Alright, so welcome to the official Out of Character discussion threat for the Halo: WE ARE ODST RolePlay. Firstly, I’d like to thank you for your interest in this RolePlay. As a personal fanatic of the Halo Universe, running a Halo themed RP is something that I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and I’m happy that you’ll be joining me for this. For this incarnation of this RP, Nallore will be joining me as a Co-GM, helping me to run things, and serving as a partner to bounce ideas off of so that things remain fresh, exciting, and enthralling. If things run the way I think they will, then we’re all going to be having a decent amount of fun with this RP.

That said, I should probably get to what you’re here for, the process of Character Creation.

Now, as this RP is centered around the actions of a group of ODSTs(Orbital Drop Shock Troopers), I’d ask that for your primary character, you create an ODST. All of our ODSTs will be part of a Marine Special Operations Detachment, codenamed Ghost. We’re going to see this Detachment assigned missions across the Halo Universe, with varying objectives, but the over-arcing theme will obviously be the Human-Covenant war.

I’m going to be listing all of the pre-generated characters for this RP down below, I’ll list which characters are my PC(Primary Character), and which are Nallore’s; as well as which characters are NPCs(Non-Player Characters). This will also allow you to better get an idea of where your character fits in with the rest of the other characters. And, when your character is approved, I’ll add him/her to the list to serve as a database. Editing said character is always welcome, so long as it doesn’t interfere with what has been established within the canon of our own RP. IE, if your character appears in our RP as a male, and you decide you want to change them to female, that won’t be accepted. You’ll be welcomed to kill said character off, or reassign said character if you don’t want them to die, and then create a new character to replace them within the squad.

Firstly though, I’ll show you the kind of information you will need for your character to be accepted as a member of the Detachment.

Biography: Captain Ramsey was born in Fort Worth, Texas on Earth. His father was an engineer, and his mother a high school teacher. He is the product of an upbringing that is more traditional, than modern. At an early age, Ramsey expressed an interest in the exploration of space, and was accepted into an early entrance program with the UNSC Navy. His career has seen service aboard all manner of UNSC space craft, as well as it’s fair share of combat with the Covenant. Though he has commanded larger ships in the past, most recently the UNSC Silent Chorus, an advanced Destroyer; Ramsey has admitted to preferring posts aboard smaller, older ships, ferrying special operators to and from missions. As such, he has found his way to the command of the UNSC Wayward Wanderer, an older Mako-Class Corvette.

Description: An Elite Special Operations Unit made up of the finest that the UNSC Marine Corps has to offer. Personality: Jameson is the very picture of calm, cool, and collected. He is surprisingly informal in terms of what can be considered appropriate protocol. His loyalty to the Corps and the men serving under him is unquestionable, and he is confident in their abilities.
Biography: The result of careless young love, Robert’s parents weren’t married when he was born. In fact for a while, his parents were considering abortion, but were convinced otherwise by a close family friend, whom Robert is named for. In birth, his mother died due to complications. Though his father might admit to not wanting to raise a child at first, he eventually wound up a caring and nurturing parent. Robert however still went through a phase of rebellion against his father, and found himself involved in a life of petty crime, and in 2528 he was arrested and convicted of armed robbery. Facing a mandatory jail sentence, Robert’s father pleaded an alternate course for his son, and Robert found himself conscripted into the UNSC Marine Corps. Boot camp and training were rough for Robert, but he somehow managed to make it through. It wasn’t until his first combat action against the Covenant that he found himself, and grew out of his reckless attitude. Since then, he’s served with great distinction and bravery, eventually being reassigned into a Marine Special Operations Detachment, that he would later go on to lead.

Personality: Perhaps the most defining feature of him is his unshakeable loyalty. He's shown a great many times that he will obey almost any order sent his way... Even if it involved killing civilians. Steven has an unconditional hatred of the Covenant. His devotion to the mission at hand and willingness to obey whatever order that is required to complete it, made him an excellent choice for special ops. He views himself as the squads own military police; It's Jameson's job to lead and his to ensure the rest of the squad stays in line. As such, he can come across as a bit of a hardass and a jar head, but he's devoted to the unit and he'd be there to charge in and pull you out of a burning wreck if you needed him. He has a tendency to lean towards sarcastic humor whenever he does make a joke or to jab at people.
Biography: Born on Harvest before the covenant invasion, Steven was of British and American descent, having an American mother but a British father.

