Steve Rogers woke up on his couch, to the title screen of a Star Wars movie... After working out the day before, he ordered some pizza, and put in the next episode of Star Wars. It amazed him how great the effects were, but most people would laugh at him saying so now. He wondered what Sharon was doing as he was watching it, but decided not to make himself look desperate... girls didn't like that, right? It didn't take long for him to pass out though, what with him flying to the Alps, fighting off soldiers, and diving down the mountain side...

Now that he was awake, he looked at the clock and saw that it was 5 in the morning. Steve dressed in a sweatshirt and pants, quietly made his way out of his apartment to not wake anyone, and silently exited the apartment. It didn't take him long to run around all of Manhattan Island. As the day went on though, he saw that it was going to be cold... Would Sharon be okay with spending time with him with this weather? He jogged back to his apartment, it now being 7. Once in his apartment he took a shower, making sure to wash out all the sweat, and debris from yesterday's Alps adventure.

He spent a while pacing back and forth at his wardrobe, thinking on what to wear.... After many attempts to find something, he settled on one outfit . He did his hair in a neat and tidy fashion (but not greased down and fit perfectly, it natural, of course), brushed his teeth (white and shiny!), and put on a bit of cologne. Was this too much? He didn't know what this was, but he really didn't want to make a bad impression. But then again, he's Captain America! the living legend! Don't get too full of yourself, Rogers. You're still the guy from Brooklyn.

What felt like an eternity passed, and it was finally 1:57. Would he look weird if he showed up then? Should he wait at exactly 2? No, that would be weirder... He grabbed his keys, his motorcycle ones too. he thought it would be easier than walking across the island, and of course his S.H.I.E.L.D. card that let him buy basically anything... he hesitated grabbing his shield... he shouldn't need it, right? They were just going to lady liberty. And he didn't want to look like he was trying to show off... He made the long way across the hall, and knocked a couple times before stepping back, his hands folded in a military manner. The door opened, and he was yet again amazed at how she looked. Everything from her hair in the pony tail to the shoes she wore made Steve feel nervous yet happy at the same time. He snapped out of his trance. "Hm? Oh! yeah, the trolls were no problem. I keep calling the pest control guys about it. Always think I'm joking." Steve smiled.

"Are you ready to go? Or do you need something heavy to be carried first?" Steve said jokingly although he wouldn't mind at all if he did have to lift anything. Steve would be willing to lift the Empire State building if she asked.

Light tan pants, a dark shirt and a black jacket. As she stepped outside and turned to shut and lock her door, she bit her lower lip as her heart pounded in her chest. God he was such a good looking guy! Why was he so innocent and adorable and handsome?! It’s hard to believe that he would walk around in such a casual manner. Isn’t he supposed to be a stuck up snob when you look as good as he does? Oh well she was going to have fun today; or is this is a date or…

The door latched shut and she let go of her bottom lip as she turned around, taking in the site of the gorgeous man in front of her. God he was so yummy. “I’ll have to make that call too, maybe if two people call they’ll believe it… that or they’ll think we’re both crazy. But crazy loves company right? No I don’t need to anything lifted… yet, maybe later. Give me some time I’ll think of something I’m sure.” She said with a small laugh as they started down the stairs. Her heart was pounding louder then their footsteps and a slight fear set into her that he might hear it. So instead she chose to start a conversation. “If you don’t mind I’d like to make a stop at the grocery store before we come back. I’m missing apples in my house and that’s something that I need in order to make a certain dessert.” Her voice was playful as she stated it, curious on if he’d catch onto what she was referencing to.

As they walked down the stairs, she took in the layout of the apartment building, noting fire escapes, control plans, fire alarms, and any good hiding places in case the man she was walking with gets attacked for some reason. She was sent to watch over him, to make sure that he was adapting well (still not quite sure what that means) but he could also be someone of large importance that needs protecting… Fury had a habit of not giving out all the information that someone could really need. But… maybe if she had the full information she would not want to be around him, or maybe it would make him even more interesting… Nah, don’t worry about it now Sharon, just enjoy the time together. She reminded herself as they continued down the stairs.

