This place was screwed. Awesome had brought Light to the hospital without incident, but then he'd sensed warships coming towards Hope. Worse yet, nukes. He quickly made his decision. While the nukes wouldn't bother him, he couldn't evacuate even half of Hope's population in time. Even if he guded the nukes into the portals, the explosion would destroy both cities. Thus, the only course of action left was to stop the ships. However, at the same time, he could sense the kid who'd come to him before, as well as shadow dude and a stranger, all with Ellysia. If he didn't do something, chances were they'd be her next victims. Anyone capable of torturing her sister for eternity was a threat to anyone in the vicinity, and he should have taken her down the moment he knew she was the cause of the death. He'd have to be quick.
At the ships, Captain Awesome quite simply disabled their electrical supply. Without power, they couldn't fire the nukes, and they wouldn't be able to navigate the ships. If they turned off the engines, they wouldn't be able to turn them on again, either. With their navigation dead, they'd fly right over Hope, and they wouldn't be able to turn back without risk of crashing. Nobody could manuever a fighter jet solely by eye. And if they did, he'd just have to turn around the nukes, and aim them at the ocean, where hopefully all they'd do is bother the sealife.
Appearing once more at the towere, Awesome threw Elysia against the wall, pinned there by two metal bands. "Stay back. This woman is arrested for numerous counts of assault, robbing a bank, conspiriing with supervillains, conspiring with a murderer, and inflicting hellish mental torture on her sister. Oh, and standing on the grass." He looked around at the small group of assembled metas. "Kid, you stay close. I sensed you coming out of a portal, stay here. I want to make sure you aren't working with the enemy. Aki, strange guy, you're free to go. We're going to need every meta out there when Kami invades." Awesome sighed. Luckily, nobody had been hurt. It was odd seeing Aki again after all this time, but it didn't matter, really. He'd forgotten why he'd ever disliked the guy. And while it seemed unlikely to him that the kid was one of Kami's spies - she didn't seem like a devious evil mastermind, nor a mindless slave - nobody left Fear without Kami's direct permission.
Kami hissed, as Ghastly surveyed the tower. She would have loved to set a spider on Moonbeam, but the kid would have sensed it. She shouldn't leave her in Captain Awesome's presence, he'd fill her mind with thoughts of violence and stubborn resistance. People like him didn't care about what was best for the world, they only cared about their black and white view of "good" and "evil". However, thoughts of altruism were happy thoughts, and if he could convince Moonbeam that she was an evil that would soon fall upon the world, she knew Moonbeam would turn against her. She'd have to end this, now. Then, she felt an odd signal, not from Ghastly, but still from Hope. A signal she'd been hoping for for quite some time......
Wiper opened its eyes. As everyone was dead, Wiper hadn't been put to sleep, as it usually was. The dose hadn't been given, and it wearily looked around the lab. It was covered in corpses. Blood everywhere. Wiper shivered, it's cage exploding. Kami told it of the police officers who Ghastly could see moving towards the building. She closed her eyes, and saw through Ghastly's eyes. A gesture, a movement of her hand. They were all gone. Wiper was in the room next to Kami. This was where the Ashley woman was imprisoned. They were all faceless to her, blurring in it's mind's eye, as it gathered her power to her. It was no longer in the room. Instead, it was aboard the warships, Ghastly next to it. It gestured, and all the nukes were gone.
Awsome opened his eyes wide. Wiper was awake. He could sense it. Possibly the most dangerous meta in Kami's employ, the legendary assassin of Fear. It's electronic signature moved from place to place instantly, he couldn't get a lock on it. It was near him, and then gone. Nobody was safe. "Wiper's awake. Aki, kid, stranger. I don't know who you all are, except Aki. But there's a very dangerous meta coming. Don't let it touch you." Awesome stood, calling electricity towards himself. It had been a long time since there had been a chance of losing. Since death had been an option in any fight. However, the first time he'd taken Wiper by surprise. Other than Abbadon, he couldn't think of any other meta capable of harming him.
Wiper killed the last man by making his head explode. It strode through the masses of corpses. Sand was everywhere. It's vision was blurred, it's breath rasping. Reaching out, it moved it's gas mask back into it's hand. It had been left in working order. Wiper put it one, as it's clothes appeared from nothing around it. There was death in the air. Wiper seemed to blur, as the faceless masks of the corpses rolled through it's mind's eye. It had killed two hundred men. More than that. However, Kami wanted it's service. It would kill more. It would keep killing. Because killing was all it knew to do.