His parents couldn't have had more different political belief. His mother was a strong supporter of the resistance movements and stood on the left wing, yet his father was a strong supporter of the UNSC and stood on the right wing. Steven rarely paid attention to any politics until he was 10, after which he took some interest in his mother and fathers differing world views, though he never really made a decision on the subject.
Whatever his thoughts were at the time, the invasion of Harvest settled it all for him. While the Covenant glassed harvest and butchered the planet, who was it that tried to rescue them? The UNSC. Who was it who stood against the Covenant? The UNSC. It was that moment he became cemented in his support of the UNSC, believing that humanity needed to stand together against this... evil. The destruction of Harvest and the Deaths of his parents would play a major role in his life choices from here on.

As a result of this, he signed up for the marines as soon as he could, joining right out of high school. It was the only choice that really made sense for him, the Covenant had tried to destroy his future and now he wanted to have a shot at theirs.

Personality: Jace is generally upbeat and joyous. He tries to find the best out of every situation and likes to give quirky comments during most situations especially if they're bad ones. Despite his seemingly open nature, Jace doesn't often talk about himself much. He prefers to keep the topic of conversation away from himself and his past especially. Biography: Jace was born on the 3rd of April 2525 on the planet Victoria. His childhood was a mixture of constant Insurrectionist Propaganda and the threat of Covenant attack. At age 10, Jason was left orphaned when a munitions truck of an Insurrectionist Recruitment Convoy suddenly exploded, immediately killing both of his parents and injuring his older brother, who had planned to join their cause since he was 17 at the time. Broken and alone, with an injured older brother whose only care was joining the Rebels, Jason ended up in an orphanage. He very much kept to himself during his stay there, including the fact that he despised the Innies for their part in the deaths of his parents. At the age of 16 he signed up for the UNSC Army. He was immediately shipped off planet and spent the following months on board the UNSC Dauntless in Cryo Sleep as he was transported to Earth. He landed in Africa, where he was taken to UNSC B Training Facility to begin his military career.

Biography: Lance's father and mother met at a bar on coral when he was stationed at base on the planet, they fell in love instantly and within the next month they were married and his mother was pregnant with him. Shortly after his birth his mother was pregnant again with his little sister who was born a couple of days before their father was transferred onto the UNSC frigate Spirit of Fire and transferred to harvest.

As Lance would later find out his father would die in the battle of harvest but they didn't tell them till later he just kind of stopped writing and calling them, his mother sad and depressed sent her two kids away Lance to Military academy and Emily to fleet school and took her own life with the pistol her husband used to keep this brought overwhelming sadness into Lances life but a fellow cadet told him that smiles and laughter can cure everything leading to his jokester nature and giving him hope

At Age 18 Lance graduated and enlisted in UNSC Marine Corps service, selecting to receive ODST training to which he excelled. He later earned himself a spot on a squad that was moved from planet to planet in the wake of the covenant invasions. Eventually at 22 years old he participated in his first battle the battle of Sargasso where the intelligence he gathered saved many men but not his squad he was transferred around for a little while till at age 26 he ended up where he is now.

Personality: Generally a hard-ass when on mission or when training, Evan is a military boy through and through. When relaxing or in the cafeteria though, he is care-free, and quite polite and witty when off break.
Biography: Due to early labor, Evan McCoy was born while in the back of a military class warthog while his mother and father were fixing the turret on Sword Base, earning his nickname of "Gatling Baby", which over the years turned to just Gatling. His parents raised him as a soldier boy, both soldiers among many on Reach, making young Even target practice with toy guns from the age of five. At the young age of 8, his father, Drill Sgt. Cassidy was killed while earlier making a buddle of his cadets jog through the forests of Reach by a stray Guta. Heartbroken his mother never loved again, promising to be widowed rather to marry another man. Young McCoy did what he could to help his mother, always cleaning and tidying up the house to make her job easier. On 2525, at the age of Ten, his mother told him of the covenant, referring them to, 'Monsters,' scaring and also making him promise to join the UNSC marines to help try and stop them. The young boy promised his distressed mother and at the age 16 he enlisted.

