I think I know what arc you're on and the episodes of where the scenes happen. I have to say that arc wasn't my favorite arc, but it's filler so I can't argue too much about. The next two arcs after that were great, so it made watching the series a enjoyable again. I still get excited for the latest episode to come out lol

An interesting thing that keeps occurring to me as I watch is thinking about what my characters would do in this situation...most of the time its beat the crap out of the enemy while they sit ang brag about how strong they are or how they will destroy the protagonists.

As a note, after the arc that you're on. There are some episodes that are still filler before the two arcs that I mentioned. But those small fillers probably won't be annoying as you described the episodes that you watched. For some of those fillers, although silly, I actually found funny and interesting.