Steve laughed at her comment on the trolls, and finding something for heavy lifting. He waited for her to lock her door, and letting her lead the way, he walked after her. "If it was anything but apples, I may have had to say no." Steve said jokingly, glancing over at her, but instantly back as he almost tripped on a step. Steve had already mapped out the place long ago, he assumed that there were many people who would want Captain Steve Rogers dead... he could never be too careful.

They both stepped outside, and the temperature dropped rather quickly... But that didn't stop a group of kids playing good old fashioned street baseball. Steve watched them for a second, smiling at the thought that some traditions weren't dead in this modern New York. Steve never got the chance to play way back when... due to his asthma, and vitamin deficiencies, and the fact that if the ball ever did make contact with the bat, his arm would have snapped.

"So, we can take a walk to Lady Liberty on this wonderful sunny day." Steve said with a bit of sarcasm. "Or we can take your car, a taxi, or my bike." Steve said. He didn't know if she had a car or not, and didn't want to make her feel like they had to take his motorcycle... although the feeling of her arms around him would probably feel pretty good... No, stop Steve. You just met the girl!

When they stepped outside, he held the door open for her; which was a jaw dropping experience (but she had just enough strength to keep her mouth from falling open in surprise). It wasn’t so much that he opened the door, it was that he opened the door, stepped to the side and let her out before letting the door fall from his grasp. Old traditions like that seem to have died before she was even born. Most men now will just push open the door and expect you to walk through before it fell back and hit you in the side. But not Steven Rogers, no no no. And was Sharon excited? Yes yes yes!

Her face turned a small shade of pink with embarrassment when he asked how they would be traveling. This was something she had questioned herself but she never had time to purchase a car. The poor girl was either traveling, working or sleeping. That really seems to be what her life consists of until now. She had some free time now! “I actually haven’t purchased a car yet, I’m saving up for it though. And we could take a cab if you’re worried I might crush you on your bike.” As her cheeks faded from the blush she shot him a cheesy playful smile. “I’ve never been on a bike before, unless you could bicycles. That being said, if you can handle me squeezing onto you for dear life than sure, we can take your bike.” Oh she’d hang on alright, even if she wasn’t scared… wait… she shouldn’t be thinking like that!

Steve had no idea that the "holding doors open for women" died down, but if he was told he would have been greatly upset! When she talked about not having a car, Steve shook his head. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you in any way..." He said , seeing how embarrassed she got. First minute of their get together and he's already failing. But she then talked about never being in a motorcycle, and he smiled. "Motorcycle it is. I wasn't a fan of them until I used it back in the military." He said: he had a nice one too, which he would use to travel across Europe on it... But his newer one is even better. Who knew what 70 years could do to a bike!

"I'll try to take it slow so you don't have to cling for dear life." Steve said, although he wish he didn't. He walked over to his bike, and pulled out of the side pouch a motorcycle helmet, it was a glossy dark blue, like what his captain America suit color looked like. He didn't dare Add the white "A" to the front. He would end up like stark!

"You can wear this if you want. I think my head is too thick to break." Steve smiled again. He couldn't help it! He had no intention of crashing, or doing anything stupid with her on board. "We can drove around a bit to see the city, since you and I haven seen this place in a while... Did she want to stay on, or just make their way to Lady Liberty?

“No no no, you didn’t offend me!” She said quickly, correcting him in an innocent manner. Great! Now he thinks that he offended her when it was far from the truth she just, didn’t have time to get one. “I just haven’t gotten around to getting one yet that’s all. That and I haven’t really had a need for anything more than the heel-toe express.” Her voice was upbeat and fun, a lot different than she was at S.H.I.E.L.D. and much more herself. Damn the glasses but if she was going to be on a bike than she was probably better off with her hair up anyway.

Following him to the bike she took a moment to check him out from the back. God… he was the perfect man specimen. Her heart skipped a beat and she quickly looked in the complete opposite direction of him before ‘casually’ looking back at him. Oh yes she was smooth and her brain was being completely sarcastic to her. “I’ll try not to break a rib of yours if that makes any difference.” She said in a playfully tone as she took the helmet from him. Observing the helmet was a bit surprising and highly familiar, her eyebrows lowered in thought questioning where she had seen this specific color of blue before she relaxed her face and shrugged it off; if she didn’t remember right away than it can’t be a big deal.