His mother moved to the city of New Alexandria, serving as a medic for the local security police forces there for a living. There in the recruits he met his wife, Martha McCoy, both growing quite fond of each other and developing a relationship under the harsh training. They both worked on patrols around Reach, keeping the peace from drunks settlers, tightening security incase of signs of stray Guta, or shooting off Moa who were eating the crops of farmers among the small hillside settlements. His most noble deed noted while on security detail however was what got him to his rank of Lance corporal, and got him to lead his squad on patrols. On 2535 a insurrectionist operation raided on one of the small towns to try and make a small outpost on it. McCoy's patrol was there at the time, and tried and repel the raid, making a blockade to the town center. His commanding officer made half the squad stay, hold the line, and make sure the citizens stay in doors while the other half scouted out the innies to see their numbers while also evacing any civies away to the town square. McCoy was in charge of this fireteam of five men and women, leading them through the evac farmsteads to look over for any signs of innies or civies via in warthog transport. However as they neared one of the forests located in the town, they were ambushed by machine gun fire from the tree line, forcing them behind the warthog. Improvising quickly, McCoy ordered his men to pop some smoke grenades so they could flank them. The plan proved successful as they made beeline for the trees, quickly firing and eliminating the ambush party there. As they finished their firefight, they scouted up through the forest, looking for any signs of information when the other squad radioed them in, reporting that the Commanding officer was dead by sniper fire and that they were running low on ammo. McCoy told them to hold the line, quickly ordering Martha to stick with him while he sent the rest of his squad back to the warthog to provide support while they routed out the sniper. As they followed the trail to their base hideout, a few hours later they caught site of there hideout, the sniper crouched down and firing at the patrol, his spotter beside him. They both fired on the pair, the spotter dropping instantly under the paired battle rifle and SAW fire, the sniper quickly following afterwards. After this brave act and quick thinking of getting most of the men out alive he was awarded the rank Lance Corporal, afterwards proposing to Martha. In 2535 He was transferred to 305th Scouting Division where he fought off covenant forces on the ground, seeing many a men die of plasma bolt, splatter the walls with grenade, and more. In 2544 he was offered to join ODST- Ghost Spec. Ops division. He accepted.

Biography: Allie Acosta was born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, California to a middle-class family. Her father pushed her to be an actress, her mother pushed her to be a nurse. When her older brother was killed in action she enlisted as an E-3 in the UNSC Navy as a Corpsman and was sent to basic training then sent to Fort Sam Houston, TX where she conducted her medical training as corpsman in the Navy. She graduated top of her class and was assigned the 105th Shock Troops Division but was sent to work in a clinic for two years because she lacked the training and experience needed to go on combat missions. She excelled in the clinic and worked closely with doctors, nurses, and surgeons. She was one of the hardest working corpsmen in the clinic and her command loved her. She worked sick call, gave immunizations, updated medical readiness, and screened patients for her providers. She earned Corpsman of the Month and other honors while serving in the clinic. Because of her fitness level on the PT test, she was selected to go through special operations training courses in the Marine Corps. She succeeded in her special operation schools and training and graduated as an ODST. Shortly after she was promoted to Corporal and assigned UNSC Marine Special Operations Detachment Ghost.

Personality: Robert is viewed as a clear-headed, incorruptible bastion of the corp. Biography: Robert Golovkin was an orphan survivor from planet Jericho VII, an outer colony in the Lambda Serpentis system that was glassed by the Covenant in 2535. He was given the opportunity to enlist into the SPARTAN-III project, but was denied candidacy due to mental and health complications. He was relocated to a UNSC Health Facility at a colony world called New Harmony. There, he was diagnosed with PTSD, and spent two years in careful rehabilitation while undergoing a series of reconstructive surgeries. During this time he fell in love with a patient named, Cheyenne Ramirez, a “glass orphan” from Eridanus II. They married when Robert turned 21, and Cheyenne gave birth to their only son, Elijah Golovkin, a year after their marriage. Due to "irreparable differences," they eventually separated. She was granted full custody of Elijah.

