Sorry about that. I know it takes more then showing up to adapt. But if an adult other then the benefactor showed up she'd probably think they were considering adoption. And she would have to inform them of the child's abilities

Name: Iris Dubhslaine (pronounced doo-lan-ee)

Age: 15

Appearance: Iris (because I prefer links rather than directly putting the photo in the thread)

He also likes to wear bright/neon colors, his favorite hoodie consisting of a bright yellow body and hood, neon blue arms, and bright pink pockets, zippers, and inside. Also wears a pair of glowing green headphones that he wears around his neck while not in use. (These were kept from when he was living with his mother, and were washed as often as possible. He also has a smartphone he kept, but the bill hasn't been paid, so he mainly uses it for music and charges it whenever he is somewhere with an outlet. He has learned to keep these things hidden very well.) He is a very out going person, and loves making new friends and meeting new people, but he is also extremely cautious of them, as he is very protective of his little brother.

Ability: He can control colors. While he can use them to push something/one over and to harm, doing so costs quite a lot of energy and he is often knocked out after just one try. He mainly uses it for light, which costs next to no energy. (Looks a little like the neon power in infamous second son, sort of mixed with northern lights, but with more variety in colors). His blood also tends to change colors while outside of his body as a side effect of this.

Bio: He discovered his power as a young child. He was sitting on the couch and was getting quite bored waiting for his mother to finish supper, when he notices lights floating by the ceiling, constantly changing color. He decided to experiment with changing the color to blue, because he had a strange feeling he was making it, and it worked. His mom saw what was happening and was shocked. Iris told her that he was in control of it, but he didn't really know how. After hearing countless reports of children being born with strange abilities, she embraced it and urged Iris to work on improving what he could do. He practiced often, and got to the skill level he is at now shortly before his fourteenth birthday, when he stopped practicing for a while to help out his now pregnant mother, though often use it at parties to entertain people. His father had been gone most of Iris' life due to being in the military, and therefore Iris barely knew him. On his fourteenth birthday, he had received news that his father had died in combat, and though Iris hadn't been phased too much, due to his almost non-existent relationship with his father, his mother was grief-stricken. The effects of her grief eventually led to her going into early labour. She had given birth to a healthy baby boy, but at the cost of her life. Iris took the baby and snuck out of the hospital, knowing that they wouldn't let a baby be raised by anyone under the legal age limit, and started living on the streets. He lived on the streets for a year before finding out about the orphanage, and though he only knew of his own abilities, he would demand that his baby brother (now named Demitrios) be allowed in if they told him otherwise.

(I really feel that could have been written better by my own standards. I might edit a little bit to word it better)

He likes to ride on Iris' back, in an almost piggy-back manner. He is strong enough to hold on to iris' back and to walk. He still hasn't figured out talking other than very basic words like food and dirt. He often repeats those words when he's bored and just generally talks to himself, whether he's making actual words or not. Can almost pronounce Iris.

Ability: can control the growth of plants to a certain extent. It is undiscovered as of right now, but I plan to reveal it during the rp.
