Yeah, we're going with that map. And I'm not entirely comfortable with it. It would pose too many complications.

I know I can edit, but I think it's easier to post a new version then making the GM follow a link back to my edited bio. I might as well just post the update, especially if it's moved to a new page.

God

Name: Reon

Title(s): Goddess of Lilies, Goddess of the Sun

Seat of Power: Iliogis

Divine Aspects: The Sun, Fire.

Appearance: And done.

Artifacts: The Spear and Shield of the Sun. Both fairly ordinary in appearance, the Spear can be imbued with the intensity and heat of the sun itself(an exaggeration, but it becomes bright and on fire), allowing it to burn through foes before her if required. The Shield, however, retains a rather unique function: It is clear, acting as a magnifying glass and allowing heat and light to be channeled through it.

Unique abilities: Reon is completely and utterly immune to heat and fire, it cannot damage her in any way. This of course makes perfect sense given her domain as a goddess. Even the most intense fire would feel like a pleasant, warm day to Reon. She can also manipulate and create fire on a large scale, spawning balls of flame in the palm of her hand or pulling it from already-burning sources, directing it with her will. She can even use it as armor by igniting her body.

Personal History: Reon awakened upon a stone warmed by the sun, deep in the territory of the Amazons in Iliogis. Little did she know, however, that this was no simple stone. It was a sacred place for the female warriors, a stone pointed towards the rising sun, kept warm by its rays. When they discovered her there, groggy from her long sleep and confused in her bleariness, they were naturally quite perplexed. However, as her mind caught up to her situation, Reon rose and proclaimed her nature as the Goddess of the Sun. Naturally, the Amazons were initially disbelieving of her claim. And so Reon decided to prove it. From the nearby torch, she pulled the flames and manipulated them with ease. This proved her to be just who she claimed to be, the Sun Goddess Reon. The Amazons quickly accepted her and she took her role as their deity, accepting sacrifices of lilies(and requesting gardens of the flowers to be planted). Temples of Reon have been created, Priestesses clad in red robes worshipping the goddess and creating alters from glowing stone. Reon does her best to visit these temples, but even for a Goddess it's rather difficult to visit all of them. She does her best to guide her followers at all times, from peace to war.

Personality: Reon is, in a word, temperamental. It would be very easy to describe her personality as fiery. She is quick to anger and prone to jealousy and irritation with others, disparaging them for the foolishness she perceives and loudly declaring how she feels they are quite simply rather stupid. She is prone to insulting others without any hesitation whatsoever, even if they are those she is allied with. Even if it's those that she cares for, she will still freely insult them. This is really her way of attempting to steer them from behaviors she feels could result in them being harmed. Reon cares deeply for her followers and wishes to lead them to victory, even if she shows it in a rather indirect manner given her temperamental nature. Reon's favored symbol is the lily, the flower proving to be her favored plant above all others.

Other: The worship of Reon features the sacrifice of lilies.

Nation:

Name: Iliogis

Location: Iliogis is located in the warmer regions of the South. While not tropical, it possesses a warm and pleasant climate. The lands of Iliogis are fertile and it is bordered to the east by the sea, allowing for a healthy fishing industry.

Government: Iliogis is run by a democratically-elected council of Amazons. Elections are held every five years, and the Council regularly meets in the Grand Sun Hall in Iliogisan capital of Ilioevnoipolis. Reon herself attends these council meetings but is not a member, instead making guiding suggestions for her people. She does have the right to give her input and guidance, which is deeply trusted and followed by the council, but she is not officially a member.

Dominant race: Amazons. A race of entirely female near-humans. Completely indistinguishable from humanity in terms of physical appearances, Amazons are all uniformly female. They can vary greatly in appearance, just as many humans do, from small and petite to taller and more muscular, and everywhere in between and all around. However, even the smallest and most slender Amazon possesses strength far greater then a grown human male, capable of easily outdoing a human man in hand-to-hand combat. They are frequently trained in some form of combat, even Amazons who specialize in fishing or farming know some level of martial arts if nothing else. Even the seemingly-peaceful Priestesses of Reon are at least somewhat skilled in a fight. In the absolute worst case scenario, the entire adult population of Amazons can be mobilized to defend Iliogis from attack. This is a fact that they take great pride in. In terms of appearances, Amazons can have a variety of hair colors, the most common being blonde, brown, and black. Their skintone varies with their location and how much time an individual spends out in the sun, from fair to a deep tan. Amazonian culture puts great value on bonds between Amazons, and on the sun. They feel the sun is responsible for much of their food, for the warm climate they enjoy... so much of it relies on the sun. Amazons are of average magical talent, occasionally producing exceptional magi, and are also remarkably capable metalworkers. However, their metalworking still pales in comparison to dwarven smiths. They are frequently talented hunters as well. Amazons have a long lifespan, staying youthful and fit for almost their entire lives.