Robert was conscripted into service by the UNSC Marine Corp at age 18. From E2-BAG/1/7 Charlie Company, to helljumping into the 105th Division, Robert has seen his fair share of battles against the covenant forces, but that doesn't mean he's had his fill. With the reassignment into Ghost Detachment, Robert hopes to keep "mowin' down covies" until he's "swimmin' in bones."

Personality: John has two different personalities depending on what situation he is in. Usually he tries to keep cool and have a laugh with everyone but that can change very quickly if the situation turns dire. He usually acts rather serious during combat and prefers to take a slow safe option rather than a quick and dangerous one.
Biography: John was born in Leeds, England. The start of his life was a normal one. He went to a public school near his home and generally got good grades. His home life was pretty good, his older sister took care of him and his smaller brother up until the point where she moved out. As John grew he discovered an affinity for English and regularly read as much as possible. He studied English at university and went on to become an English teacher in a high school near his hometown. Things got a bit rocky though when his brother died while in combat. He felt an enormous amount of rage about his brothers death which sent him into a depression shortly after. He made the brash and hasty decision to join the UNSC marine core a few days after his brothers death, much to the protest of just about everyone except his brother.
The training was brutal and a lot worse for John as the instructor had taken an innate disliking to 'his four eyed face'. John came out of it a better and stronger man though and was sent to the front lines to fight the covenant. He also met his soon to be wife during his training. They both went to the front lines together and essentially kept each other alive. He and Marie quickly excelled through the ranks and were eventually both promoted into the ODST. They quickly married just before joining the ODST. He used stealth and demolitions in most missions and became proficient with both while his wife was a bit louder and carried heavier weapons like shotguns and grenade launchers. His wife was killed on a mission to escort civilians off of a covenant invaded country. This sent John into yet another depression which he came out of a month before being promoted to sergeant.

Personality &Bio: Mark by most of his family and friends is known as a fun, crazy and outgoing individual, and also one who cares a lot for his younger siblings. But a lot of that changed when he was 19 and his parents died from a Covenant attack while on vacation. Mark and his siblings survived by mere luck, with Mark having been able to grab his siblings and hide under some debris until the covenant were all gone. This situation not only shook him, making me a far more quite and reserved individual (the only side of him seen by his ODST and Marine friends) but was also what motivated him to join the UNSC, hoping he could help prevent what had happened to his own family.

Before joining the UNSC he was in college learning how to become a computer programmer, so he had some basic understanding on computer code when he joined. His life was very typical and relaxed where he mainly spent his childhood hanging out with friends, getting part time work where he could for some extra spending money and looking after his brother and sister on the days his parents were held up late at work. At UNSC all that his squad mate’s know about him his the fact he has two little siblings waiting at home for him, and that he fancies a lot of time in his quarters on his computer, seemingly cut-off from the happenings of other's around him. Though he does score top grades in marksmanship and above average in military tactics.

Biography: Tuckk was Born and raised on Jericho VII till the age of 7 upon the planet was attacked by the covenant and glassed (2535) he along with his father and sister managed to get away and found refuge in a mars mining colony. His Mother was Not on planet when it was attacked as she was working with ONI on Reach. After seeing all the death and destruction Tuckk wanted to join the Military and aid the defense of humanity.
As soon as he got the chance at age 16 (2544) he enlisted with the Marines completing basic and being positioned on reach defending a small cluster of deep space communication outposts at the age of 18. (2548) in the fifth month of his tour, the outpost was attacked leaving his entire squad dead. Personality: In short, Victoria is pretty much dedicated to preserving the lives of her peers on the field. Biography: Born to a military family stationed in Brazil, she had been pretty much coaxed to join the military her entire life. Luckily, she didn't really go against their wishes, as she had quite the interest in joining the military as well. Going to school at a local Academy, she discovered her interest in medicine, and originally intended to sign on with the Navy to be a doctor posted on a ship. However, word of the atrocities of war and how many preventable fatalities there were devastated Victoria, and from then on, she changed her mind, set on becoming a marine so she could become a combat medic. She first completed her medical training with the Navy, before transferring to the Marines to complete combat training.

