Kenneth had been lying silently in the back of the SUV since it had left the compound. This was his first real assignment since joining the agency, everything else had been training or involved almost no risk what so ever. He slightly paid attention the details that the leader of his company, Carson, told them. His job was to provide back up and keep watch with a woman, Mari he called her, meanwhile they were stuck in an alleyway nearby. He was a little angry about the fact that he had been thrown in with a bunch of strangers because the mission required some intelligence gathering, yet he was forced to stay behind. Not that he didn't mind lying down on the job, just he'd have preferred to stay back at the compound.
Suddenly the girl, Mari, rolled down the window to let some fresh air in. She then took the binoculars she was instructed about and took up her post to keep watch. "That's nice and all but this close to a club and we'll be smelling of cigarette smoke before long," Kenneth yawned from the back seat. "You look like you know what you're doing, you keep watch and I'll just lie back for awhile. If anything happens just call my name, hopefully they can handle their job so we don't have to do ours." With a chuckle Kenneth stretched his legs across the back seat and rested his head on his arm. He hoped the others inside weren't incompetent enough to start a fight, just so he could rest a little longer. There weren't many days off during his training. Now that he was finished, he hoped to catch up on some sleep.
