Niesha didn't have w vehicle of any sort. She normay just used her power to get her places or walked, but after today's events she decided that it might be better to walk. She jogged down a few streets, rummaging through her bag as she did so. She was relieved to find the keys she had had cut. That was a good start.
when she arrived at the house, she snatched up mail from the letter box, reminding herself she needed to redirecf it, then cursing remembering her moving truck, she dialed the number she had for the truck, unlocking the door to the house.
The house was made of red brick, its roof iron, it had two stories-up1stairs were the two bedrooms and a bathroom, downstairs kitchen, living room, laundry and a toilet. The garden was well kept, and the house was clean.
she pushed ooen the door just s someone answered the phone. She looked about, it really was empty. Oh there was the furniture, which she f0hd decided to leave in the house and get nw furniture for herself, but it was emoty. Her mother wasn't there to great her, no sounds of cooking or baking. No mum feelimg.
"Hello? Hello?" The voice from her phone shocked niesha.
"Oh, uh, sorry, this is Niesha,, I'm running a littke late, and just wanted to say, the doors open, just shove it all in the living room, I'll deal with it later, and will swing by to give you the rest of your payment" she didn't wait for an answer, hanging up. She went to the kitchen, taking out the cookies from her bag, she set them on a plate. Then thought she should go clean up.
In the bathroom, she saw that she lookrd a little worse for wear. Covered in dust and dirt, her clothes ruffled, scratches and bruises covering her body-her hands and wrists the worse from falling with the sheild. She grimaced moving them. Sore. Muscle damage most likely. That would take hours to heal, and she woukd still have bruises. The faint scar along her neck was the only injury Zed had given her, and for that she was greatful.
She was a mess. She went through what had been her room, pleased at being able to find a few clothes she hadnt packed, that she had forgotten about, and a hair tie.she quickly xhanged, washi g her hands and face, then running her fingers through her hair and tying it up. She looked at the result in the mirrior. A bit better. She shoved her clothes in her bag, kicking of her shoes so she was no longer tracking dirt through the plae, tidy up a bit, and hoped that Katherine wouldn't notice, or wouldn't inquire about the bruising.
She went around turning on appliances, shoving the small tv onto a random channel, turning on the kettle just in case Katherine wanted anhot drink, and basically made sure everything was running okay in the house. She then sat down, taking ojt the contact she had had written up, setting it down with a pen.she had already decided in a pricr and signed where she needed to, if Katherine thought the orice was too cheap, that was too bad, she didn't need much more income, and Katherine cleanly needed the money. She thought 300 a month was fine for anhouse that was otherwise just going to be sitting tnere empty.
she realised she'd put the tv onto a news channel, and turned, liztening into aol the choas that seemed to be happening. She hoped Zed would be okay.