After she completed her Marine training, she was posted onto the 301st Mobility Battalion, where she would be a combat medic. The turning point of her career was during a campaign on the planet of Verent, where she bravely went in and tended to her squad under the intense pressure of enemy gunfire. She managed to save all of their lives, and was commended to join the ODSTs, just before Verent was glassed. She was then briefly put on a stint with a reconnaissance team sent to various planets before being reassigned to the GHOST detachment.

Biography: Patrick spent the majority of his life on the inner-colony world of Tribute, working alongside his father in a small machine shop. Life was relatively quiet until UEG buildings became the targets of terror-bombing, dictating the appearance of the Insurrection on the planet. With his parents forbidding him from leaving their home, his social life deteriorated. The spare time he used to spend with his friends was now spent alone. With little to occupy him, Patrick devoted most of his attention to machinery. In a few years he had become a capable mechanic.
He enlisted in the UNSC Marines shortly after high school, much to the displeasure of his family, and was found to be a capable Combat Engineer. Patrick’s skills were apparently better suited for combat, however, and he found himself drafted into an Armored Company. While he was clearly no tanker, he spent plenty of time getting to know the many vehicles the UNSC fielded. As such, he has become rather capable with operating plenty ground-based vehicles, although he aspires to eventually fly a Pelican.
Once again, however, his combat experience preceded him. He was taken into ODST training after his expertise with close-quarters combat was enough to get him recommended by his CO, and soon he found himself drafted into Fireteam Ghost.

Biography: Born on Harvest before the covenant invasion, Steven was of British and American descent, having an American mother but a British father.
His parents couldn't have had more different political belief. His mother was a strong supporter of the resistance movements and stood on the left wing, yet his father was a strong supporter of the UNSC and stood on the right wing. Steven rarely paid attention to any politics until he was 10, after which he took some interest in his mother and fathers differing world views, though he never really made a decision on the subject.
Whatever his thoughts were at the time, the invasion of Harvest settled it all for him. While the Covenant glassed harvest and butchered the planet, who was it that tried to rescue them? The UNSC. Who was it who stood against the Covenant? The UNSC. It was that moment he became cemented in his support of the UNSC, believing that humanity needed to stand together against this... evil. The destruction of Harvest and the Deaths of his parents would play a major role in his life choices from here on.
As a result of this, he signed up for the marines as soon as he could, joining right out of high school. It was the only choice that really made sense for him, the Covenant had tried to destroy his future and now he wanted to have a shot at theirs.

