Zen is a tall, slim individual with little muscle tone and a fair complexion littered with freckles all across his nose, neck and shoulders. He has very feminine features for a boy, consisting of soft, rosy cheeks, thick lashes and thin pouting lips. His eyes have been described as sunsets, with a gradient of warm amber hues mixed with a slight tinge of a soft violet. His charcoal black hair is cut short and kept in a bowl cut neatly. He wears a very standard Rune Knight tunic with a red tie, black tight fitting pants and boots. When travelling he is also known to wear the standard issue poncho draped around his shoulders. At his hip is a large mechanism which holds his weapons. Silver and metallic, it draws quite a lot of attention.

Given Name(s) Zen
Codename Crow
Gender Male
Sexuality Asexual
Age 20
Birthday 14th of February
Alignment Lawful Good
Motivation He wishes continue climbing the ranks of the Rune Knights, hoping to one day lead them.
Personality Zen is an eager young man with a desire to feel important. While not narcissistic by any means, he does have a tendency to always have an ulterior motive based around gaining recognition and respect. Zen by nature is quite friendly and a little bit of a troublemaker. Despite this, he tends to try and mimic the ice cold and distant demeanor of his captain, Rosalina. This facade comes off as quite forced, since Zen is the type of person who can't help but care for others. He's rather sensitive, especially regarding his own skills and shortcomings.
Though he seems childish to most, Zen is an upstanding Knight who wants to protect Fiore at the very core of his being. He's relatively new to the order and can be quite oblivious about the previous Council's misdeeds, leading him to question why the public shows such little regard for the Knights. He is usually by the book, but tends to lean more towards a sympathetic side when dealing with those who break the law. He gets along well with the other members of his squad, though being the youngest he can't help but feel overwhelmed in the presence of such decorated soldiers.
While never having been a member of a guild, Zen is quite fond of them. He likes to spend his free time hanging around other mages, particularly those around his age, and training with them.

Magic Specialty Shadow Magic
Description Zen is able to manipulate shadows to varying effects.Penumbral Affinity"Perish in Darkness"
Passively increases the potency and range of Zen’s spells by drawing on nearby shadows. Inversely, Zen’s spells become quite weak in environments with little shade.
Shadow Walk"Into the night."
Shrouds Zen in nearby shadows, granting him temporary invisibility as long as he remains in the shadows. Able to quickly travel from shadow to shadow without breaking stealth. Zen developed this technique by watching Constantine use Stilled Breaths.Shadow Rush | A variation of Shadow Walk that the overzealous Zen developed to give the spell more of an offensive use. Submerging his feet in his own shadow, Zen is able to quickly dart in any direction for a burst of mobility
Midnight Shroud | Only usable at night time, Midnight Shroud envelops Zen and any nearby allies in darkness; granting temporary invisibility. Stealth disappears upon attack or any magic cast.
Dark Phantasm"Shadow puppetry at it's finest."
Zen creates an illusory image of himself out of shadows, using it to feint an opponent or cover his escape while he sneaks away in stealth. Zen borrowed heavily from Rosalina’s Empty Phantasm magic, but his copies are completely intangible.
Shadow Make"The dark bends to my will."
Zen is able to manipulate his own shadow, as well as any nearby shadows into solid constructs with various uses. Larger constructs are harder to form, but if there is substantial shade then Zen finds it much easier to mold them.Dynamic Shadow Make | Uses nearby shadows to create animated constructs. These creations are quicker to form, but will dissipate under strong light.
Cutthroat"The light won't find you here."
Releases a mass of shadows around Zen, completely blocking out all light and leaving anyone inside blind. While inside, Zen is able to move incredibly fast and his presence is removed while not attacking. The shadows dissipate after one minute.
Main Weapon Zen uses a mechanical contraption that is secured to his waist through wires that interlock into his clothing. The machine holds up to 40 standard issue blades, which are very light but not the most durable. Zen possesses two hilts which he can use to latch onto new blades after discarding broken ones. Additionally, the hilts also possess a trigger which Zen can use to throw his blades out as projectiles. Even the machine itself is able to rapid fire blades right from the hip if needed.
Secondary Weapon Zen carries a sidearm magic pistol given to him by Constantine. The gun has little power, and Zen is a horrible shot. It barely gets used as a weapon and is more so a precious gift from a close friend.
History Zen, orphaned when his parents died in a tragic accident whilst travelling, was always determined from a young age to make a difference. Growing up in the system, he was able to experience the poor standard of living that many like him were subjected to. Part of him wished to devote his life to helping others, but another part wanted to be recognised as a daring underdog who reached his way to the top from nothing. While most of his youth was spent goofing around with friends, he was still determined to work hard and become a Knight. His years as a cadet were simple, but it was here he met Rosalina Idwal.
