"A fitting setting...."

There's something....off about Hideki High School. There's always a sense of menace in the air. A cold chill that passes though the spine when one isn't looking. Rumors abound in this mystery school, most of them nothing urban legends and hoaxes. You are a student at Hideki High. And your life is about to dwell into the darker aspects of these poor deprived souls....

"A lost soul...."

A new student. A new face. Shizune Yoshida. She has a disturbing aura about her, one that intimidates and threatens. She knows things. Things that seem impossible. Things about you...and your friends. You accept her, take her in. She's a little on the strange side. Keeping quite. Reciting horrific and gruesome tales. She is your friend.

"An accident..."

A storm. The power goes out. All the staff has left. You're trapped. You. Your friends. And her. There is no way out. You enter....

"Hell."

A nightmare. A place of suffering. Of chaos. Twisted and distorted reflection of our inner selves. She leads the way. She has knowledge of these dark dealings. She is hiding something. Do you trust her?

You must escape. You will survive. Or you will die.

Rules

2. I will control Shizune Yoshida as well as the main monsters along with my co-GM.

4. There is permanent character death. You will not be spared. Read that again for good measure.
5. However, once players have died they can create a monster to incorporate into the story. These monsters can be original creations or a twisted version of your own dead character.

7. Monsters must be subtle scary, disturbing, or unnerving. No cliche blood and gore.

History:
Shizune is a girl who is shrouded in mystery. She speaks very little of the past, instead choosing to focus on the present and the future. As far as anyone knows, she is a simple transfer student that came in the middle of the school year from an unhealthy school district. Despite this, there's something about Shizune.

Something oddly familar, or maybe even reminiscent...just who is she anyway? And why does she know so much about the twisted reality known as The World of Wasted Dreams?

Personality:
Shizune is a quiet girl that speaks very little in direct conversation. An aura of fear and intimidation often follow her around, so she tends to not become involved with any major events. That being said, it is then surprising to see an unwavering devotion and loyalty to her newfound friends, despite having never met them before. She seems to especially express extreme loyalty to the P.O.I.R club president, who's apparently her closest friend. Didn't they just meet a few hours ago?

She has a keen, almost uncanny knowledge of The World of Wasted Dreams and seeks to guide all of her friends back to the light. On that note, there are times when Shizune can appear stoic or just downright disturbing to her fellow peers. She will lament on death and tragedy in a melancholic manner, almost giving her the impression of being heartless towards others.

Furthermore, she seems to enjoy reciting horrific tales or bits of information for the sole purpose of making her friends more aware of their new surroundings or just to creep them out.

Quirks:
-Can appear intimidating and creepy at times.
-Likes to recite melancholic or unnerving lines.
-Looks at the sky too much.
-Has a strong devotion, almost obsession, with protecting her friends.

Likes:
-Happy endings. Anything otherwise is enough to unsettle her.
-The moon. Apparently doesn't care for full moons.
-Books on the paranormal.
-Fruit Punch. Doesn't drink much else.

-The color red. Reasons are currently unknown.

A Little Lore for the Lost Lambs:

P.O.I.R:

The Paranormal and Occult Investigation and Research club, or POIR for short, is a club in Hideki High that's been around for a while now. The students who first joined the club were under the misguided assumption that it would do things like try to summon ghosts, perform spooky rituals and chants, search for boogeymen and play with one of those ouijo-boards. You can thus imagine the let-down and feelings of dashed hopes when they soon found that the current President of the club had no interest at all in such things. Rather, all the President seemed to do was read books on the matter, study trinkets she had somehow acquired and made notes and jotted down memos .- in short, the Club was exactly what its name implied - a place to research and learn about the occult and supernatural.

Most members, after a brief period of time, left the club by resigning. Some were too lazy to do even that and simply stopped coming at all, resulting in the club still having members, albeit mostly ghost-members. Now only a handful of club members remain, including the president. However, with the arrival of the new transfer student to their class, something unexpected occurred. The usually terse President actually went out of her way to invite the newcomer to the club, something of the utmost rarity. Even though the new classmate ultimately refused to join, the President persisted in talking with her, eventually becoming close friends.

