Indeed. Ferrin and Ariel are filling and delicious xD
*Imagines* *Thought bubble appears*
Ferrin: "Is he...chewing on me? ....ahhh! Make it stop, its weird!"
*pop*
Huh, wazzat?!

Powerful magic- yeah, I'll get behind that.
Illusion and invisibility go hand and hand. He (I) got creative, how can you blame that?
Magic detection- ehh, more like sensitivity, in a real fight, thats giving him less then a split second warning. In Nero's case, Ferrin was focused on him, and so he felt it, and Nero held it, this giving Ferrin time to sense it.
Telepathy- I have explained that his is not very powerful, he can't break into your mind, or whatever, but he can communicate, glean thoughts, and emotions.
Mine aside, what about instantaneous magic that can horribly cripple and weaken to the point of defeat, and that decreases magical and physical power.

Stones and glass houses.
Edit: I want to point out (kindly) that there are many powerful characters here, in any normal RP almost every one of our characters would be OP, but we have a balance here, each with their own strengths, and weaknesses for example, if Nero were to catch Ferrin by surprise with his curses, magic detection or no, Ferrin could lose. Don't start blowing the OP whistle, just because a character does something amazing or clever.

The difference between two powerful characters is who conserves it. Both characters were in an aggravated position, but Nero turned and walked away rather than doing something amazing or clever while you went to lengths to show off your character's ability. Even though it's true I've been singing Nero's praises, he's got weaknesses that keep him very much in check. Only one curse can be applied to anyone at one time, most have time limits, and if you're not expressly willing to be cursed, he has to either physically touch you or charge an object with the curse. Plus, even if he does touch you and inflict you with debilitation there's no guarantee he'd win. A child version of a formidable fighter could still beat him up, a person who's been struck blind or dizzy by a disease can still attack with magic, and so forth.
I didn't know magic detection was a thing, actually, so I can't fault you for that. None of my characters can do it, except perhaps Sanders.

Indeed, biting would be the most effective way. Usually Prince just licks, kisses, or the least effective, touches people to drain magic xD
Prince: *om nom nom*
Weirdo vampire cat
<Snipped quote by Silver Fox>
*Imagines Prince sparkling in the sunlight*

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he did xD
He uses roses and flower petals, might as well sparkle like Twilight vampires xD he's already half naked like the werewolves
<Snipped quote by Silver Fox>
Ariel is probably someone that, if Prince consumed all of her magic, it would just be the current magic and she would be fine.
<Snipped quote by Silver Fox>
Prince...Edward?
// is shot again
<Snipped quote by Crimson Raven>
It makes so much sense now. The charm. The dazzle. Holy shit. The draining of life energy.

*Brain implosion*
WHAT HAVE I DONE? I'VE BROUGHT TWILIGHT TO THIS RP NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
*commites seppuku*
@Silver Fox
I've been a bit curious about Prince. Is Prince's cat like appearance because of the unknown magical curse or is he part of some kind of cat/human race?
<Snipped quote by Lugubrious>
That was, origanally, what I was going to post, but I got tied up by RL. You sing Nero's praises, I sing Ferrin's. We basicaly did the same thing, just in different ways.
Ie:
You sung Nero's praises, I went to great lengths to describe Ferrin's cleverness.
Nero walked away, Ferrin took a passive stance.
ect.
See where I am coming from?
Where is our fearless and interpret leader, the great, and almighty @Caits?
Caits, I summon you from the Void, to pass judgment on us lesser beings!
Bring forth your cleansing light, oh awesome and powerful GM! Show us the true path!
I humbly beseech thee---Ferrin: >o<"CUT IT OUT!">O<
O.O
*hides*
Joking aside, I would like your opinion, conserning my last post.

On another note, I read the link in your signature. It's stimulating, if troubling. It's a lot to think about. I also looked down at the comments and witnessed what I term 'dregs argument'.
<Snipped quote by Crimson Raven>
You did just drop an almost literal nuke, a miniature sun on the battlefield. My character uses Sun Magic and can't so something like that. You also admitted that Ferrin was capable of doing that more than once without having to charge up again. Admittedly he does need a bit of time to charge it up but it didn't seem like it took all that long and it left a literal blast crater and immolated basically everything in a sizable area. While I'll admit that a lot of the characters in this RP are very powerful I'm not really seeing the weaknesses that you say are there.
<Snipped quote by Lugubrious>
I agree. It is a lot to think about, and it may be false, but it is something interesting to chew on, and worth considering.
What do you mean by 'dregs argument'?