Slipping the helmet on over her head, she tightened the strap as he got ready with the bike. God that was a sight too! Seeing him on a bike, “I’d be up for seeing the city if you don’t have any other plans that this might conflict; I don't want to keep you from anyone important like a girlfriend and get you into trouble." Oh yes, she was testing those grounds. That and she didn't want some angry woman banging on her door demanding to know why she was hanging out with her boyfriend. That would/could be awkward. "And so long as the apples don’t disappear from the grocery store I really don’t have any other plans today.” When she was given the okay she slid on the bike behind him. She was nervous, she could have a steady hand in the most stressful situations when it comes to work but the second you put her around a hot guy she’s walking on coals. As he started the bike she wasn’t quite sure what to expect but when they started going forward she instantly put her arms around his waist; blaming it mentally on fear of her first motorbike ride ever but it was mainly to be near him and smell his cologne that seemed to mix nicely with her cinnamon scented perfume.

"No, no plans, except I have to finish the Star Wars saga sometime, but that can wait." He said, turning away from her to find his keys, he then climbed on to the bike himself, turning to look at the blonde once more in his helmet. She even looked gorgeous in that! "All aboard." Steve said, his heart thumping as he felt her body get on the bike. And as for the girlfriend part he laughed and shook his head. "Believe it or not... This is one of the longest conversations I've had with a woman." He said honestly, his mind thinking of Peggy once again, but those images soon faded as he started the bike, and rode down the street, and miss Sharon carter holding on to his waist. Her touch was electrifying, like he was being injected with the serum again! His muscles tensed not to try and impress her, but because he was getting nervous yet again.

The ride through the streets of New York was great, the cold weather was a least of Steve's worries. He drove through lanes of traffic, looking back at Sharon to see her staring at the skyscrapers. This place was so much different than it was in 1939, and much different from the battle of New York. As they drove he saw people wearing iron man masks, others holding Thor's hammer, and he smiled a bit when he was kids wearing his helmet and shield. What made this much better was the feel of Sharon's body close to his, her as tight around him, and the smell of her cinamon perfume.

They eventually made it to the end of the island, where they could catch a ferry to Liberty island. He climbed off first, offering his hand to help her off. "So, how was the first bike ride?" Steve asked with yet another smile he couldn't stop producing.

The longest conversation he’s had with a woman. He must be modest… or if he’s honest, that’s even more adorable. Sharon’s mind was wondering as she climbed onto the back of the bike and held onto him as they went through the streets. Her arms wrapped around his waist she kept her attention on anything but him; his muscles flexing, probably because riding with an inexperienced ride was making him nervous but it wasn’t helping that he was flexing. She could feel the indent of his six pack abs and strong chest as her hands moved when she adjusted herself on the seat and sat upright a bit more. God he was hot.

It had been a long time since she had been in New York City, she lived in Jersey before S.H.I.E.L.D. moved her across the hall from Steve. Why again did this guy need looking after? He seems well enough to look after himself. But that was the last thing on her mind, she was too taking back by how big New York had become and just how well rebuilt the city had become thanks to the hard work of the construction people after the battle. Oh that… that was not a pretty battle.

The trip was too short for her liking, the feeling of being on the back of the bike felt freeing… but it also could have been the fact that she had an excuse to lean herself against a hot guy, that’s a great excuse right? Undoing the strap from around her chin, she pulled the helmet off of her head and shook it slightly. Her blue gaze turned up to Steve as they twinkled with excitement. “It was amazing! I can’t believe that I’ve never done it before! Thank you for being my first.” She said with a cheeky grin as she reached out, taking his hand and starting to stand. “My legs on the other hand, don’t quite know what to think at the moment.” She spoke as she lifted her leg to step over the bike and as if on cue her legs wobbled and she felt forward directly into Steve with a thump. Granted she wasn’t very heavy but he didn’t even stumble. Her legs were obviously shaking from the left over vibration from the bike and… well a little bit of nerves that kicked in from falling onto him. Face flushing instantly red at her impact she looked up at him with those innocent blue eyes. “I’m so sorry, my legs gave way.” It was too obviously that her legs were shaking in her jeans that she wasn’t lying but she did attempt to stand upright again only to feel herself ready to fall once more. She should probably sit on a non-moving surface for a little while. “Where you use wobbly or am I just weird?”