To others, the POIR clubroom is a mostly a dull and eerie place, with shelves and books and knick-knacks of strange design and origin, but it's also a treasure-trove of knowledge. In addition, the few club-members that remain know thatwhile sheseems distant and self-absorbed, the President is genuinely a good person and is actually passionate about what she does, she just doesn't show it very much... Or say it very often...

- Closer relation with any other Player Characters also in the club

Kabetake Akane

Kabetake Akane is extremely tall for her age, which makes others uncomfortable, much to her dismay. She has pale, brown eyes and long black hair, both inherited from her mother, while her height comes from her father. Healthily slim and fair-skinned, Akane is know to be very precise about cleaning her face, and it pays off well because she barely has a pimple in sight. Always smiling, even when she is feeling down, and her body is covered in bruises and band-aids from reckless behavior. Both of her ears are heavily pierced.

Normally her school uniform. At home she dresses much more comfortably, wearing sweaters and slippers and sweats, and when she's out she enjoys showing off her legs, so skirts and shorts are a a constant.

History:
The first daughter of a single mother, Akane was taught the hardships of life at a young age. Her mother, a single, hard-working woman, was constantly in and out of the house, leaving her two daughters alone with half-cooked meals and an almost empty apartment. As a result, Akane grew up taking care of Beni, her younger sister. The two grew up together (thankfully, they were only a year apart so they rarely fought), alone, and by the time Akane turned fifteen she was finally fed up with her flake a mother. She got plenty of part-jobs, saved money, and finally moved into an even smaller apartment with her sister and a small bag of belongings in tow.

Her high school life was ordinary, she had friends and enemies, even dated a few guys. Nothing out of the ordinary. Until, one day, when she was feeling rather distant and confused while waiting for her sister to come back from shopping, Akane simply took a safety pin and began poking holes in her ears. Beni came home to a bloodied sister, who was smiling wildly while trying on some of her old earrings.

"Look, look! They fit now! Aren't I cool?" She would ask constantly, to which Beni would reply with a brief nod and a worried glance.

To this day, Akane is still working many part time jobs, and is even more busy now that she is apart of the Karate club. Beni, who is now sixteen, has been coming home more and more to an empty home, but she doesn't mind. As long as her sister came home eventually everything was fine.

Personality:
Despite her heavily pierced ears and height, Akane appears to be a sweet, friendly girl, always wearing a wide smile while being surrounded by groups of people. While her nice, expressive face seems to be the pinnacle of teenage cheerfulness, Akane normally feels distant underneath the facade, and at times will feel rather alone and confused for no apparent reason. She has trouble discovering and speaking about her emotions, and often decides to rather listen then speak during conversations because she simply cannot get her point across.

Easily flustered and annoyed, Akane has trouble dealing with compliments and other people bugging her. She will snap at others if she is upset, and might even resort to psychical violence if she is especially agitated. Her stubbornness also stands out more when she is angry, and if she were to be challenged in this state Akane will definitely not stand down. In classes, though she tries to pay attention, she is rather... Stupid. Tests are often failed and she normally tries to copy homework answers from her friends. However, that does not stop her from being very interested in reading. She especially loves ghost stories and Occult books.

Akane is extremely motherly and loves to take care of others, but has trouble doing the same for herself. At times, Akane has forgotten to eat regularly, and is prone is illness and injury because she is so reckless. Extremely athletic, Akane spends most of her time with the Karate club, and can normally be found in the club room, practicing her stances or punches.

Very empathetic, Akane will at times burst into tears for no reason, especially if she is talking to someone who is upset or frustrated. This empathy is much more similar to mood swings, though, as she will at times just cry or become angry just out of no where, but she doesn't exactly... Feel these emotions. They just so happen to appear through her face and body movements, while on the inside she is still very much distant. This has happened when she is alone too, strangely.

Quirks:

Being very motherly, Akane is often worrying about others and very often will go up to someone she barely knows and ask if they are alright.

When uncomfortable she will play with her hair and scratch her arms and legs.

Slight empathy.

Sometimes stares off into space during conversations.

Likes:
+ Cooking: While she isn't the best, Akane does enjoy cooking for other people, and has fun experimenting with dishes.

+ Karate: It keeps her fit and healthy, as well as teaches her how to defend herself.

+ Kabetake Beni: Akane adores her little sister, and will do anything for her, no matter what. The two share a very close bond and can often be found on weekends together, shopping or chit-chatting around town. They are only related by their mother, though, as they had two different 'fathers'.