Having heard rumours of the Knight who slayed a demon, Zen was instantly entranced by the enigmatic woman. He did everything he could to gain her favor, but his attempts all ended in failure. There was a strange distance between Rosalina and everyone else; a wall she put up. However, Zen was determined. He would not be bested so easily. Using his Shadow Magic, a skill he had developed quite early as a child, he snuck into Rosalina's quarters to find her reading through what looked like old letters. However it seemed he was not as sneaky as he thought. Rosalina addressed him, complimenting Zen's ability to slip past all of the guards in her barracks.
Zen was certain he'd be sent home after that stunt, but he just wanted his superior to notice his skills. Rosalina told him he'd make a fine spy and sent him on his way. A few years passed, and Zen had begun emulating Rosalina in every way he could. When he graduated and became a Knight, he was overwhelmed with joy when he found out that Rosalina had personally requested him to join her squad, Team Veritas.Family Name Woods

Constantine is a taller than average woman with a reasonably muscular stature. Her shoulders are broad and she boasts a wide frame of dark, charcoal skin. Her ash blond hair is naturally curly and forms ringlets that flow behind her, but she usually ties it into a tight bun. Her calloused hands and feet combined with deep dark circles underneath her silver eyes give off the impression of a woman who is wise beyond her years. Of coarse it's hard for anyone to make out any of these details, as Constantine is almost never seen without her gear. A thick, heavy duty camouflage coat with a hood and full faced visor practically cover the entirely of her body. She wears a good pair of boots and trousers that match her coat as well as a black, leather gloves. Her visor has many wires which reach down along her body and connect to her sniper rifle.
"Call them criminals, degenerates or villains; to me they're just prey."
Given Name(s) Constantine
Codename Hawk
Gender Female
Sexuality Pansexual
Age 46
Birth Date 7th of November
Alignment Lawful Good
Motivation To atone for the misdeeds she carried out in the name of the old council.
Personality Constantine is a stern individual with very prominent maternal instincts. While she always has an aura of discontent around her, it's not uncommon for you to find a packed lunch on your desk or your clothes folded into a neat pile. She'll scold you for not taking care of yourself better and then issue out a new diet and training regimen; and God help you if you don't follow it. She can be quite controlling and often needs to be told when her parental tendencies aren't needed or wanted. She can also be quite judgmental without realising it; butting into conversations with an unwanted opinion and refusing to accept any other alternative.
As you can guess, Constantine is stubborn as a mule and is considered by many of the Knights to be even more terrifying than Rosalina. Yet despite that, she has a way of bringing out the good in others. Her approval is comforting, and most can't help but seek it out. While not as strict as Rosalina, Constantine is the type of soldier who simply follows orders regardless of her feelings. She's not proud of someof the things she's done, particularly under the old council, but she shrugs off her guilt and does what needs to be done.
Out of all the Team Veritas members, Constantine has the closest relationship with Rosalina. The two don't ask questions about each other's pasts and have a mutual respect for each other's unique skills. It might not seem like much of a friendship, but it's perfect for the two of them. Constantine may be one of the only members of Veritas that isn't afraid to question Rosalina, even if she always follows her orders in the end.

Magic Specialty Enchanter Magic
Description Constantine can enhance the abilities of her allies, whilst debilitating the abilities of her enemies.Stilled Breaths"Silent as mist."
Passively allows Constantine to remove her presence entirely while remaining still for a few seconds. Large movements will remove stealth, but she is otherwise allowed to slowly reposition if needed. Casting a spell removes Stilled Breaths, but only for a short instance.
Enchanted Rifle"Keep fighting, I've got you covered."
Constantine’s sniper rifle isn’t designed to assassinate targets, but rather lets her apply her various enhancements and debilitations over a great distance. Each spell has a different use depending on whether Constantine uses it on an ally or an enemy in her eyes.Clarity/Clairvoyance | Fires a round that always hits her target if they are in line of sight. If used on an ally, their vitals and magic power level is revealed to Constantine and she is able to briefly communicate telepathically with them. If used on an enemy, their location is revealed to Constantine for five minutes.
Flash Signal/Aural Decoy | Fires a magical round on a surface that creates a flashing beacon that only allies can see. Quite useful for when Constantine wants to bring others attention to something they might not have noticed. Aural Decoy creates a noise similar to the voices of Constantine and her allies at the point of impact, allowing her to distract enemies.
