@Silver Fox *Picks up a gun that shoots out hardcover copies of the Inheritance cycle* *speaks in gravelly old wizard voice* I banish the mediocrity of the film adaptation with the power of the original material. Begone, foul demons, begone. *Shoots wildly in Fox's general direction*

I'm afraid I have to disagree. As someone who's read all the Inheritance series, Eragon was incredibly inaccurate in many facets of it's creation, even though there are many events that they got chronologically correct as well as many accurate events. I will not take the time to point out many of the wrong things in the movie, I will simply point out that the Ra'zac were not slain until book three, or perhaps book two. I forget precisely how many books are in the series.

Oh I'm sure, doesn't stop me from enjoying it. Nor can you make me not like it just because you don't :p

@ZarkunIt was the third one, which was my favorite book out of the four, and that fact that they killed the Ra'zac early was one of the main things I hated about it, since that was his whole reason for leaving CArvahal in the first place, to get revenge.

@Silver Fox *Raises hand* Letta! *DVDs freeze in the air
* Jierda! *DVDS proceed to break into pieces* Brisingr! *DVDs then go up in flames*

*points at Bazooka and uses Jierda to break it, then faints from magic over-use*

The rumor mill has it that that they're being forced to remake the movie now that all four books have been released.

@ZarkunI don't know whether I want to cry, rage, or dare to hope. Will probably do some combination of all three if it's ever confirmed. -goes back to being exploded-

This has been churning in the rumor mill for a few years now, since the fourth book released, so I'm convinced we won't see it any time soon.

They fucked that up too horribly to even potentially find a silver lining. They fucked up SO many key point that the only reason you knew what it was was because of the title.

@Silver FoxThat movie was just bad. Nobody, and I mean nobody, could find anything in that movie to enjoy. It was just a thousand times worse if you had watched even a smidgen of the source material

@Caits

"Let's make an epic battle where everyone dies . . . and then make it all actually be a vision that the main bad guy could've totally used to avoid his own death, but didn't because who knows why. That'll be awesome and everyone will love it."

Book movies tend to go from bad to average, or at least, those that are trying to capitalize on books that are wildly trending are.

A perfect example of this would be the movie Eragon which . . . I can't even talk about how much I hate that movie, because I know it would turn into a huge rant.

//> Is shot for bringing up that movie
