I know differing points of view in certain events make for a more dynamic story, but sometimes the misconstruing of good intentions in the eyes of an "outsider" grinds on me a bit. I don't know why.

Well, there are actually a few things to factor in. Two of the DS's, Zero and Amaya, had their dragons essentially raised from real eggs in a lab. Well, Amaya's mother is a little more complicated, but that's the simple version. Versus my character Hunter who's dragon hid from Acnilogia and happened across Hunter during one of his hunting excursions during the last hundred years.

Amaya's mother was born before the great Dragon War and therefore is likely a natural dragon. She also hid from Acnologia while he was running wild.
