Forgive me for saying this, but I've seen explanations like that before, and typically the reason is 'so my character can be the strongest'. I will be patient since I'm sure that as the GM, this is not the case, and you will not abuse this power.

Like location of Master Rian.they know her, but doesn't know where. But probably knows most other things.