Other races: Other races found in Iliogis, or at least near to it, include...
  • Mermaids: Mermaids are an all-female aquatic race, possessing a fish tail in place of legs. They can breath on land and in water, but they have no easy method of moving outside of the water. Their upper body, and a hidden portion of their lower body, resembles a human body with the exception of their ears, which are larger, and webbed. Their lower body has a "sheath" that extends up and works, oddly, almost like pants, naturally covering embarrassing locations unless pulled down. Below this portion, they have a fish-like tail they use to move about underwater. Mermaids are skilled fishers. As they lack any males in their race, they are capable of reproducing with males of other races. The offspring are always mermaids, and as mermaids are always female, so are the offspring.

  • Nem: Nem are largely human in appearance. However, there are some important differences. All Nem have black hair, and their eyes are usually red or yellow. In addition, Nem never reach heights beyond 4'0, 3'5 to 3'7 being the average for an adult. They are usually slender, and all Nem are also very, very pale. Nem are best-suited for activity at night, having excellent night vision, and exist as a primarily nocturnal race. Though some nem do venture out during the day, they require outfits that cover their skin to keep it from burning in the sun. Nem are rather physically fragile in comparison to other races. However, they are quite fast. Nem have a notoriously low alcohol tolerance, due to their small size. They dwell in he more arid regions of Iliogis, to the southwest. They often venture into Amazonian cities for trade.

  • Harpies: Another uniquely all-female race, harpies dwell in the more mountainous inland regions of Iliogis. Harpies look like female humans, with the exception of the lower legs, and the arms. In place of them are avian limbs, including robust wings allowing for competent flight. Their talons are dexterous and capable of manipulating objects, but they lack hands which limits some of their abilities. They have an excellent relationship with the Amazons, acting as an airforce for the ground-bound warriors in times of warfare.

  • Wild Flora/fauna: Notable forms of wildlife in Iliogis include the horse-variants, pegasi and unicorns. Flying horses and horses baring a single, sharp horn respectively. Both are tamed as mounts by the Amazons. These are not the only animals in Iliogis, of course. The land features many animals, such as deer, bears, and other more conventional wildlife. However, the most dangerous the the wild creatures native to Iliogis is the fearsome Kaiser Lizard. Massive reptile-like predators with huge, strong jaws, long, muscular legs, and small, two-fingered hands, they are an extremely dangerous creature. Thankfully, they are also quite rare.

    Specialization: Hunting, Fishing, and Warfare

National History: It is believed that Amazons were originally human settlers of Iliogis, long, long ago. It is not entirely clear how they came to be in their current state, as records are rather scattered even for the Amazons themselves. Many Amazonian historians have attempted to delve into this at one point or another, but failed to secure any useful information. However, there are many records after the emergence of the Amazons as a people. In the beginning, they were rather scattered, various towns headed by a single elder. They came into contact with the other native people of Iliogis, the harpies, the nem, and even the mermaids for the Amazons dwelling on the coast. Contact between these races varied, though for the most part it was positive. Still, there were occasional skirmishes and even battles, mostly between the Amazons rather than between the different races. As time wore on, however, they began to realize how much they shared in terms of beliefs. For all Amazons held great value in the bonds between one another, and the Sun. This lead them to a simple conclusion: At one point, the Amazons had been one people. It made perfect sense among them, their beliefs, the fact that all of them were female, all of it. This began the Great Unification, the diplomatic meeting between all the Amazonian communities. They became united as a race, working as a whole. The system of Elders as a government was abolished, and replaced with a council of elected representatives. They were stationed in the largest of the Amazons' towns, Prasikoila, until the construction of the coastal capital Ilioevnoipolis was completed. Even prior to the arrival of Reon, the Amazons had a strong belief in a sun goddess. And after her arrival and the proof of her nature, there was little hesitation in worshipping her. Cathedrals, elegant structures dedicated to the goddess, now dot the land of Iliogis. Even belief in a moon goddess by the Nem has been assimilated into Reon worship.

Alliances: TBA(decided in thread and RP)

    Enemies: TBA(the same)

    Notable People:
  • Tanya Palayen, the champion of Reon. A paladin serving Reon with dedication for her entire life, at the young age of eighteen Tanya was chosen as Reon's champion. Clad in heavy armor, enchanted to be light on her small form, and wielding a sword and a hammer bathed in divine fire, Tanya is equipped to deal with the enemies of Iliogis. She is especially effective against undead. Much like her goddess, Tanya is rather temperamental and easily-irritated.