Steve smiled brightly at her response to riding on the motorcycle, and nodded. "I'm glad you liked it. and also glad that I was there to witness your first motorcycle ride." He took her soft yet strong hand as she carefully climbed off the bike, and she fell over, leaning on top of him. He grabbed her softly on her arms to prevent her from falling. He looked down at her as she looked up at him with those incredibly stunning eyes... He was just staring, at a loss for words, seeing her smile weakly melted his heart. "....just weird?"

He snapped back to reality, and realized just what she said. He shook his head, giving her a weak smile. "No... First time I got off Bucky's bike he had to give me a piggy back ride... Not really the best self esteem booster for either of us..." Steve said, his brain trying really hard to find the words for that story. "Are you alright?" he finally asked her after his brain started to get under control. "You want a bench to recuperate?" He asked. He didn't mind at all if she still wanted to use him as balance

Sharon hated feeling weak, that was something she detested with all of her might and wanting nothing to do with feeling weak, lower or caught in any fashion and right now; she was all three. Weak kneed, lower because she fell forward and caught by his strong hands helping her stay upright. But somehow, in some strange way, she felt okay feeling ‘weak’ at the moment. For the first time in her life, she felt safe and safe was a new feeling for her.

His story made a much more confident smile instead of her pathetically weak one. If someone like him could have issues getting off a bike then there was no reason she couldn’t. “I’m glad I’m not the only one.” She said with a nod. When he asked if she was alright, she placed her hands gently on his forearms, holy crap they were big… and used him for balance as she stuck one leg out, giving it a shake than did the same with the other. “Okay, I think I’ve regained my ability to walk. Though… my butt’s still vibrating which is an experience I’ve only had on those massage chairs at the fair where is just shakes you for five minutes.” Her tone was all joking as she let go of his forearms rather slowly, not really wanting to, and gave him a smile. “Shall we?”

As they started towards the pier to join the next fair she began to question if this was a date date or just two people going somewhere together. If he paid for it, that makes it a date right? But if she paid for herself than it wasn’t, right? How do you go about asking something like that? As the ticket counter grew closer and closer her heart sped up, waiting for the defining moment of being at the ticket booth… how do you go about something like this when you honestly don’t know?!?

Steve was comfortable when he was out in tactical situations. When bullets were flying past his head, and the feel of doing something he knows he was meant to do... but now that he had Sharon in his arms, he felt a new kind of comfortable. One that he could get used to... but it ended just as fast as it started. He couldn't blame her, of course. her comment made him laugh. "I actually think they just got rid of that chair at the exhibit." Steve said just ask jokingly. "Maybe you'll get that as a 'welcome to the neighborhood' present."

Steve was the one leading them to the ferry. This was another thing that didn't change while he was gone. As they got closer and closer to the booth, Steve wasn't wondering if him paying or not was a date... Steve still was used to the way of "Always pay for the girl you are with. Date or not." They were now at the ticket booth, and Steve stepped up without really thinking about it. "How're you doing? Two please." Steve said, pulling out his wallet. Steve turned to face Sharon, handing her her ticket. Little did he know that he just confirmed what she was wondering.

“Yes because you’ll carry it up the stairs for me.” She said just as jokingly as they walked. Those things weight at least 600 pounds there’s no way he could get it up the stairs, much less actually mean it. As they walked down the pier to the dock she felt comfortable with him; safe, relaxed and herself, it’s hard to believe that she could feel this way around someone. It was a relief in itself considering she didn’t have much she could do outside of work. Maybe she found a friend, maybe she found more than a friend… NO BAD SHARON! She lectured herself as she turned her blue gaze to the ground. You can’t think like this, if you get to close to him he could get hurt and you don’t want that! Her mind had a point but her heart hated the idea.

