World creation!

Maybe it's pure ice, maybe it's a massive sleeping dragon.

Maybe it's a gravity well being kept at bay by some fragile system that could break and doom the planet?

I never thought about changing the core but it's a neat concept. I'm not the only one who chooses what is and what isn't, if you want a specific idea to be in just say so. I realize this has quieted down some but if people still want to collaborate that's great.

I have another twist on the binary idea... a Dyson Sphere around the companion star, the whole construct circling the primary of the pair. Huge, huge amount of space, enough to "house" thousands of civilizations at once. If not tens of thousands... or more. Actually created this for an idea of my own, but...

Oops, almost forgot: This Dyson Sphere is habitable both on the inside and the outside surface. Like I said, HUGE huge surface area to play with.

That would be incredible, we could make a multiverse with that much space. =)

That's a really interesting idea, you guys keep making our canvas bigger, I like the idea a lot, a dyson sphere running off two stars, how massive and powerful that thing would be...

And in the centre of this 'Dyson Sphere', there would a large, uninhabitable central star, almost like our sun.
Perhaps, if magic is going to play a role in this, magic tendrils that are invisible to the naked eye come out of this central star will connect to some planets, causing them to have magic, while the untouched worlds don't.

Well, I also created a story-verse for a character of mine, in which his homeworld orbits a very close binary pair, the companion star being an artificial construct.

I think the idea of a world with water in the center would be cool. One of the worlds (if we're doing multiple) could have one civilization one the surface, and then a water living race in the core.

And over the years, the 'strik-hi' (Water Dwellers in their tongue) have evolved webbed hands and feet and can breathe under water, also developing their own language.

It would make a cool story, having two races completely oblivious about each other's existence, then suddenly figuring out that they have been sharing their worlds all along.

A core of water, with a "layer" around it. Taking the Dyson Sphere concept, what about a sphere within a sphere within a sphere around a water core? A "Layered World", if you will. With as many "layers" as you might wish to use, each a "world" unto itself. Until something happens to "open" these worlds, each to the others.

Perhaps the number of "layers" would depend on the number of players?

This is getting to be some inception kinda stuff.

A neat concept, that would make a goal for everyone, find out who or what opened the levels to each other, and why?

I feel a previous layered planet could have developed together within the dyson sphere yet a good distance away, and they have come to help or hinder the newly oponed planets.