  • Meles Nalae, the High Priestess of the Church of Reon. Meles is the religious leader(well, below Reon herself at least) of Iliogis, or at least of the Amazons. She is clad in a crimson outfit, flowing robes covered in symbols representing lilies. She serves to assist Reon in guiding the people and conveying her messages, as well as helping to organize a system of worship. Her personality is somewhat deceiving, as she appears rather good-natured and lackadaisical. However, she is highly intelligent and well-educated in reality, which helps to temper Reon's attitude.

  • The Council of the Amazons, composed of thirty elected representatives, is the governing body for the Amazons in Iliogis. Taking advisement from Reon, they form various policies and political decisions as a group, guiding the Amazons in the ways they feel are best for the people. Naturally, policies must be voted on for it to reach council judgement, and the council themselves must make their decision on it from there. The council is elected every five years.

Oh right, before I go to sleep and forget... I hope it's okay if I stake my claim for the dwarf territory. It's just that it seemed like the most mountainous area and thus the most fitting, really, so I hope that's okay.

    Nation

    Name: Arashe

Location: A temperate zone that is known for its sweeping valleys and clear rivers.

Government: A democracy where the various clans and guilds send their representatives as their spokesperson.

Dominant race: They are a clan of elves that have taken to improving themselves physically after being exiled, with body types that are trended more towards lean than slender. Their ears are a bit smaller than the norm and their hair are on the darker side of the spectrum. Eventually, they became known as an elf subspecies and nowadays they call themselves Larue N'hen (Spirited Exiles) with no small amount of pride.

Other races: They domesticated wolves and bred them to become even more efficient pack hunters than they were in nature. If anything, the wolves are a bit larger and more ferocious than their wild counterparts. Buffaloes are their cattle and they have a thriving fish farm due to the rivers criss-crossing their region. Tamed brown hawks are used to deliver messages.

Wild Flora/fauna: Wild wolves roam the region, as well as owlbears (body of bear with owl heads). Wyverns also fly the skies, territorial reptiles with some draconic and avian qualities armed with stinger tails and beaks, as well as winged forelegs. Other than that, lynxes, moose, waterfowl such as ducks and geese, and various other rodents live in the area.

Specialization: The nation of Arashe specializes in Agriculture and Metallurgy, even coming up with a living metal that acts much like a plant and grows from absorbing nutrients to create more of itself. They also believe that the best way to keep the peace is to be ready for any invader, and thus has a mindset that those who train their bodies as well as their minds are to be respected. As a result of this, Arashe is very martial and values martial ability such as the fighting forms and swordsmanship. As a result, the Larue N'hen has a high amount of schools that focus on fighting, leading to many, many martial arts styles.

National History: The Larue N'hen were a particularly outspoken minority of young elves in the past that constantly clashed with the more conservatives and prideful elders, resulting in the troublemakers being willingly exiled for complaining about how stifling certain traditions and laws were. Moving far away from their elders and through many lands, they finally settled in an unclaimed region rife with wildlife and set about creating exploring their new surroundings to adapt to. Soon, frontier towns sprang forth and the younger generation began to live in the rough lands and constantly challenged themselves, becoming hardy and resilient as well as flexible and adaptable. From that point on, they began to focus on arming themselves with both knowledge and power to repulse anyone that wants to take away their hard-earned freedom. War magic was researched, new fighting tactics were made, and body strengthening became cultural. Yet, they always kept in mind to never step past certain boundaries, remembering the hubris and arrogance of their original nation. Honor was for those that did the right thing and fought only in contests or for self defense, and never for ambition or invasions.

    Alliances: To be updated.

    Enemies: To be updated.

Notable People: The Clan/Guild Leaders are important due to the fact that they control sizable groups of influence as well as participating in elections and senates to determine the Prime Minister and other government officials.

Other: Their living metal are composed mainly of an iron base, since that metal is rather easy to find in the area. Other variants such as silver, gold, and even mithril exist. By blending together a living metal and another metal, you can make fruit alloys of a stronger metal without the need of manually forging them together, though they still need a bit of touching up if you are planning on utilizing them outside of their raw state.
    God

    Name: Hardy

Title(s): Titan Slayer, Friend to All Children, Big Little Sister, Hunter of Hunters, Furious Mother, The True Innocent One, and Source of Myriad Joys.

Seat of Power: Hardy's center of power would be... a rather beautiful meadow. In the day time, a rainbow canvas of flowers and fruit trees dot the place with a stream of the purest spring water flowing forth in the area. At night, certain plants bloom to give the place a gentle gold and silver glow, giving a different kind of beauty. It is nestled within the roots of a giant tree that's as big as a mountain and whose wood is so dense and strong and thick that ordinary people have to hack away for an entire week with steel weapons just to cut a half a foot's worth into its trunk. Those who are caught attempting to deface the Great Mother Tree or the DIvine Meadow usually gets beaten eight ways to Sunday.

