Roland pointed a finger of his own in response to Alex's accusations against him regarding his heroic message to the entire student body. Didn't he know that this sort of thing was his job as a hero?!

"HOLD IT! I didn't do anything to start any fights at all! I was only challenging any evil people or criminal elements in the school, y'know! If they responded they'd have to be evil or a criminal, so I'm just doing my job as a member of the security team like I'm supposed to be doing!" Suddenly Roland paused as if struggling with deep thought and trying to get to a difficult conclusion. After a few moments his eyes suddenly blazed with an inner mental fire, though smoke was just as likely to come pouring out of his ears as a result "Waiiiiiit just a second! YOU responded to my challenge against criminals and evildoers to face me, and you abandoned your job for the security team so that must mean...You're secretly a criminal evildoer! TAKE THAT!"

Roland was reeling from this sudden revelation as he generated a swirling fire collecting on the tip of his once again pointing finger as he raised it at Alex and shouted. But of course, one of his own team must clearly be the very evil he sought! That sort of shocking and unexpected betrayal happened all the time for heroes in his position whenever they least expected. Sure, these things usually happened towards the end of a story as a climactic twist, but when would it be less expected than right now!? The perfect crime!

"What a stunning narrative. As usual, your spirit for justice knows no bounds."

A sigh emanated out from Shuugen as he exited the library, a single hand rubbing his forehead in exasperation. "Though, you should know by now that the evildoers aren't the kind to come out and accept your valiant challenge. They lurk in the shadows cast by your flame, waiting for the perfect chance to strike...or something like that. Eh, I don't have the flair for the dramatic you've got, so you'll have to forgive my lack of stage presence."

"Anyhow, you should probably tone this whole 'weekly challenge' deal down a bit, right? You're disrupting the student populace a little bit, you know."

"I-I'm fine," Miku replied, straightening out her uniform and moving her bass onto her back, rather than protectively cradling it as she would with someone else, "Practice went w-well."

It was strange to think that a girl who could sing so confidently had such enormous difficulty simply holding a conversation with a friend of hers--but she did, and it wasn't entirely unheard of for her to use her contract to hold a conversation instead long enough that she could get away and go back to doing something that didn't really require speaking with other people. She enjoyed such times, which were thee sort of thing that made her more than glad to have such a boisterous contract.

Those when Heracles was the one trying to talk to her weren't so much, even if she'd known the hero for years.

Sakura's smile broadened as Miku replied to her, and she leaned forward slightly in her wheelchair. Miku was so shy, it was kind of cute... and yet she was pretty talented musically. There was no denying that even if she had wanted to. It was nice to hear that practice had gone so well. Certainly, Sakura's club had gone well even though it required much less in the way of training. It still did require playing the games well, which Sakura felt she had done. Still, for the moment... she leaned back into her wheelchair and smiled happily.

"I'm glad to hear it, Miku-chan," she began, "I think Arti-chan will be out soon..."

"Do you know what this flower is, old friend?" The monk squat before a small green shrub, the occasional cream coloured flower head lining the top of it. A growl which sounded more like a contemplative hum came from his right, the answer to Ten's question. The faint smile which he wore most of the time became a full blown grin. "Correct, Protea Caffra! As expected of you, Four." The monk stood, turning to face the creature which he had contracted with not a year ago.

The Qilin was a large creature, a bit bigger than a horse in most respects and somewhat serpentine in shape. Its thunderous blue eyes remained locked on the Protea shrub, as if still thinking something over. Ten reached up to the mystical creature, scratching and scuffling its wild blue mane; the Qilin's intense eyes shut, letting out an appreciative noise. Gardening club had ended a few minutes ago, but he remained behind. It was ritual for Ten to take time and look around the vast garden, to see what changes had come to the place after the club parted ways. The changes were always minimal, but over the course of a few days it was interesting to see what would become what.

"Diversity and courage - that's what the Protea represents. Appropriate for this island and its inhabitants, don't you think?" With that small thought, Ten and Four left the garden and made for the gates.

Each time Ten moved around the Academy, he could feel the lingering looks some people would give them. Not that he could exactly blame them, his choice of clothing and appearance were not exactly of the norm after all, and it was certainly eye-catching. A bright robe, prayer beads and a down right reflective bald head did little to help. Such was the case just now when he joined the tide of students leaving the school grounds. They could at least ask how his day was going, that'd be polite.

Speaking of politeness, Ten weaved his way around an oncoming, sword wielding, member of the schools security team with a bit of a start. Were he not an avid practitioner of Tai Chi Chuan, then his rear would have most likely been introduced to hard ground. Putting it behind him, Ten left the gates of the academy and walked towards his home, giant hovering dogdragonhorse at his side.

Alex sighed and shook his head. Roland's logic was...definitely something. The blond boy slammed the tip of Excalibur against the ground, before resting his hands on the pommel.

"Objection!" He exclaimed, a grin forming on his face. Sure, the other boy's reasoning didn't exactly make much sense, it was a bit early in the semester for that sort of betrayal, after all, but playing along was more interesting than standing around watching nothing interesting happen. "There's a massive flaw in your logic! While it's true that you declared a challenge to any evildoers, you also called out for friends and love interests. In other words, any character with a remotely relevant role in this story could've responded!"

"Besides, between the shouting and trying to pick fights, I don't think coming here really counts as abandoning my job."
