Gabriel
The dragon spirit chuckled, a rumbled laugh
"You do not know that you already lost" It said to Hunter
"Its clear you do not have the voccablary to express yourself and thus must rely on fists, attacking someone when their back is turned, oh yes very mucho" The dragon said sarcastically "
Proving yourself really nicely there, or perhaps just showing your true character. I imagine a coward attacks someone when their back is turned, correct?" The dragon gave a roaring laugh, twisting in the air as Hunter left.
Gabriel meanwhile kept on walking. There really was no point in fighting Hunter. It wouldn't get him anywhere,
You're so sure your right? there was nothing about proving he could fight there.
prove it, well he had proved it. He had shown that you didn't have to fight to bring yourself or anyone else down. He wasn't a coward. He wasn't. Hunter saying that he was wouldn't change anything. Except it made Gabriel angry that Hunter would think that, specifically because he didn't have the balls to stand down and realise that Gabriel was right.
He was right. He knew that. He had damn well proved his beliefs. Changing his direction, he sought out perhaps the one person who would understand. He wanted his brother.
Karn vs Krystal
Karn continued his wild flailing Attack until the female wizard finally managed to get a hold off him and held her face to face and he in ocently siled
"Uhmmm.... Fighting? Away from the sparkles. Next option is to try from the inside of the body!" Karn chirped cheerfully, like anything he was sayings was not weird at all.
Before he transformed again, this time into his massive Chimera form, massive paws firmly on her, claws unsheathed as he opened his mouth, golden flames swirling.
"Eastern Chimera Roar!" the massive beast roared before launching the powerful attack and breathning the torrent of golden flames.
"
Shit!" Krystal muttered as Karn changed again and turned into a giant monster, like a bigger, more monstrous version of his previous form. On top of that, he had her pinned under one of his paws with claws on either side of head. Oh, and he was going to breathe fire on her. That was not going to turn out well for her. Moving the fingers of her right hand to form a diamond, she acted quickly."
Diamond Make: Giant Cobra!"
Karn would find something as big as he was tackling him from the side with enough force to get him off Krystal and flung a couple of feet. Where he had been, a Cobra about twenty feet long and made entirely of diamond, it's scales reflecting the light at certain angles. The giant serpent wrapped around Krystal, providing a protective wall what would not be easy to get around.
Karn roared as a diamond made cobra tackled him away from Krystal, forcing him away as he skidded along the ground as he tried keeping his balance. The beast let out a ferocious roar as the cobra wrapped itself protectevely around Krystal. Clawing the stone beneath him, claws easily raking chunks out before going into a charge. Large body carrying him quickly like a train, as if he was about to tackle the wall with his large dragon like horns. But instead, as he just about hit, he transformed into a mole and dug under the earth. Digging under the earth and underneath the wall and just below the woman's feet before resurfacing and transforming once more into the Chimera.
"Eastern Chimera Golden Flame Armor!" Karn roared, the entire of his massive body being encased in golden flame, creating a molten heated barrier and greatly heating up the small room they had within the diamond cobra wall. Almost feeling like they were in the center of the sun itself. The massive beast roared as he moved to rake his claws over the diamond wielder.
Krystal has suspected Karn would go underground, given his magic. Breaking through diamond was no easy feat. Melting it was just as hard. Still, she took advantage of his time underground and made a Diamond replica of herself before quickly moving up her serpent. She wasn't fast enough though and got hit by Karn's attack, though her fake took the brunt of it. She still had command of her Cobra though and the giant creature quickly bit down on Karn's Chimera form, it's giant fangs likely piercing this flesh.
Karn roared as the snake bit down on his flesh on his tail as he used it to to block the attack, but his fire armor increased, even the diamond starting to become a little unstable. The fire increased in density as he engulfed the diamond cobra completely in golden flame, resulting it to become very hot to the touch before he transformed into a cockroach to slip out of the large jaws then re transforming into the Eastern Chimera and lunging again.
"Eastern Chimera Bite!" he roared, his entire mouth engulfed in flames before crushing his razor fangs and powerful jaws around her thigh, crushing against the supposed flesh.
The good news for Krystal was that her construct had bought her enough time to get out of there before her cobra was surrounded by golden flames. She was thankful her construct was made of diamond and not something like ice. If it wasn't, it would've fallen a long time ago. Either way though, the heat from those flames was oppressive. She felt like there was no water in the air around them. That wasn't good for her or anyone nearby. Even if the arena was tough, she doubted the atmosphere was contained and thus the crowd was at risk.
