Kari crashed through the nurse's window, glass embedded in her wings

"No pain no gain, right? Besides...I can't let this get in my way." Neku calls after Elu as he continues walking. his movement improving slightly.

Elu nods but jumps when she hears the window break. She turns around and walks silently towards the owl.

Kari turned back into her human form and rubbed her arms. "Ow."

Neku turns around when he hears the noise of shattered glass. He moves toward Kari until he's standing right besides Elu. "Another witch huh...what do you want?" He asks.

"Not to hurt you. To warn you. There will be a major attack launched at Death City soon. I don't know the day but soon." Kari said pulling glass from her arms

"How are we to trust you?" Elu asked sharply with her memories slowly returning she remember the witch that killed her family and took her memories and the witch in front of them was that witch

Victor would yawn as he purchases some food from the local market, and he turns, heading back to his apartment. He'd been in the city for a while now, and the school still hadn't noticed him. He thought that the place might deserve to get destroyed, and inwardly wondered why it hadn't been attacked by a witch army yet. He had, of course, not gone to witch-con or whatever it was called, our of the minute fear he'd either be killed, jailed, or worse. Once he drops his stuff off at his apartment, he decides to drop his soul protect, and walk to the DWMA. Going inside if no one stops him. He was going to strike a deal today even if it ended up with him in a jail cell.

Elu's sudden sharpness in her tone slightly surprised Neku, but nonetheless, he silently decided to help Kari, kneeling down and removing glass from her arms. "It's that witch, Erika, isn't it...if she's planning an attack of this scale, she must have defeated the head witch..." he states.

"She did. I watched everything happen and as soon as the meeting was over I left." Kari said nodding her head in thanks at Neku.

"But why did you decide to come and warn us?" Elu asked as she grabbed some gauze to keep from having to look at Kari any longer

"It seems like you wouldn't like it for us to go down without a fight...I wouldn't have it any other way." Neku states as he finishes removing the glass from her left arm and begins removing the remaining glass from her right arm. "One thing you should know about me...I don't lose to the same opponent twice." he says.

Kari nodded.

Elu started to wrap up Kari's left arm

"I do have a question for you, though...were you the one that took my partner's memories?" Neku asks as he finishes with her right arm, adding on to the pile of bloody glass beside him.

"I was but I did it for her safety." Kari said.

"What safety?! You erased the whole entire first ten years of my life!" Elu said

Neku waits for Kari to explain herself as well.

"There was a witch that was hunting you and your family down. When your mother was younger I was her best and only friend. When the witch hunting your family found you all she had me erase your memories of your childhood so you could live a somewhat normal adult life and not try to hunt down the witch who killed your family by yourself." Kari explained.

"But why?" Elu asked

Neku remained silent as Kari gave her explanation, trying to piece everything together.

"Mm, that right? Good, glad to hear it. It's nice being ahead of schedule."

The attack had been moved up on schedule.

Each continent's "Protector" had been attended to.

The stage was set, at long last.

"Tomorrow, then. Assemble everyone properly, and don't disappoint me."

Kari shook her head. "Your mother never told me why."

Elu slumped back onto her heels with this information swirling through her head

Vech, having not been stopped entering the building, casually felt around the school for energies, and was a tad surprised to feel another witch here, but not entirely, judging by the level of security stopping him. He could feel a few other strong souls, but he couldn't be certain which was the Lord Death. He decided to go through them in an order, and made his way up to the infirmary, calmly letting himself in. He was going to see to the witch first, if she wasn't with the school, he had a free 'battery', if she was, then he could ask her where the Lord Death was. He'd ignore the Nurse if she tried to communicate with him, and push her out of the way should she get in it. He heads to where the witch is, and sighs as he barely peaks in, it seems that she was buddy-buddy with the two people there. "Too bad." He'd say quietly, but he'd continue to watch, politely letting them have their conversation before he asked there the Lord Death was currently. He was sensing more and more witches outside the city, and he very much hoped he could help deal with them.

Neku was about to say something when he sensed the presence of another witch behind him. He turned around to see Vech watching them intently. "I suppose you didn't come here to pay a visit to the injured, hm?" he states as he looks at Vech indifferently, using his left hand to adjust his headphones..

Vech chuckles slightly. "I'm not even sure who you are, so no, I'm not. I'm here because of the witch." He points at Kari. "Also, you need better security. If you're hunting Witches and Warlocks at the very least they shouldn't be able to just walk right in."
