Iluvatar, I just released you were praying to me...someone is earning their brownie points ;)

Also I have read the points put forward by Duck and MrFoxNews about their empire merger. I have made my decision on what will happen because of it (If it goes through.) So they now have a choice, since MrFoxNews has offered it he has basically asked for it however Duck still needs to accept the offer in the IC, it still may not happen. That is their decision since I wont have what I tell them effect their choice..

Also if the merger is going to happen then I will be advancing the date immediately with event galore :)

Haha, you can go for it if you want...only reason I want to advance really is to add events and get people interacting with each other in ways other than "Lets all be friends" also the natives will be appearing!

Ah fuck. I better get the army and navy ready, and pick suitable targets, just in case I need to do a Mussolini to keep those damn rebels from whining too much.

I see a fatal flaw in that warning. What if the nations supporting the two now default on all agreements due to the ending of the Lance and Numburg political entities, form an alliance with invaders and crush Prussia in order to slice up its lands how they please when they're done? Particularly as none of them were informed this might be coming, and might be spiteful about the impacts on trade, agreements (Anyone who pledged to defend Numburg would now either have to default or be dragged into defending the Lance as well) politics and the global economy.

As if I see one nation attempting to gear up a force to wipe them off the map it will be black plague time...im not expecting nations to honer agreements but to respect that this is about story and not the biggest dick...I mean lands...competition. circumstamces may dictate that tiny portians of land are lost as well as colonial areas...who knows.

I may be able to supply what aid I do have available, provided I will receive vast compensation for emptying my treasury and throwing away my Peoples lives in a foreign conflict. People are rather adverse to their friends and family going off to die for another nations cause, after all, not to mention the political implications for voting in the next election (Mr Prime Minister has his own ends too, after all), the possible political and economic troubles at home... And the possibility of my soldiers failing, this all falling apart and us seeing a collapse of your nations... With my investment collapsing with it

I'm gambling on this, basically, and as such I expect to gain a lot if it succeeds.

But yes, you will have my support provided you two will cough up when the time comes for me to convince my population that Corustaria has benefited in a massive way from this.

Well time to offer the good old nationalist underground, not so legal trade deals, and supply them with the finest of weaponry and ships!

Considering they're headed by corporations, I cant say I wasn't expecting anyone to swoop in on an arms deal xD

Anyways, I see this as escalating quickly if the royalists decide to call upon the army. They are what I would consider the most powerful faction, as they have influence that could potentially remove the power Prussia's government has... Or rather doesn't have, as the government hasn't even been fully established yet. The nationalists are one of the other major players, especially since they're committed to terrorism. I wouldn't disregard the independents either, they won't remain peaceful forever if people are just going to ignore them, if they feel they are being completely ignored, their members may start to join more extreme elements or found their own.

Actually, I'm opposed to the military supporting the Royalist. The Royalists would be the nobles, and the military has a generally bad view of them. Many of the generals see them as having big egos.

Plus that and the second you enter the military, you hear about loyalty to the Kaiser non-stop. It makes no sense for the average soldier or a good portion of the army to support the Royalists.

See, since you are pounding out loyalty to the Kaiser into their ears it does. They have been told they are supposed to be loyal to the Kaiser... Now there is a congress they are supposed to be loyal to. A democratic congress has just popped out of no where, and I don't imagine an army which you have drilled loyalty to the Kaiser into would just be okay with something popping up which limits the Kaisers powers and has the cheek to put it on his level. It makes sense that this group that's called the royalists would also include militarists, who are often very patriotic... Not in the least because this group includes those.dissatisfied with the name change, which would likely be the mark of patriots and militarists
Being extremely loyal to the emperor but at the same time not having royalists among them is kind of mutually exclusively. The army is going to have its own political views and their officers are likely royalists. I should point out in this period of history, officers were mostly nobles, and that being "raised from the ranks" was taboo and any of these low born officers would be put under constant scrutiny and abuse, disproportionately punished for their failures to the point they might find themselves back in the ranks from a single battle or called traitors for any failures or just circumstances of the battle that weren't in their control. Like with all society, the nobles found themselves in a considerably better position and being an officer became like the old boys club, particularly in the higher ranks, IE: Generals, field marshals. And if anyone tried to take this away from them then they went absolutely nuts, and they had a huge amount of influence... Particularly in the army and government.

Because of these social divides at the time, and the general role of nobles, it does make sense that the royalists have considerable influence in the armies. The military its self has "trouble" written on its forehead, and will be strongly supportive of status quo, wishing the emperor to be an unopposed force and wishing the Lance Empire to retain its name... if that means conquering Numburg, they're probably fine with that
