Karina Prescott sat with her arms folded against the desk and her leg crossed over the other. She was here like all the other students chosen for Project K. Her eyes scanned the classroom, and out of the ten students she could see a few faces that she recognized. Once the teacher at the front of the classroom cleared her throat to speak, Karina averted her attention back to her. She was sort of eager to know what Project K was all about.

"Good morning students..." The teacher spoke clearly. "As you are well aware, those of you sitting in the classroom have been selected to participate in the project for extra credit."

Outside of the classroom, unaware to the students, were the children who were participating in the project with the kindergarten teacher watching over them. They were told to wait outside the classroom while the teacher explained the project to the other students.

Liam was sitting at a desk in the back corner of the room. His earphones were hidden in his hood, like in class. When the teacher started to talk, he kept his music on but took one of the earbuds out.

Ryder leaned back in his seat, his arms crossed. He looked around the room and the room was almost strained with silence. Apparently, everyone was looking forward to finding out whatever this project actually was. He didn't entirely care, as long as he didn't screw it up and was able to maintain a decent enough grade, he would pass for the year and even be able to graduate.

This would be one hell of a project to boost his grade enough to allow him to graduate, that's for sure.

Nadia was listening attentively to the teacher when she started to speak. The extra credit would be a good addition to her records as she badly wanted to enter a good university. She was also quite interested in whatever 'Project K' could be and smiled as she thought of it and pushed up her glasses a little as it slipped down her nose a little.

Oliver leaned back in his desk, half-listening to the teacher. He really was only here for the grade improvement, because he knew if he made a bad enough grade, he'd be kicked off of the football team for sure, and there would go his scholarship. To say the least, he wasn't the most enthused for this, despite his usual upbeat nature.

He finally moved his chair back to its normal position and propped up his chin with his fist, deciding to give a little more of his attention to the teacher.

Bret sat straight in his seat, he was wondering what this Project K, would actually be. He fiddled with his hands a bit, while diverting most of his attention to the teacher. They were acting quite ominous about it in Bret's mind. This must be something difficult.

Bernadette looked down on the open notebook on her desk in the back corner of the room. She paid attention to the teacher talking about the somewhat mysterious Project K. "What is this? Like I know what it is...kind of...It's a thing for extra credit, but...what do we do exactly?" she thought to herself. She looked up and saw that the other ladies were somewhat eager about the project while the men seemed neutral about all this.

Anne waited and waited outside' how long does it take I want to meet my new buddies' she thought looking at the door excitedly she never liked to wait and being still was not her thing. She saw two boys in her class here and two other girls, ' how much fun this will be ' she thought but sat there staring at the door.

"Now, let me explain to you all what Project K is. It's a new project that we created for students who really need extra credit, and also for a different learning experience. Each of you will be in charge of a kindergarten child to serve as his or hers temporary parent. Or should I say, parents. I have assigned each of you a partner you will be working with. Both of you will be the child's new temporary mother and father. This assignment will last for six months, until the end of the semester. You will have to keep the child with you at all times, even during classes, lunch, and school activities. If any of you play sports, you can leave the child with your partner while you attend games. Also, another final thing I forgot to mention, all of you with your child will be living in a neighborhood campus that we have provided right next to the school. I have already informed each of your parents about the details of this project, and they have agreed to it." The teacher explained, before pointing her hand towards a paper that has been taped to the wall. "The paper over there tells who your assigned partner will be. Now that I have explained most of the details, do any of you have questions?" The teacher averted her gaze back at the students.

Karina sat there, her mind trying to process all the information at once. She was surprised that she was going to have to take care of a kindergartner and live away on the neighborhood campus, with a partner no less! She gave out a sigh, and glanced over at the paper with all their names on it. She was curious to see who her partner was.

Wolfgang felt along the hallway wall and then propped himself up against the door frame and clung to it as best he could. Ridiculously quiet and still for a four year old, he didn't really try to interact with the other kindergartners. It wasn't because of being anti-social, but because being in a new place had made him confused and disoriented and he wasn't entirely aware of where everyone else was.