Life Pulse/Well of Life | Fires a magical round that offers allies a short burst of magic healing. When used on an enemy, they glow green for the next two minutes. Any attack made against that enemy by Constantine’s allies will grant them the same healing as Life Pulse. Life Pulse may not be as powerful as Well of Life, but it is definitely more reliable in an emergency.
Arcane Shot/Mana Fountain | Fires a magical round that when used on an ally, lets them cast their next spell for only half the magic cost. When used on an enemy, they glow blue for one minute. Whenever allies attack the marked enemy, a small amount of Magic Power is restored. One person may not be both a Well of Life and a Mana Fountain at the same time.
Sigil of Creation/Sigil of Destruction | Fires a magical round into Constantine’s ally that doubles the effectiveness of any of her heals or enchantments on them for one minute. When fired onto an enemy, the Sigil of Destruction creates a mark on the exact spot Constantine shot. If one of her allies is able to land their attack on that mark, the attack is 300% more effective. Enemies can only have one mark on them at a time.
Protect/Shatter | When fired at an ally, their magical and physical defenses are slightly enhanced. When used on an enemy, their defenses are lowered. Lasts one minute.
Haste/Slow | When fired at an ally, increases their speed, agility and reflexes. When fired at an enemy, those attributes are lowered. Lasts one minute.
Enrage/Pacify | When fired at an ally, increases their physical and magical strength. When used on an enemy, those attributes are lowered. Lasts one minute.
Ol’ Reliable"Don’t slack now. Fight’s not over yet"
Constantine sacrifices an immense amount of Magic Power to summon her strongest gun, Ol’ Reliable. A golden revolver that shines with magic power, possessing six incredibly potent shots. Each shot when used on an ally will instantly apply much stronger versions of Protect, Haste and Enrage on them for three minutes. Inversely, using any shots on an enemy will apply more crippling versions of Shatter, Slow and Pacify for the same duration.
Main Weapon Constantine's Sniper Rifle is a magical catalyst for her various enhancements spells. However, it is not entirely supportive. The rifle is able to change from a long ranged, scoped sniper rifle to a short ranged assault rifle that is capable of pelleting an area with a wide, inaccurate spread of magic bullets. The bullets don't do a lot on their own, but can really pack a punch if you stand in their spray for too long. When scoped in, Constantine is also able to fire high pressure magic bullets that apply blunt force over a distance; not enough to wound, but they can knock someone off balance and cause discomfort.
Secondary Weapon Constantine's grappling hook is latched onto her right arm, allowing her to be quite mobile when needed. Can also be used as a weapon under certain circumstances.
History Constantine Woods, proud mother and member of the Rune Knights, was struck with tragedy when her darling son was taken from her. Thirteen years ago, the incident changed who she was. Having already lost her husband to illness, she was left alone in the world. This is when Constantine turned to her work to offer her peace. She became incredibly invested in whatever task she was given and would perform even the most heinous acts at a simple command. Of coarse, this was back during a time of corruption within the Council.
When the new Council took over, Constantine continued to work as a Knight. However finding out the true, wicked agenda of the old Council created conflicting feelings within her. She suddenly felt remorse for the horrible things she did and all of the ways she helped those wicked people achieve their goals. She decided that she would make it right, and continue to work as a Knight to help protect Fiore. She works as a member of Team Veritas and has become quite mellow over the years serving under Rosalina.Family Name Descoteux

Bayard is a giant of a man, standing at just over 6'6" with an incredibly broad, muscular frame. His skin is lightly tanned and sports a series of scars and tattoo's that he has earned during his long service as a Knight. He has very rough facial features, including a rugged, square jaw and crooked nose. His black eyes are slanted and beast like, holding a hidden ferocity behind a pair of plain rectangular spectacles. Two of his bottom teeth are sharp and stick up from underneath his upper lip. His maroon hair is well kept, but allowed to grow down the side of his face. Bayard dresses quite smartly, wearing a long sleeved button up shirt completely with black trousers, a vest and a red tie. He keeps a pocket watch with the Rune Knight insignia imprinted on it's surface in his front breast pocket.
"To restore honour to the Rune Knights, we must all do our part."
Given Name(s) Bayard
Codename Sparrow
Gender Male
Sexuality Homosexual
Age 30
Birth date 3rd of May
Alignment Chaotic Good
Motivation Restore the Rune Knights to their former glory.
Personality Bayard is a surprisingly reserved and well mannered gentleman despite what his rugged apperance might suggest. He has very polite mannerisms and proper speech as a result of a wealthy upbringing in a noble family, closely related to the Royal Family of Fiore. He is quite a humble individual, and selfless to the core. Bayard is the type of person who will always put others before him, waving off any compensation with a smile and a reassurance that it was his 'duty as a Rune Knight to serve others'.
