Well, I guess all went wrong, but at least I'm not dead.

Posting on Wednesday, folks. After that, I'll have an update system-wide for both LoR 2 and TLB that should help those with busy days remain useful without my necessarily having to puppeteer them against their will... Stay tuned.

Also, if I seem distracted, well...

Alright.
I'm in Animuland now (AKA Japan), and I'm gonna get on with writing both my posts for TLB and LoR tonight.
Sorry for the delay.

@Everyone: New system update along with a reminder. This will apply to TLB as well after it receives its next IC post.

If you are too busy to post, for one reason or another, you can tell me in the OOC what it is you want your characters to do and I'll act upon the assumption that they will do those things in the IC. That is, if you don't have time to crank out a full post, you can just let me know here what you want them to do for my next IC post.

Note that this shouldn't be used over and over and over again. It's intended that if you're busy for a week or two, you can still participate instead of being left behind.

Also, as a reminder as some people seem to have forgotten this and then blamed me for a lack of information in the IC. If you have any questions, please just ask me! There are details I will simply not think of adding so if you need more information just ask!

Two skeletons (re-death, so viability debatable); Oran (the orc); Jeremy's rad lover; and a shitty spider.

So I have no idea what order the crystals for our bomb need to be taken out. Pink, Red, Purple maybe? Water, Sun, Plant. That kinda goes from Lightest to darkest as well.

I'll be doing Red, Pink, Purple; Sun, Water, Plant. Follows the colour spectrum, and fits the riddle better. In the beginning there was the Sun, then water, then life (plants). Also, the Sun fits the bit about the "purist sight", and when combined with water (it's hybrid with another) forms plants.

Oh. that makes sense. For some reason I was thinking water to start germination, then the sun to grow the seedling into a plant. haha.Welp. Glad I won't be touching the bomb.

"Figure out the beginning, middle, and ending, the purist sight to its hybrid with another, and everything will be made clear!" That was likely the only clue they were going to get.

A closer look would reveal the crystals to each have a colour: Pink, purple, and red, each respectively. The pink crystal had the symbol of water on it, the purple crystal had the symbol of a plant on it, and the red crystal had the symbol of the sun on it.

I'm more partial on Red, Purple, Pink. Red the purist look at purple the hybrid and water clear everything.

Also the red first as "purist sight" makes sense from the color perspective, since red is one of the three basic colors humans perceive thus is the most pure color. Then as you indicated with the color spectrum thing, pink lies between red and purple and could thus be seen as a hybrid of those two.

So yeah, I agree with your assessment. I'll even leave Zin in the area to risk horrible explody death in case we're both wrong.

Even if we're wrong, maybe Brovo will retcon it to be right the more arguments we make in it's favour.

...

Maybe there never was a predetermined answer, and his plan all along was to bullshit it based on what we came up with. Clever girl boy.

I was actually partial to this view, myself. Purples seems more like a hybrid, and plant is also a hybrid of the resources that are water and sun.

The riddle says "purist sight" (red) "to its" (as in red's) "hybrid" (purple) "with another" (pink, which is just some other colour). However, pink could also be seen as a hybrid of red and white, though I would see that as more of a variation. This takes it to mean that "with another" is a separate item, not a descriptor of the hybrid.

The riddle also says "purist sight" (sun, think of the Allegory of the Cavern) "to its" (as in the sun's) "hybrid" (plant) "with another" (water, because sun+water makes plant). Also, as Alpha mentioned, water is clear, but I'm not so sure that is part of the riddle itself. This takes it to mean that "with another" is a descriptor of the hybrid.

As Jorick mentioned, Pink is a hybrid of Red and Purple. Also, the core of the riddle is the beginning, middle, and end part.

The part that I wasn't so sure was essential was the "everything will be made clear" or whatever. I'm still talking the beginning, end, and middle stuff.

I understand that pink—or more accurately, magenta—lies between red and purple on the colour spectrum. However, I stand by my theory—and Alphakoka's—until you give me something that discredits it, because you've given me no counters that state mine wrong and because I still believe magenta is different from pink.

1.) You're all thinking that the colours or pictures mean something. How about this... Let's assume for a moment that this jackass is the sort to screw with people's minds. Wouldn't it be kind of up his alley to tie you up, thinking of which answer is correct... when the answer is a lie? Quite simply put... There very well could be no answer. It could come down to simply being a matter of having to decide who to throw their life on the chance that at the end of the day, someone is gonna die diffusing this thing so it DOESNT kill EVERYONE.

2. We're also assuming that the riddle is connected just to the pretty orbs. There could be a chance that the riddle involves external sources. IE) Rule of 3s in LoR... Slave, regular, noble. Hells, mortal, Heavens. Oceans (deep), Land, Skies (above), Demon, mortal, Angel.

Just throwing this out there.

Oh, and more likely than not, you guys are overcomplicating things with the colour schemes and scientific facts. We're in medieval times, boobs, and if Brovo was going to make colours so important, I'd have to strike him upside the head because of how many colour blind individuals we've had in the past.