She dismissed her cobra and the flames along with it and glared at Karn. First off, her cloths where a bit singed from that heat. Infact, her sleeves where definitely a bit shorter. Second, he had just endangered the crowd. Seriously, were any of the mages in this competition responsible at all. At least her guild kept the damage contained to their opponents. Not only that, if the heat and continued... she didn't complete her thought, though her face was definitely red now.
"
I'm going to destroy you." She said under her breath
Karn transformed again into his Draconic Cat form, flapping his wings. He wasn't too worried of the crowd. He had been somewhat careful in at least containing the heat within the area. Though his magic has been a bit shaky still after unlocking his second origin. That and his sickness has been making it more unstable a little. And he was desperate to win at least this once. Course he had no intention on killing anybody or anything. Or eating someone. At Krystal's words, he only gave a cheerful mew. He was a little surprised she was still willing to go on. Even diamond grows hot, even if it doesn't melt. Unless she herself is diamond, she probably wouldn't feel so comfortable.
"That's not very nice. I don't want to destroy you." Karn said as he tried to think of a way to try to beat her, without cooking her. Her diamond made it hard considering quite a bit of his shapeshifting was all mostly physical. His Chimera was really strong, but he rather not risk biting or clawing that hard again. It hurt even if he did manage to break it. Still, he can only hope she'd eventually give up if she got too hot.
Transforming again into a Eastern Chimera, he charged, body glowing as flames engulfed him.
"Eastern Chimera Explosion!" Karn roared, before fire erupted from his body like a bomb, the blast containing within their general area, not getting too close to the barrier of the stadium.
"
Hope you like fighting yourself. And thank you for the inspiration. Diamond Make: Eastern Chimera!" Krystal shouted as a diamond form of Karn's transformation charged him. Krystal knew she had to finish this quickly. First off, the heat in this arena was obscenely high. She knew she couldn't last long in this physically and was likely to pass out. Not only that, but her clothing wasn't fairing better either. She had heard of cloths melting off woman when Natsu Dragneel had returned from a whole year of training. But now she was about to be a victim of the same thing from a complete moron. She did not want to lose like this.
Jarvis and Mayt's Bandit round up
After everything seemed settled, Jarvis returned via lacrima to Mayt, glancing about for him, knowing he had some explanation to do,
"Mayt?"When Jarvis finally got back, the caravan would've set up camp for the night at the mouth of a narrow gorge, the last obstacle before they got to the main road. Mayt would be visible leaning against a large rock pillar at the edge of came, looking into the night with his arms crossed. As he heard his name called, he looked back at Jarvis, and waves the older mage over.
"Hey, Jarvis. I've got a plan for tonight." The wizard grinned some, and he seemed to be rearing to go.
Jarvis approached Mayt as he spoke up, glancing about to assure himself That everything was alright, nodding to Mayt in greeting, he said
"alright then, what do you have planned?" this was definitely easier then what he had left back in Crocus, but he hoped that Amelia would be okay for a few hours. And that Jamie wouldn't do anything more stupid then she already had.
Mayt nodded as Jarvis asked for the plan, and he clasped his hands together.
"So, we interrogate each of the seven bandits that're here, slip lacrima you can track onto each of them, let one escape, somehow, and follow him back to their hideout. Then, once we find their hideout, we get them all rounded up one way or another, then get the authorities." Mayt had clearly been mulling over this for most of the time Jarvis was gone. That is, when he wasn't sleeping.
"What do ya think? We can always grab another guild member if we need to, since you can go back and forth."Jarvis listened as Mayt spoke about his plan, thinking that it was simple, and that was probably for the best.
"alright then, seems like a good plan" it would mean he would have to make some tracker lacrimas, but that wasn't very time consuming to do,
"probably best if we just do it. It's been a complicated day back at the games"Mayt smiled some as Jarvis gave the go-ahead.
"Alright then, so, where are we going to interrogate them? That's one thing I didn't really think about." He glanced about, thinking.
"We could do it out here, by this rock, actually. Make it easier for them to escape."Jarvis nodded, giving a soft sigh.
"I can do the interrogation" he said, glancing about them as well.
"intimidation generally works best" he said, not really wanting to rely on anything else,
"where are they?"Mayt nodded, and pointed in the general direction of the center of camp.
"They're all together in a big tent. There are three or four people guarding them. I'll go with you to get them, but you give me a signal during the interrogation and we can find a reason to leave them alone for a bit so they can escape." He grinned a bit, and began walking towards the camp.