Personality: Generally a hard-ass when on mission or when training, Evan is a military boy through and through. When relaxing or in the cafeteria though, he is care-free, and quite polite and witty when off break.
Bio: Due to early labor, Evan McCoy was born while in the back of a military class warthog while his mother and father were fixing the turret on Sword Base, earning his nickname of "Gatling Baby", which over the years turned to just Gatling. His parents raised him as a soldier boy, both soldiers among many on Reach, making young Even target practice with toy guns from the age of five. At the young age of 8, his father, Drill Sgt. Cassidy was killed while earlier making a buddle of his cadets jog through the forests of Reach by a stray Guta. Heartbroken his mother never loved again, promising to be widowed rather to marry another man. Young McCoy did what he could to help his mother, always cleaning and tidying up the house to make her job easier. On 2525, at the age of Ten, his mother told him of the covenant, referring them to, 'Monsters,' scaring and also making him promise to join the UNSC marines to help try and stop them. The young boy promised his distressed mother and at the age 16 he enlisted.
His mother moved to the city of New Alexandira, serving as a medic for the local security police forces there for a living. There in the recruits he met his wife, Martha McCoy, both growing quite fond of each other and developing a relationship under the harsh training. They both worked on patrols around Reach, keeping the peace from drunks settlers, tightening security incase of signs of stray Guta, or shooting off Moa who were eating the crops of farmers among the small hillside settlements. His most noble deed noted while on security detail however was what got him to his rank of Lance corporal, and got him to lead his squad on patrols. On 2535 a insurrectionist operation raided on one of the small towns to try and make a small outpost on it. McCoy's patrol was there at the time, and tried and repel the raid, making a blockade to the town center. His commanding officer made half the squad stay, hold the line, and make sure the citizens stay in doors while the other half scouted out the innies to see their numbers while also evacing any civies away to the town square. McCoy was in charge of this fireteam of five men and women, leading them through the evac farmsteads to look over for any signs of innies or civies via in warthog transport. However as they neared one of the forests located in the town, they were ambushed by machine gun fire from the tree line, forcing them behind the warthog. Improvising quickly, McCoy ordered his men to pop some smoke grenades so they could flank them. The plan proved successful as they made beeline for the trees, quickly firing and eliminating the ambush party there. As they finished their firefight, they scouted up through the forest, looking for any signs of information when the other squad radioed them in, reporting that the Commanding officer was dead by sniper fire and that they were running low on ammo. McCoy told them to hold the line, quickly ordering Martha to stick with him while he sent the rest of his squad back to the warthog to provide support while they routed out the sniper. As they followed the trail to their base hideout, a few hours later they caught site of there hideout, the sniper crouched down and firing at the patrol, his spotter beside him. They both fired on the pair, the spotter dropping instantly under the paired battle rifle and SAW fire, the sniper quickly following afterwards. After this brave act and quick thinking of getting most of the men out alive he was awarded the rank Lance Corporal, afterwards proposing to Martha. In 2535 He was transferred to 305th Scouting Division where he fought off covenant forces on the ground, seeing many a men die of plasma bolt, splatter the walls with grenade, and more. In 2544, after he was promoted to corporal he was offered to join ODST- Ghost Spec. Ops division. He accepted.

Personality: Tuckk is your cool and calm sort of guy, being trained as a sniper he isn't one to panic nor is he one to dawdle on decisions. he knows every second counts and will use his time effectively. He has never Disobeyed orders and will try to follow the mission brief to the letter if possible.
To those whom he works with he is quite chatty and loves to joke, but those out of his squad and yet to prove to him that they can be trusted he is quiet and reluctant to engage with the in any social activities.

Timeline of historical events/ Biography: Tuckk was Born and raised on Jericho VII till the age of 7 upon the planet was attacked by the covenant and glassed (2535) he along with his father and sister managed to get away and found refuge in a mars mining colony. His Mother was Not on planet when it was attacked as she was working with ONI on Reach. After seeing all the death and destruction Tuckk wanted to join the Military and aid the defense of humanity.
As soon as he got the chance at age 16 (2544) he enlisted with the Marines completing basic and being positioned on reach defending a small cluster of deep space communication outposts at the age of 18. (2548) in the fifth month of his tour, the outpost was attacked leaving his entire squad dead. He radioed for reinforcements but decided that they would take to long to get here and set out with a wounded leg to stop this attack, With his sniper he killed all the remaining insurrectionist, ultimately saving that station. After a two month of rehabilitation, his CO put him forward to train with the ODST's and ultimately he passed.

What happens if only one squad is filled out? That's a lot of people to expect.
Also, not to nitpick, but I'd recommend you use a different term than "fireteam" for this force, because in military terminology, a fireteam is a small number of troops (4+), which when paired (Army) or tripled (Marines) together, make a squad.

Following UNSC organization, you could call it a "combat team," which is two squads totalling 16-24 men in all. But I really doubt you'll have that many people and a single squad may be more realistic. I'm also of the opinion that anything above E-6 is a rather high rank for this composition.

