Katherin smiled in the direction of the new voices. She wasn't looking directly at him but slightly to the side of him. She was surprise to hear the voice of a toddler. She didn't know they had anyone that young here. It saddened her that someone so young had lost their family. "Welcome Iris and Dimitrios. My name is Katherin."

Iris noticed the cane and Katherin's slightly off line of sight, and put two and two together to figure out why she hadn't gone for the handshake. He pretended as if he never offered in the first place.

"What do I do?" Katherin repeated uncertainly. "Oh. You must be asking about my power. I can control snow and ice." Katherin waved her hand and snowflakes slowly began drifting down from ceiling.

Chloe and Carter noticed two new people come in, and heard them introduce themselves. "Hello." they said as they continued to play with the spheres, it was quiet, but loud enough that it could be heard by the two.

"Alright children. I think we are all here now." The house keeper told them. "Now just like yesterday we are going to work on your cooking skills. This time we are going to try something more complicated. I want you to make a complete meal."

"That is why you need to learn." The housekeeper told them. "Today I have chosen the pairs. Chip and Chloe B, Anne and Chloe I, Blue and Aisling, Lily and Carter, Iris and Katherin."

Chloe and Carter heard they weren't going to be partners. That would be bad, becaus both of them knew that the Housekeeper didn't know about their 'special' twist to their powers. "Actually..." they started. "Can we be partners?"

They were nervous about telling this, considering they have told very few people. "We get more powerful but bad when we are apart..." Chloe said. "And we need to be close... we don't know exactly how far away we have to be to change..." Carter said. "What about a group of three?" they asked at the same time, realizing then they could do what the Housekeeper wanted and also be close.

"That's a pretty cool power." Iris said to Katherin, not noticing the unintentional pun. "Probably has more practical uses than mine."

Iris turned to reply to the two who had greeted him, but didn't get a chance to reply due to the housekeeper explaining the class and putting them into pairs.

"Any particular meal you want us to cook?" Iris asked the housekeeper.

Chloe and Carter glanced to eachother worryingly. That meant eventually the Housekeeper was going to force them apart... that was bad news. They would get to stick together for this, though, which was good. "Do we get a cookbook?" Chloe asked quietly.

"That will change the teams to. Chip and Chloe B, Anne and Lily, Chloe I and Carter, Blue and Aisling, Iris and Katherin. Kyo why don't you help Lily and Anne." The housekeeper decided.

Kyo nodded and stood up to go work with his group. Perhaps something simple would be best...Rice is easy to cook...maybe we can start with that and add some vegetables. After that, I guess some sort of meat would go well with it...unless someone wants to make omelettes with rice or something... He wrote down both ideas, though he wasn't really sure about the second one. They did have breakfast already, after all.

"Cooking isn't something I've ever done." Katherin admitted. "I prefer finger foods. Their alot easier for me. I could probably make some potatoes and gravy."

"Potatoes sound good to me. I could also cut the steak into little strips, if that would help." Iris offered. He thought a little. "How about some garlic bread to go with it?"
