Shiranui returned Titania and joined Liam at the Pokémon Centre, not only healing his Pokémon but giving his mind a rest from the sombre nature of the tower.

"Well, I wonder what Mr.Fuji wants to talk with us about." Liam thought aloud.

"There's only one way to find out," answered Shiranui as he received his Pokémon.

The two went to Mr. Fuji's house. Cubone was being carried by Liam. Cubone was still crying over the loss of his mother and Liam was trying to comfort him. When they arrived Mr. Fuji explained to them about how he has a dark past, and how he runs the Pokemon House in a way to make amends He had heard about what Team Rocket was doing up in the tower and went to stop them and that is when they arrived and stopped them. "Our timing was impeccable," commented Shiranui.

"Here, I have something I want you two to have." He gave each of them a box that held a bracelet and a strange stone. "Have Gardevrior and Alakazam hold those stones and press the button on that bracelet." Mr. Fuji explained. "It triggers Mega Evolution, something recently discovered in the Kalos region. i have been waiting for fine young trainers that I knew could be trusted with these. I should also note thatonly specific Pokemon are capable of. Each of them have a special stone like that they have to hold. These are Gardeviornite and Alakazamnite. But be warned, in the chance you manage to acquire multiple Mega evolution Stones, you can only Mega Evovle one pokemon per battle."
Liam thanked Mr. Fuji as he put the bracelet on and gave Sherlock the stone.

Shiranui did likewise and gave Titania the Gardevoirite. Because of his new acquisition, he knew he needed to find more of those stones including an Alakazite for Jean, a Venusaurite for Fushigi, an Aggronite for Tetsu and a Tyranitarite for Yamamoto. "Liam, our next destination is Saffron City, but the guards are still not letting anyone through," stated Shiranui.

"Should we move on To Fuchia City in the meantime?" Liam inquired. "They have a gym and the Safari Zone."

"I think we should," answered Shiranui, looking south towards the jetties of Route 12, "Their gym is easier to beat."

'So gym first or the Safari Zone?" Liam asked.

[James Davy]

"I'm inclined to get their badge first," answered Shiranui, "What about you?"

"I was thinking of going to the Safari first." Liam said "But we can do the gym first. it is poison type, so we need ground, psychic, and steel types. I have Cubone and Sherlock with me, so I might be alright" He then remembered there was a Snorlax blocking both paths to Fuchsia City and audibly asked what if they were still there. Mr Fuji handed him a flute with a Pokeball designed on it. He said it was a Pokeflute and it is designed to wake sleeping pokemon. He also said to use it if the Snorlax was still there. Liam thanked Mr. Fuji for everything, including the flute. "Shall we be off then?" Liam asked.

"Which way?" asked Shiranui, remembering there were two ways to Fuchsia City, "South or west?" He was tempted to test out his Mega Ring at the gym, but because Titania was part-Fairy, she would have a weakness against Poison-type Pokémon despite also having a type advantage.

"Well, south is closer, but East is quicker." Liam said. "Lets go south."

Shiranui nodded and headed south along Route 12.

After a bit of walking, they eventually found the Snorlax.

" Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokemon.It is not satisfied unless it eats over 880 pounds of food every day. When it is done eating, it goes promptly to sleep.It can digest any kind of food, even if it is moldy or rotten."

"So, who should battle it once we wake it up?" Liam asked.

"I'll do it," answered Shiranui, knowing a Snorlax can be formidable.

Liam played the tune on the Pokeflute. Snorlax woke up in a grumpy rage. "All yours Shiranui." Liam said

Shiranui didn't have a Fighting-type Pokémon to exploit Snorlax's type weakness, but it didn't stop him from cooking up a strategy after having a look on his Pokédex. "Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokémon. Its stomach can digest any kind of food, even if it happens to be moldy or rotten."
"Sapphire, I choose you!" He let his Sableye out and the crystal-eyed ghost was itching for a battle. "Start with Taunt!" Sapphire turned around and smacked her rear, causing Snorlax to fly into a rage. Shiranui saw Snorlax's attack fail. "Now to practice your new move; Brick Break!" Sapphire ran at Snorlax and delivered a swift karate chop that did a lot of damage. Snorlax tried to do Body Slam, but Sapphire wasn't affected by the move. "Use Fury Swipes!" Sapphire swiped Snorlax four times and Shiranui took the opportunity. "Ultra Ball, go!" He threw a black Poké Ball with a yellow pattern resembling a capital 'H' at the Snorlax and it was drawn in. The ball shook a lot and just as Shiranui wished he had some Heavy Balls on hand, the ball snapped shut. He was lucky since Snorlax was one of the hardest Pokémon to catch next to legendary Pokémon. He picked up the Ultra Ball—now glowing red—and was thinking about a name while coming to grips on acquiring a formidable new friend. "Welcome aboard, Suimin."

"Well, now we can move on to Fuchsia City." Liam said.