+ Scary Anything: Akane loves to scare herself, and especially does so when reading or watching scary movies.

+ Spicy Things: Curry, candies, peppers, anything spicy is adored.

+ Books: Reading is one of Akane's favorite past times, and when she is feeling lonely or bored a book is never far behind.

Dislikes:
- Sweets: She cant handle sweet things, and absolutely hates having to bake or cook anything sweet as she views it as a hassle.

- Classes (Especially Math): Enough said. School isn't Akane's strong point.

- Being Alone: Akane has a complex of being alone, and becomes very depressed if she is left by herself for too long.

- Bugs: Growing up in such a crappy apartment, she often saw cockroaches and spiders crawling across the floor at night, and this eventually turned into a slight phobia.

- Talking to Others Deeply: Talking about feelings, crying in front of a friend, Akane simply cannot handle this. She has to be strong and protect others, and must not let it become the other way around.

- Kabetake Hirono: Beni and Akane's birth mother, a well known stripper and odd-job worker who is constantly looking out for her daughters, though Akane's doesn't realize it. This flake makes Alane writhe in fury whenever she is mentioned or seen.

Name: Aito Shiba

Age: 17

History: Aito doesn't have something in his life someone can call remarkable, he has just gone by life however he could. He does have an incredible mind and intelligence, yes, but it has mostly gone to waste due to his little to no interest in things that are related to school. Since he was young and his potential was discovered, his parents tried to turn the world upside down to make Aito become a genius of his own right, but Aito didn't have the same intentions. Every test put in front of him, be it didactic or whatever, was easy for him, however, he failed all of them on purpose. He just didn't see the point of things like that, and, since they weren't fun, he decided to simply not do them.

It was his right, after all, to decline things he didn't want to do. With crushing logic, his parents eventually gave up on trying to instruct him as a genius. Since then, he has been living a normal life as any other normal kid. Though, he has gotten quite an unhealthy obsession with the paranormal for quite a bit now, but not because he believes in ghosts, rather because he wants to prove that things like that are nothing but the product of the imagination of overactive minds who cannot rest at night and need to ventilate in one way or the other. Even so, he himself has experienced many sleepless nights because of the 'research' he sometimes conducts.

Personality: Someone downright selfish and extremely self-centered, Aito doesn't care for what the person next to him may be, nor does he cares what they think of him. He can also be very rude to others, though most of times it happens, Aito doesn't speak anything but the facts. He can also be described as cold, ruthless and calculator, if by leaving you behind he can see another day, he won't think twice on leaving you, he'll just do it. Due to many of these traits, Aito can be quite an antisocial guy, often being seen alone, but that matters not, as he can proceed with his current investigation. Aito is someone who always tries to keep up a calm demeanor and a 'suave' attitude.

Due to him being alone most of the time, he always carries a book, his mp3 player, a pair of headphones and a game console, so just he doesn't get bored, but be advised, when he gets absorbed into one of these three things, he'll stop paying attention to whatever surrounds him, and whether he can hear you or not, will be a complete mystery for you, though he is indeed listening but just don't want to take any time to pay attention to you.

He can be quite an asshole, but, strangely enough, he values whatever real friends he has, even if they are just a handful. He will still be the same rude piece of ass he always is, but he'll treat you with a little more respect than he would treat anyone else or help you with whatever you need in any way he can. Still, his selfish nature will always prevail over any kind of friendship sentimentalism, or at least he likes to think that. Strangely enough, and maybe because he has read one too many horror stories both on the net and in books, he has quite an irrational fear of death and darkness, though he tries to mask his fear by spouting out random scientifical facts, which sometimes just help make his fear become bigger.

Quirks: He is quite the scaredy cat, even if he doesn't wants to admit it. He carries around a pair of fake eyeglasses, which he sometimes puts on whenever he wants to say something smart, thinking they fit him.

Likes: Videogames, music, books, himself, dogs, paranormal things (even though they scare him).

Dislikes: Stupid people and/or ignorants, darkness, people calling him childish.

Other: He is part of the POIR. He owns 2 dogs, one is a husky named Tsukiyo and the other one is a chihuahua named Ranko, he loves to brag about them whenever he has a chance.