When he got in front of her to pay for the tickets, she held her breathe and when he turned around she stared up at him in a bit of a surprise. Was this a date? NO WAY!! Someone like him doesn’t ask out a girl like her?! No, no no, no no no no no, You’re thinking too much into this Sharon, he seems like an old fashion guy; this… this can’t be a date. Even her subconscious was questioning if it wasn’t, or was, a date date. “Since you’re getting the tickets, would you like me to get us lunch?” She asked playfully as they started towards the small fairy that waited to take them across. Yeah she asked him out for lunch, but she hadn’t ate and he might not have either. Plus it was even more of a reason to spend time with him. Would he tell her no? Would he tell her that he’d pay for lunch too? If he did, then she’d have to classify this as a date, old fashioned or not, if a girl offers to pay that’s when the decision is made by the man whether it’s a date or not… right?

Her remark about him lifting the chair into the apartment made him laugh softly, but her face when he handed her the ticked made him nervous yet again. Did he do something wrong? Was something in his teeth? Her question was asked with a smile, so he didn't do anything bad, right? He shook his head, giving a smile. "You made lunch for me yesterday. I may not be a chef, but the least I can do is pay for today." Steve said with a shrug. The look on her face made him realize what he just set in stone. This was a date... When Bucky would try and get them to do a double date, Buck and him would always pay, but it would mostly always end with Bucky with both of the girls (who could blame them? He was everything Steve wasn't)... Did she want this to be a date? Steve liked her, but did Sharon like him? They just met, but should that matter?

His heart pounded as he looked at her beautiful blue eyes again. "What are you in the mood for, Miss Carter?" He asked, looking away from her before his heart started to pound out of his chest.

The look on her face when he said that he’d pay for it was more or less… well adorable. She never got shy because her job didn’t really allow her to. Her cheeks turned a shade of pink and she looked down at her feet, an unmistakable happy shy smile moved across her full glossy pink lips. She was on a date, with a really attractive guy! This never happened to Sharon before, her last boyfriend was nothing more than a casual at-high-school dating so this was more than she’s ever had before. “Fair enough.” She said playfully as she turned her blue gaze up to him, looking up at the tall buff man through her lenses. God he was so cute…

“Since you’re buying I’ll eat anything.” Sharon spoke sweetly and playfully as they walked towards the little boat and climbed aboard to be taken over to Lady Liberty. “Please, call me Sharon.” Her gaze turned upward watching the Statue get closer and closer. Her body shifted slightly with the rocking of the boat and she put her hands on the railing as her head leaned back further and further looking upwards at it. “How tall is it?” Her voice was filled with astonishment as she looked up. Half of the astonishment was from Lady Liberty while the other half was based upon the fact that she was on a date with Steve Rogers, a gorgeous and amazing man. How lucky was she? Or was she just assuming it was a date? Either way, she was happy!

Steve tried to recall the last time he was on a date. It was the night before Bucky was deployed to go to Europe. They went to Howard Stark's Technology Expo, where he ditched his date to try and enlist in the military yet again. They climbed on board the ferry, Steve couldn't get the small smile off his face as he watched the blonde that was now his date. he hoped she didn't mind some hot dogs, the best in the world they say, although Chicago would disagree. He looked at both Lady Liberty as Sharon as they got closer and closer, when asked how big it was, he looked up at it. "305 feet, and one inch from base to torch." he said casually, leaning on the rail as well. Steve had a photographic memory thanks to the serum, everything he glanced at or read was stuck in his mind.

The ferry landed at Liberty Island, and people started filing out. Steve stood close to Sharon due to the tight space, and that he liked the smell of her perfume. Now that they were up close to the iconic symbol. "Alright, I hope you don't mind the high dining of some New York dogs." Steve said with a smile, leading them to the hot dog stand just a few feet away from the dock. This day was going a bit too perfectly... Wasn't there always a catch in Steve's life? Becoming the perfect soldier, losing his best friend in action. Getting the girl of his dreams, having to sacrifice his life to save her and the world. Somehow survive that crash, lose everyone and everything you've ever known... But the look of her smile and those eyes behind the glasses told him that he wasn't going to get any surprises like than any time soon, or at least he hoped...