Divine Aspects: Life, Growth, and Nature

Appearance: Hardy only has one form, and it is that of a rather young elf maiden. Like most of her people, she prefers an attire that is pretty and practical.

    Artifacts:
Giant Killer: A Living Metal weapon imbued with both her divine blood and the wood of her Great Tree of Birth. As a result, it is incredibly dense and magically potent, with an ability to mimic the properties of other metals found in nature. She uses the aspect of quicksilver to morph it into different weapon forms and mithril to harden it. The most notable forms being a slender yet incredibly long one edged sword or a giant war bow. Like its name implies, it is a weapon made to destroy giant creatures. A single swing from the sword can cut ordinary dragons in half and its bow form is significantly stronger than her nation's biggest and strongest siege crossbow. Because it is connected with her, she can wield the thing with ease. Other individuals wouldn't even be able to lift the thing off the ground at all, even if they amassed a hundred people to try. She can also lend it to others for a brief moment.
Great Mother Tree: The mountain sized tree that she was born from. Any and all materials coming from the tree is magically dense and powerful due to it amassing her excess powers ever since she was born. It acts as a giant energy reserve for her in times where she runs out and needs a quick boost. It can also defend itself by entangling its giant network of roots at the foot of an invading army and dragging them deep underground, or flinging sharp leaves that can cut through stone at the invader. Considering each leaf is the size of a person and it has enough room in its branches for a million of them at the very least, invaders will meet very staunch opposition when trying to attack the tree.
Divine Meadow: It serves as a place of great inspiration for her followers, holding great powers of purification. Curses and evil spirits cannot exist at all in this place, and all but the most powerful of negative magics are outright dissolved once taken into the boundaries. Other than that, the great beauty of the place makes causes people to think of new ways to advance their arts (songs, plays, dance, paintings, etc.) due to the beauty found there.

    Unique abilities:
Surge of Life: An ability that allows her to pump excess life energy into her surroundings as well as turning divine energy to that which could naturally be found in nature. Areas where she walks will be full of life energy for a short while and new growth would pop up in her wake. Areas that has her reside in for a certain amount of time will become prosperous and blooming. It can even reclaim lands lost to desertification and purified tainted waters.
Nature's Blessing: Where she can connect her heart with that of plants and animals, allowing her to converse and ask them for their aid It also reverts her back to a more primal state where instincts are at an all time high and restrictions of civilization has been lifted. In this forth, she can run up flat inclines and across water, toss about boulders like pebbles, and launch herself hundreds of feet into the sky to attain pseudo flight. She can swim like a fish, swing like a monkey, and emulate the wild kingdom's various specialties like she was born an animal herself through divine mimicry of actions. Physical prowess is pushed to the limits to attain the best possible way to hunt down those who dare intrude upon her territory.

Personal History: Hardy was found when the exiled elven youths claimed the fertile yet rugged lands near the dwarven mountains. Or rather, the giant tree was found. Looking up, they found that a single silver giant peach was growing from the lowest branch. Eagerly seeing it as a sign that they should settle down in this wild place, they built their first settlement underneath the Great Mother Tree. As the last building was put up, the unusually large fruit plummeted to the ground, causing a sizable crater at the outskirts of their pioneer town. As they rushed on over to investigate, they found that what emerged was an elf that looked much like them... though she was imbued with knowledge and powers that were beyond their understanding. The fact that she could survive in places where even the most powerful predators tread and actually cowed them led the others to believe that she was a goddess... which she was. Soon, she was tempted into civilization due to her curiosity and found it so enjoyable that she took the role of protector for the to be named nation of Arashe.

Personality: Hardy could be summed up in two words most of the time: innocent and happy. She positively enjoys all the wonders that life has to offer and is often full of curiosity for anything that catches her attention. She also can never act regal like most other gods, as she finds it much too stuffy and forced. Rather, she acts either more like a motherly/big sister kind of authority figure that is full of love for her charges. On matters she doesn't know, she assumes a persona of a little sibling, eagerly asking "what's this for?" and "how does that work?". On some occasions though, Hardy assumes a serious and merciless persona. Most of the time this is for when injustices are enacted or when her nation is invaded, leading to her slaying the vermin that threatens to disturb her charges, channeling the disposition of an angry mother beast coming to the defense of her beloved children.
Oh right, me and Rin talked it out and we decided that the elves and dwarves will be allies. XD
