against his warm skin.

When she didn't bite, he let himself relax, despite the fact that she extended her fangs, and stared at his neck, and he watched her step back, and then kiss his cheek. She just seemed to be shocking him left right and centre. He swallowed again as she whispered his name in return.

He noticed the slight tremble in her voice, could feel her shaking, and he knew it was from her thirst. He cleared his throat when she asked what it was. He licked his lips, and shifted slightly, "I...what...what are you doing?"
