That's what I was thinking. It would make it more interesting if they end up discovering each others' secrets over the course of the story. :3

@Mad Scarlet: I have used Aidyn one time before, but the roleplay didn't actually get very far, so it's still a bit of a challenge playing someone like Aidyn. And I know the feeling. :D I'm really excited to get into this as well. XP

So, are their gifts unlocked as soon as they step foot into the mansion? ^-^ The crow is supposed to be Devon unknowingly forming a Shadow Being from the darkness in the mansion, but it can just be a regular crow otherwise. I think, from the Interest Check, you mentioned that they get their powers from a crystal?

I literally just remembered that. >.< Woops. xD

They won't receive their abilities immediately. Some traits of the elements may be present because they do have an affinity for them, it's what allows them to develop their powers anyway, but it won't be anything too supernatural. Nixie's colder-than-normal skin is kind of a perfect presentation of this. :3 The 'crystals' will really be what the scientists developed to store the energy that they had been using to try and trigger these abilities in soldiers during the Cold War. Calling them crystals is a bit of a misnomer, but it is what a bunch of middle-schoolers would come up with.

I'm having fun. It is very interesting and a change of pace from my other role plays! Playing a younger character for one.

It's definitely interesting. I just may not post constantly since I'm currently GMing two RP's, and my summer is starting. Sorry about that. ^^

@Rarity: Glad to hear it. :D I like how our characters are opposite elements, but so far seem to get along pretty well. I also imagine them to be about the same size, which is interesting because opposite elements are usually as different as night and day. :P

@Soul: That's fine. :3 As I remarked several times before, I get busy at times too.

But they also say opposite's attract, so maybe they can become really good friends. Their elements will be useful for each other too. Like if she accidentally sets fire to something, Nixie can put it out.

Have you ever seen H20: Just Add Water? It is where these humans are given mermaid powers (tail when they get wet, elemental powers) They have water and ice and fire as the main powers. They can use the ice power to cool down person's body temp, like if someone has a fever, or to heat up a body temp. Can our guys do stuff like that? Do they need water/ice/fire to do things, or can they create water/ice/fire out of nothing?

Do we have a list of exactly what we can do with our powers?

I have a mermaid RP that I GM similar to the show I mentioned and I found these wikis to be useful with getting ideas.

Fire Manipulation

Water Manipulation/Ice

Dark Manipulation

Light Manipulation

Earth Manipulation

Air Manipulation

Some of the powers mentioned might be too overpowered, but some of them could be useful.

That might be useful; Aidyn could very likely start a fire without meaning to when her emotions run wild, as they tend to do. ;)

As for the show, I've heard of it, but never watched it. But, yes, the powers can be used for more than just controlling the element, and they can create the element they control.

I love the Superpower Wiki too. :D It's such a wonderful site! I was thinking that the elements would be more like the site has them, but I hadn't thought about putting them on a list. That's a really good idea! Of course, it goes without saying that they'll start off small and work their way up. ;)

Good, that all makes perfect sense. Hopefully the wiki will be useful to everyone else as well.
