Scorn felt some anger flare in Jacque's heart, prompting him to smirk in amusement and slightly reveal some of his now sharpened teeth.
"Metahumans fighting each other and destroying their surroundings is nothing uncommon, but I did feel something odd when I brought that ship to the ground..."
Scorn floated on past Jacque and observed the skyline in the distance. There was some smoke rising into the sky from at least two different locations. What Scorn had felt was anger and strife, but not the sort that resulted from being wronged, attacked, or anything of the sort. Instead, it seemed to be "artificial", spurred on by the effects of something else. Perhaps that signal? Scorn remembered being almost overcome by his rage as soon as he even got near the ship. That wasn't too uncommon for him, being a Red Lantern and all, but ever since Atrocitus gave rational thought to his Corps, random intervals of rage were reduced significantly.
The Lantern then looked to the sky, anger growing within him. Arrogant creatures approached his planet by the minute with the intent to destroy it, and they had already indirectly started the chaos by instigating the metas of earth into a frenzy. Scorn considered searching for the fleet, and while he would have loved to send charred bodies floating through the void, taking it on all by himself wasn't smart...
"You should ready yourself meta, it won't be long now..."
Scorn began to fly away towards the city, wondering if maybe some of his fellows were on their way here too. Rankorr? He was human, maybe the ring was leading him here too of he hadn't already arrived. That could have well been the case, Scorn figured that whatever these aliens were using to emit their frenzy signals were stationed all around the globe, hidden so no one would find them.
"I'll handle the things in this part of the world... other metas and Lanterns can handle the rest elsewhere..."