Steve ordered the two hot dogs. Steve had the works on it, a classic new York styled dog, and he recited Sharon's order to the vendor before handing it to her. He also got them two sodas. "Bon Appetite" Steve said with a smile, hoping this wasn't too lame of first date cuisine.

Her eyes expanded slightly when he was exact with his height. She had expected an around-the-bout guess on the size of the statue but here he was, giving off the exact height and from what to what. Her gaze flicked up to him quickly before her full lips curled into another smile. Either he was smart or he had done a lot of research before he came to ‘pick her up’. Either way, it was impressive none the less.

In the tight space of walking out, she could feel his large presence behind her and every now and then would catch a whiff of his cologne which, in itself, was intoxicating. As she walked ahead of him, her mouth turned into a large and excited grin. Inside she was jumping up and down for joy, skipping and singing the ‘I HAVE A DATE’ song everyone gets when they go out with someone they know they’d enjoy the time with. And even though she hadn’t known Steve for very long, she was truly happy that she was with him and it was… well a date.

“Geeze aren’t we classy.” She said playfully as they started towards the hotdog stand. “I’m glad I wore my good tennis shoes.” Her voice was playful, obviously she was joking and even more obvious, she was alrigh twiht having hotdogs. The little stand was adorable, they didn’t have these in New Jersey and even at S.H.I.E.L.D. she would typically eat in the cafeteria because the food was actually pretty good. But a classic New York hotdog for lunch, why not?!

“Oh, same as him.” She said lightly to the overly happy hotdog seller. Her small hands wrapped around the large hotdog as her eyes expanded seeing the size. “Oh goodness!” She said quickly as she balanced it with a single hand as she took the other soda from him. “Cheers to a great day with a great person.” She said brightly ‘clinking’ her cup against his before taking a drink and then a bite of the hotdog. Her blue eyes expanding once again as she lost her manners and began to speak her mouth full. “Oh mmm gommm its delimmisous.” Her face than turned instantly red as she covered her mouth as an apology; oh yes, just making a fool out of herself, and now she was embarrassed.

Steve gave a nod, and tipped his sore with hers to her toast. And took a bug bite of his his own hot dog
When she started to talk with her mouth open he saw how embarrassed she became. It melted his heart to see her face. "I knowmright?" He said with his mouth open too, giving a small smile after swallowing. She wasn't going to be the only one. It might have been weird, but he wanted to let her know that it was alright, and he still thought that she was still beautiful and cute... Well, he wasn't sure thats exactly how it's gonna interpret.....

They were now making their way towards the base of the statue, so they could climb to the top. "It's a pretty sight from the top...gives you a strong sense of American pride." Steve said with a nod... This probably wasn't the most romantic thing to go to, but it wasn't bad for a first date, especially when he found out that this was one a few minutes ago.

"So, since I told you that I'm not that sociable with girls.... Will I wake up tomorrow morning with an angry... Guy ... Friend at my door?" He asked nervously. The more of thinking this as a date, the more he didn't want to be the guy who ruins a relationship with someone else.... He really really wished she wasn't seeing anyone. He might want to someone to watch Star Wars with some time in the future....

As he spoke with her mouth full she felt much less self-conscious and actually giggled behind her food. God she was giggling like a school girl talking to the jock of the school but, well she was. She wasn’t the most popular girl in school but she got along with almost everyone and now she was out with someone was good looking and gentleman like as he was. Hopefully his gentleman ways wasn’t just an act to get into her pants. First of all she’d beat him up no matter how big he was and she had enough guns hidden around her house that if she couldn’t subdue him she could threaten him to leave with a guy. She never really thought that he might be dangerous and that’s why Fury wanted her to watch him; then again Fury wouldn’t put her on something dangerous, which is why he kept her doing paperwork in the office. So that couldn’t be the case.

