So, I know that I'm WAAAAAAAAAY late in joining this RP, but are characters still being accepted? Also, where should I post my CS first?

ALSO, could someone give me a tip as to where I should start off?


Post your CS here for review with mentions to myself, Caits, and Expolar so we all see it. Then, as to where to start off, in the first post of the characters tab is a link to the website that has everything on it. There's a summary for the Grand Magic Games and the RP overall on it.

Best I can do is say that we have a large number of varied Maker Magics, we are not accepting anymore Slayers of any kind at this point, and you're free other wise.

No. Lol

To answer your original question, prety much any kind of magic goes (within reason). Make up your own, or use a canon magic, its up to you. Although, keep in mind that it will still be reviewed.

That gives me an idea, @Caits You chould compile a list of active people (ie posted within the last three weeks), their characters, and their magic. Best way I can think of to accomplish that, its to create an editable docksheet and have all active people put down their relivant information. ...or maybe just have eveyone pm you, @Zarkunion, and @Expolar, then make a post on the Characters tab or put it up on the website.

@Ebonsquire I mean, I have a super list for Ariel's magic. Some of it is generic though so wouldn't be entirely useful to anyone else. I can say this, there is a lot of Requip, Fire, Dark/Shadow, and Light. A bunch of others but they aren't all active.

Well, we both like Fire Emblem, and great minds think alike.

Although, I'm still on the fence about Fates. Concept-wise, it seem cool, Storyline seems Grand, but the cost, and the bullshit hit% rates are just two of many things that prevent me from defiantly liking it.

Seriously, when your unit misses a 99% hit and the enemy comes back with a 10% hit that costs you the chapter, there is something not right. >.>

I haven't been encountering hitrate issues. Even still, bad luck is part of RNG. On one occasion an enemy with a 4% crit rate took out one of my best units, Saizo, but such is life. And death.

Really? In just a 20 min span, I've had several WTF?! moments, like where a ~80% chance misses twice in a row, then a ~50% chance connects twice. In a row.

Do an area match. I guarantee you will have at least one such moment. On the bright side, the weird RNG is not wieghted, I've had my units pull off feats like that.
It is marketly differnt from Awakening, where 80% and up was more or less a guaranteed hit. (Exaggeration)

This carries over to the leveling up stat increase chances. ~3 stats seems to be the most commmon, only once, in my entire play, have I seen a "perfect" stat increase. Again, different from Awakening.

I do, however, like the balancing. Even mob units have potental to kill, and pair ups are less OP (although I find myself still paring up everyone from the start) HP values also have taken a balance.

I love the new reclassing, where your level carries over, but I wonder how you would increase stats after they hit max on advanced class? Maybe stat boosting items, but those are so rare...




Methinks I could have spent that time and effort to post instead...

If you have excess Dragon Vein points, the statues you put up and upgrade in MyCastle can increase stat caps slightly. Visiting other castles, leaving feedback, and fighting is a good way to get DV.

I meant how to max their stats, after you have hit the max level, since reclasing keeps you at the same level. I know about the statues. (Tip, they can be used defensively in Castle battles)

I love Fire Emblem, fantastic game series (Pokemon is my favourite still). Only own Awakening unfortunately but I preordered Fates and simply await for them to be released in Australia in....May -_-'
Been also trying to get my hands on older versions of the series but without much luck. Mainly be playing them on emulators :\
EDIT: Also really enjoy Bravely Default (but I can't seem to kill one boss and stuck >_<) and also own Bravely Second but refuse to play it till I kill this SOB.
Fairy Fencer is also a fantastic game and can't wait till it comes out in May as well on PS4! Although disappointed the game is more or less just a remake of the PS3 game rather than a sequel but oh well.
