"Good luck," Shiranui bade before turning to see how Mew was doing.

Mew was floating around Liam. He stopped and used Psychic to unzip his bag. He psychically pulled the Master Ball out and set it in Liam's hand. "Do you want to come with me?" Liam asked. mew shook in confirmation. and then flew back to take a battle position.

Shiranui knew Mew wanted to see if Liam was worthy as a trainer and decided to make some space for the two. He hoped Mewtwo saw the good side of humanity himself before the next time they met.

Liam called on Grimm.
"Grimm! Start off with Shadow ball!" Liam called. The tiny ghost formed the ball of black energy and threw it at Mew, who took it directly. Mew then used Dark Pulse. Grimm took a direct hit.
"Disable!" Liam ordered. Mew's Dark Pulse was blocked from being used. Mew used Dazzling Gleam.
Grimm was ordered to use Shadow Sneak next. Mew turned and used Me First and made a stronger Shadow Sneak that hit for super effective damage. Grimm then did his Shadow Sneak.
"Astonish!" Liam called.
Mew attempted to use Nasty Plot, but flinched.
Both Pokemon used Shadow Ball. When the dust cleared, both Pokemon were looking tired. Grimm started to glow white.
"Grimm is evolving." Liam said with a smile. However, the evolution stopped and he was still a Duskull.
"Dus dus kull." Grim said.
"You want to fight Mew as a Duskull?" Liam asked. Grimm nodded.
"Now Shadow Sneak!" Liam called. Mew used Metronome, which turned into Hyper Beam, which phased right though Grimm. Mew used Psychic and took the Master Ball from Liam and pulled it over. Mew tapped the button to go in. The ball fell to the cave ground with a soft thunk and snapped shut. Liam walked over and picked up the Master Ball. "Welcome to the team Mew." Liam said. He praised Grimm for the good job. He then turned to Shiranui: "Onto the Indigo Plateau, do you want to just wrap there with Sherlock or just wrap to Viridian City?

"We should warp straight to the plateau and get ourselves registered as soon as possible," answered Shiranui, "That way we'll have time to get our teams trained up and ready."

Liam agreed and had Shelrock transport them.

When our heroes materialised at the top of the Indigo Plateau, Shiranui went in and registered. The attendant scanned his badges and said to him, "The Pokémon League will be starting in two months."

Liam did the same. He asked Shiranui what he wanted to do. two months was a long time. They might be able to get a lot of training in on all their Pokemon.

"That's a good thing," Shiranui commented, "It allows me enough time to work on Titania's psychophobia. Liam, I think we should split up here and meet back here."

"We already have a room booked at the Center for the league competition. So we can go off and train and return and there will be a room ready for us."

"That sounds like a plan," replied Shiranui before he felt his mind being read.
"Meet me at the Moon Stone. I'd like a word with you. Just you."
"Liam, I have a feeling someone we know has just seen the light," Shiranui stated.

"That's good. Need me to accompany you?"

"Not this time," answered Shiranui, "He wants me to come alone."

"Need Sherlock to teleport you, or is that covered?"

[James Davy]

"I have Jean for that," answered Shiranui, letting his Alakazam out, "It's time we split."

"See you in two months." Liam said with a smile. Once his friend teleported away, Liam would begin to train his Pokemon in groups of six.

Shiranui appeared at the Moon Stone in Mt. Moon. He soon saw Mewtwo in a meditative position against the stone. "Sit down next to me so I can tell you a tale," Mewtwo requested. Shiranui did just that and Mewtwo started. "Seven months after I was created, I discovered the reason why I was created and escaped the mansion. I soon met the man who commissioned my creation and he offered to fine-tune my powers. That was how I ended up wearing that accursed armour. He tested my capabilities against several challengers and after you came along and gave me my first defeat, I realised during your friend's challenge that Giovanni only wanted me for my power. I bailed and found a spot in the cave near the place you call Cerulean City. I will not recount what took place, but after I parted ways from you I went soul searching. I read many minds in passing—both human and Pokémon—and discovered for the most part that your friend and my progenitor were both right.
"I came here to meditate on what I want to do with my life and this is where you come in, Shiranui."
"Me?" Shiranui asked.
"I want to start my life all over again and because you defeated me in battle, I want you to catch me," Mewtwo requested.
"I would be honoured to help you," replied Shiranui as he got his Master Ball out and tapped Mewtwo with it. Mewtwo was drawn in and the ball pinged shut. "I will call you Saisei," he said before finding two marble-like stones that Mewtwo had with him—two versions of Mewtwonite.

During the training Liam gave Silcoon, Ivysaur, and Rhyhorn all evolved.

" Rhydon, the Drill Pokemon, and the evolved form of Rhyhorn. Protected by an armor-like hide, it is capable of living in molten lava of 3,600 degrees Fahrenheit. It begins walking on its hind legs after evolution. It can punch holes through boulders with its horn.

Beautifly, the Butterfly Pokemon and the evolved form of Silcoon. Vibrantly patterned wings are its prominent feature. It sucks sweet flower nectar with its long mouth. It has an aggressive nature. It stabs prey with its long, narrow mouth to drain the prey's fluids."

When Liam took his Pokemon to be swapped out, Tracy informed him that when a Fearow attacked him, Eevee evolved and saved him.
"So, I have an Espeon now?" Liam asked.
Sylveon appeared on the screen. "You evolved into a Sylveon? That's fantastic!" Liam said. "I think I will have a good surprise for Shiranui when we meet up again." Liam stated as he rearranged his team to continue the training.

Shiranui was overjoyed when Ryuu evolved to a Dragonite during training. He decided to celebrate by flying on Ryuu to Knot Island as he had heard from rumours that a legendary Pokémon resided at a dormant volcano there.

Liam's Dratini evolved into Dragoniar.

"Dragoniare, the Dragon Pokemon, and Dratini's evolved form. Its crystalline orbs appear to give this Pokémon the power to freely control the weather. It is a mystical Pokémon that exudes a gentle aura. It is said to have the ability to change the weather." Liam praised the evolution.