Personality: John has two different personalities depending on what situation he is in. Usually he tries to keep cool and have a laugh with everyone but that can change very quickly if the situation turns dire. He usually acts rather serious during combat and prefers to take a slow safe option rather than a quick and dangerous one.
Biography: John was born in Leeds, England. The start of his life was a normal one. He went to a public school near his home and generally got good grades. His home life was pretty good, his older sister took care of him and his smaller brother up until the point where she moved out. As John grew he discovered an affinity for English and regularly read as much as possible. He studied English at university and went on to become an English teacher in a highschool near his hometown. Things got a bit rocky though when his brother died while in combat. He felt an enourmous amount of rage about his brothers death which sent him into a depression shortly after. He made the brash and hasty decision to join the UNSC marine core a few days after his brothers death, much to the protest of just about everyone except his brother.

The training was brutal and a lot worse for John as the instructor had taken an innate disliking to 'his four eyed face'. John came out of it a better and stronger man though and was sent to the front lines to fight the covenant. He also met his soon to be wife during his training. They both went to the front lines together and essentially kept each other alive. He and Marie quickly excelled through the ranks and were eventually both promoted into the ODST. They quickly married just before joining the ODST. He used stealth and demolitions in most missions and became proficient with both while his wife was a bit louder and carried heavier weapons like shotguns and grenade launchers. His wife was killed on a mission to escort civillians off of a covenant invaded country. This sent John into yet another depression which he came out of a month before being promoted to sergeant.

The wiki says the MA5D was standard issue post-war, the BR85HB SR and M395 were used post-war. I'd expect the M45D to be the same. The M6H pistol was standard-issue five years after the RP. Wouldn't expect any of those to be in use in '50, and in great numbers if at all.

Weapons can have a very long life span, just look at the M16. Its fully possible any of those guns existed in 2550. Regardless, doesn't the wiki state when it entered service? I know it states when covenant equipment appeared through their naming conventions, isn't there something similar for UNSC weapons? Or have we never been told that?

Also, Halo Reach era gear would be the same sort as CE, two and three. They all take place within quick succession of one another, barely spanning a few months in total. I find it difficult to believe that any gear we were using in Reach would have been phased out so quickly. And there's only two years from this RP to those games.

Having so many different models over the course of the series makes it a pain to identify when each first came into use. Most wiki entries for the ARs and BRs specify the starting year of service, others are more ambiguous. Likewise, different models appear to be standard issue for different branches:

-The MA5B assault rifle, Marine standard issue from the 2520's until the Fall of Reach and the Battle of Installation 04.
-The MA5C assault rifle, Marine standard issue from the Battle of Earth through the end of the Human-Covenant war.
-The MA37 assault rifle, Army standard issue from 2437 through the Fall of Reach.
-The MA5K carbine, a modified variant used by SpecWar teams.
-The MA5D assault rifle, in use by 2557.

-The BR55 Battle Rifle is a gas-operated, magazine-fed, mid-to-long range weapon capable of semi-automatic and burst-firing modes. Prototypes of the BR55 existed as early as 2524, and were later used in 2525 during the fall of Harvest. By 2548 it had superseded the M392 Designated Marksman Rifle in use in all branches of the military with exception of the Army.

-The BR55HB SR is a select-fire rifle first fielded in 2548 as an improved variant of the BR55 Battle Rifle. The BR55HB SR was designed to further improve on the exemplary performance of its predecessor, which had seen service for over 27 years, the entire duration of the Human-Covenant War.

Either BR seems okay to use; I'd assume most frontline units have upgraded to the BR55HB SR. As for the ARs, it seems most plausible to be armed with the MA5B, as the Battle of Earth hasn't happened yet, and we're a Marines branch. MA5K seems likely too, being a spec ops carbine. That said, the MA2B also looks like fair game.

The thing is though those weapons were on the Forward Unto Dawn (not the show) but the ship the Chief was on before it crash in Requiem, the Dawn was in service during Halo 3 and so that's my thinking of it. But it's not a big deal to me use the human weapons from Reach, 1,2 and 3. And the team is special forces so they should get their hands on better tech, there isn't that long of a gap between 2550-2557.