Well, thanks parents, I suppose. Bret thought about it and smiled. He didn't want to smile, but putting on a bad impression was an awful idea. May as well get it over with, even if it's gonna be absolutely mortifying.

Oliver stared at the teacher, slack jawed. At their age, it was hard enough to take care of a kid with someone you really knew (not counting all of the single parents out there). But with someone you probably didn't even know? This would extremely bogus. He wanted to take the time to raise his hand and ask, What can I do so I won't be a part of this?, but he knew that would just be a waste of breath. He was here and had no choice in the matter anymore. He gave an exasperated sigh. He hoped at least the kid he got paired up with would be easy to take care of and hoped that his partner would at least be fine to work with. The plus side was, at least he could just hand the kid off to them when he had to go to football practice.

Mai bounced up and down on her heels as she waited in the hallway. She was excited beyond belief, even if she didn't know what for. Whatever it was, she was sure it would be an adventure. And boy did Mai like adventures. She looked over at the other two girls and two boys from her class that had come to. She kind of wondered why no one else could come but she shrugged. A field trip?

Barret chuckled a bit at finding out what Project K actually was. Of course his mother had agreed to it, with all the constant going on about wanting grandchildren one day, right after the many lectures of what would happen to him if he brought home any babies now. Allowing him to do this was a giant contradiction to everything she had told him. That aside the project sounded like it would be pretty fun now that he knew what it actually was. He wondered who his partner was since he didn't really recognize anyone in the room but the cheerleader and the football player but pretty much everyone knew who they were.

Ryder put his head on his desk. Absolutely lovely. He had no idea how to even react to this "project".

All he could wonder is what idiot created this concept? Sure, he had heard of classes for raising children, but that hardly included watching over a snot-nosed demon brat for an entirety of six months. He didn't mind kids in all honesty, but he did mind his influence on them. It was a surprise that he was even permitted to take this class, after all, he was to the closest to the lowest level of scum. But the lowest level was reserved for his parents.

He could only hope his partner wasn't a lost cause.

Nadia was surprised when she heard what the project was. It was really something she didn't think of. Well, it wasn't like she didn't like kids, it's more like what if they don't listen to her? Nadia had a lot of questions on her mind but didn't feel like asking them. She looked around the room, looking at the possible partners she might be paired up with. She was slightly surprised her parents allowed her to do this though, her father wouldn't have been so keen on it.

Liam's eyes widened. Wait, what? he thought. He heard Project K had something to do with taking care of a child, but he didn't know it'd be to such an extreme point. He scanned the room-it wasn't like he had close friends, but he wanted to at least know who he was dealing with. He recognized a few people from the popular crowd, but no one who he might know. He sighed. There was nothing he could do about it now, so he told himself he'd just go with the flow.

Lena was nervous about living with strangers, but her mom had convinced her it'd be fun. She bounced on her heels, wondering whether there would still be snack time.

Anne got up and just looked around, New people where fun especially big kids they had sugary snacks or at least her older brother did. She looked around and just smiled at the playmates she could have with her friends. " so what are we going to do when we go outside? " she said walking up to Mai smiling.
Anne was always in these programs for teens since she was even smaller, both her parents working it was something to have her do and it gave her experience most didn't get. Her older brother packed her stuff and said he included snacks this time so she was hoping they where candy hearts, her favorite.

"Okay, no further questions, then." The teacher scanned the room of students and all of them were completely silent due to their shock of the project. She couldn't help but give out an amused smile. "Feel free to look at the paper for your assigned partner."

Karina decided to sit up from her desk and casually make her way to the paper taped on the wall. She looked through the names on the list and finally found hers. She brought her finger up to her name and traced it across the paper to follow the name next to hers, indicating that was her partner. The name read "Liam Young". Great, she didn't know who that was. She stared back at the other students and tried to figure out who that might be.

Leaving one hand on the door frame still, Wolfie very carefully leaned out in the direction of the child talking, and looked a bit scared. If they went outside there wouldn't be any walls to hold on to. "Outside? I dun wanna." It was a sort of quiet protest though, without much threat behind it.