Despite his loyalty to the order, Bayard has known to be quite an insubordinate member of the Knights. He refuses to stand for injustice and is a very passionate man; so much so that he even defied the previous Council without hesitation. Despite the hardships his firm beliefs bring him, he is certain that he'd much rather live with being labelled as a lousy soldier than a murderer.
Bayard can be quite playful and gets along very well with Zen and Constantine. He admires Rosalina's drive to restore the Rune Knights, but can't help but feel her detached nature prohibits her from making proper decisions regarding the well being of Fiore. Of coarse, not being one to rock the boat where unnecessary, Bayard hasn't voiced this opinion.

Magic Specialty Rock Golem Magic
Description Bayard is able to coat his skin in a debilitating layer of rock that vastly improves his strength and durability at the cost of crippling his mobility and range.Thick Skin“You’re improving! That last one almost hurt”.
Bayard’s body becomes coated in a layer of thick, magical stone that heavily reduces his mobility but offers ridiculous durability against magical and physical attacks. The armor will eventually shatter if it sustains a huge sum of damage over the course of a battle. If it shatters, it cannot be reformed for another hour.
Healing magic from other mages are only half as effective when used to restore Bayard's Thick Skin.Human Boulder | Using magic to build momentum, Bayard charges in one direction with little control for devastating effects.
Earth Plates | Covers the exterior of Thick Skin in deadly sharp plates of rock that jut out in all directions. Plates can be fired as projectiles.
Seismic Fist“Yes, occasionally, I am known to smash”.
Bayard is able to increase his physical strength exponentially while Thick Skin is activated. He is capable of ripping apart the earth like tissue paper and causing shockwaves with each punch and kick. The more power exerted, the more magic used.
Earthen Runes“Nature protect me”.
While Thick Skin is activated, Bayard’s stone covered body is littered with various magical glyphs. When activated, Bayard is able to use the magic of these runes to various effects.Earth Shock | Throws out an orb of earthen energy that deals minor damage, but causes the target to become much heavier and slower for one minute. This effect can stack onto itself up to three times.
Imbue | Surrounds an ally in earthen energy, creating a temporary shield that heals Bayard’s Thick Skin with each attack made against it whilst protecting his friend.
Stone Familiars | Sacrifices a decent portion of Thick Skin’s durability to summon two stone fairies imbued with earth magic. Each fairy is capable of casting Earth Shock and Imbue once and can fly.
Self-Destruct“No fear!”
Bayard becomes stationary while his Thick Skin overheats with intense magical power. After three seconds, the armor erupts and releases a shockwave of magic power and debris over a moderate range. Self-destruct is more powerful depending on how much damage Bayard’s armor soaked up. The spell also hurts Bayard, but he only suffers half the force.
Main Weapon His bare fists
Secondary Weapon The rest of his body
History Born the eldest child of three to the noble Descoteux family, close relatives of Fiore's Royal family, Bayard had been guaranteed an easy life from birth. In his youth he would spend much of his time studying fine art and literature and had even become quite fond of the violin. However there was nothing Bayard loved more than the scarce times he was allowed to play outside in the woods. Always being large for his age, Bayard possessed natural strength that allowed him to complete impressive physical feats at such a young age. As he grew he came to realise that the role his family had in mind for him wouldn't allow him to make use of his natural born gifts.
When he was sixteen, Bayard ran off and enlisted in the nights under a false name and age. His mature appearance and sheer size was quite useful as nobody questioned him being there. After a few years of training, he was eventually enlisted into the Rune Knights. His family had their doubts, but they were supportive of Bayard's decision. To this day he is still on good terms with them.
Bayard became an example for all Knights to follow; loyal, courageous and selfless. That was, until he began to receive orders that involved theft, blackmail and in some cases murder. Quick to voice his concerns to the Magic Council, Bayard was immediately shut down and given the stern warning to do as he told. Furious, Bayard spoke against the council and refused to let them manipulate him. While Bayard wasn't of particular importance, the Council didn't want an annoyance running his mouth around town about them. They sent him away to a distant post, where he was kept prisoner under the guise of being sent their as a bodyguard.
Here he met Rosalina. She was relatively new to the order, but her feats had gained her instant favor and recognition. Rosalina would become the only solace that Bayard had found in his days. He was filled with guilt for not being able to stop the Council. She reassured him that everything would turn out alright. When the Council was overthrown, Bayard was brought to tears. The damage they had done to Fiore, the Guilds and the Knights was substantial. Rosalina offered Bayard a place in her squad, with the promise that they would restore the Knights as a beacon of hope to Fiore.
They sound good to me too, seems like they would be an interesting and fun squad. You got my approval :)