Soon they finished their date-lunch and started up the stairs. “I can’t wait to see it.” She said in an honest and upbeat tone as they began to climb the stairs, since she was in the front, she kept their pace slow as an excuse to talk to him more. She deserved what she was going to make at home considering she went for a run this morning and now she was climbing god knows how many stairs in order to get to the top of the Statue of Liberty. “And I can’t believe that this stayed standing during the battle. That was surprising but nice at the same time.” God this thing getting taken out… can you imagine the amount of paperwork Sharon would have had to do?!

When he spoke, she felt like she heard a bit of nervousness in his voice, a small smile moved across her full lips and the right corner curled up more into a smirk as she looked over her shoulder at the large man following behind her. “Unless you’re going to knock angrily on your own door tomorrow morning to yell at yourself for some reason then no, you don’t have to worry about that.” With that she looked forward, she realized that she had admitted that she didn’t have a boyfriend but did she also let him know that she didn’t have any guy friends either? Maybe he wouldn’t catch that, it would be embarrassing for him to put two and two together that she didn’t have a friend.

It was a long climb to the top but the conversation was kept light, fun and laughing as they climbed keeping their distance from the group ahead to have a bit more privacy thanks to Sharon’s choice of stepping. At the top she went for the nearest window and gazed out upon the city that was still being rebuilt. “Wow!” She exclaimed in an awe manner as she overlooked the city. Her blue gaze behind the glasses and turned towards ocean. “I can’t believe this watched over so many amazing people who came over to our country to escape the horrors of their country. America is really the land of the free.” Her voice was filled with a sense of pride as her chest puffed out slightly, she was proud to be an American and if she could talk about her job she’d be proud of that too.

Steve's mind raced at her comment of having no boyfriend. Of course he was oblivious to women still, so he wasn't thinking of her not having any guy friends. he was smart, and thought quickly, but that didn't help now. They kept climbing, and soon found himself alone with Sharon Carter. His heart beat started going faster, ringing in his ears as she kept going up, and then towards the window. Steve stood a bit behind her, his hands in his pockets. Her words made him feel strong. "My parents came from Ireland... My mom was pregnant with me, and they knew that the place they called home wasn't going to be good enough for me... So they moved out, got on a boat, and sailed here. the first thing they saw in the United States was Lady Liberty." He didn't know why he was telling this story. It sounded happy at first, but then ended up becoming a... soap opera? That's what they're called right? Steve was still new to the television thing.

"I've traveled many places, helping people against many bullies... No where will ever be as great as here." Steve obviously loved his country. He loved the people in it, the kids playing baseball on the street, and honest father that goes home to his wife and kids, the homeless man who had a tough break, but hasn't lost hope...the Beautiful blonde that was with him at this spot... He couldn't care less about politics, or the government, even S.H.I.E.L.D. He will do his absolute best to do the right thing for anyone who needs help, but in this day and age, what was right, and what was wrong?

He walked a bit closer to take in the view, looking at the New York skyline, the ocean, and Sharon. He let out a whistle, not knowing if it was because of the view, or the circumstances that he was here. "I never get tired of the sight..."

Sharon’s gaze moved towards Steve, raising an eyebrow in a curious manner when he said that his parents came by a boat to over the ocean instead of a plane. “Interesting that they would come by boat, classic.” She said with a smile as she looked back out, her eyebrow dropped as she placed her hands on the railing and leaned against it, overlooking the city. “It’s classic, I’d like to travel by boat one day.” A nod left her with a small smile formed across her full lips, closed lipped as she overlooked the city.

His whistled, she tried not to look at him as she felt his presence closer to her. She was tempted to lean against him, just to relax and take in his scent. But she couldn’t do that; he’d think she was weird right? A smile spread across her face showing her full straight white teeth as she overlooked the city. “I don’t blame you,” Catching that he was overlooking the view, she took a glance at him. “It really brings a lot of comfort and joy just from the view alone.” With that she looked back out over the city. “I can’t believe I’ve never been here before.”

They stayed up at the top for a while making small talk of laughs and smiles before they started back down the stairs, alone in the staircase was nice and she was tempted to stop and give an attempt to walk beside him but the steps were too tight, so she took the lead going down for the simple reason that he opened the door for her going down and she walked down. “How many times have you made this climb? Do you normally take people on their first times?” She asked in a cheesy fashion.
