Batman has had it pretty rough. Nightwing is now Agent Grayson and working for Spyral, Batgirl is separating herself from the rest of the Bat-family, Red Hood is an international gunman running with the Outlaws, and Red Robin is among the roster of the Teen Titans. The last Robin, Damian [biological son/clone of Batman] was thought to be murdered by another clone of himself, an aged anti-Batman called the Heretic... but it was all just a ruse. Damian, 13 year old former assassin and former Robin, has now taken his place at the head of the League of Assassins with his mother Talia Al Ghul. Their mission is to bring Batman down, and to take down the man you have to strike him in the heart... Gotham. With Batman's team scattered, and the Batmen Inc. disassembled, Bruce Wayne was tasked with finding new heroes to fill the gap and protect Gotham from the criminal element as well as the oncoming war with the LoA. Some with powers, others without, heroes one and all. How will this new team defend Gotham, and what lengths will they go to save the man that gave them a second chance?

So yeah, this RP will have us making a new cast of Gotham Knights to help defend Gotham against the inmates of Arkham as well as the LoA and Damian. Batman himself will be written out fairly early in the game to draw out the newest heroes. You don't have to be Bat themed, obviously, all of his former sidekicks weren't. The last time I had a similar game I used a religious themed hero called Priest for example. But they do have to have the vigilante type qualities found in most of the Batman characters.

I've already got an idea for a character, don't hate me but it's another take on a man with duplication powers. He will own a club in downtown Gotham that could very well serve as our base of operations since we won't have access to the Batcave the entire game. WIP character sheets can be posted here, once accepted they can be reposted in the OOC. Once the OOC is posted CS's will need to be sent to me via PM to be accepted to keep from cluttering the OOC with a bunch of CS's that're unaccepted and generally just confusing folks. I gotta go into work for a few hours but I'll be back around 9 EST...

Powers: She can teleport anywhere she has seen but the farther she goes or the more weight she is carrying (such as passengers), the more it drains her and can cause her to pass out if she exerts too much energy.

Skills: She is a very good street fighter and is good at gauging people and their responses.

Equipment: None (but if anybody on the team has any extra stuff she could use, she'd use it)

Personality: Strong, mistrustful, kind

Appearance: Her hair is brown with copper undertones, she has misty grey eyes, on the taller side (about 5'8" or 5'9"), thin but wiry, pale skin, and a burn scar on the right side of her body from the middle of her belly to the top of her right shoulder.

Brief Bio: When she was 8, her parents and little brother were killed when her house burned down, which was also when she got the scar and discovered her teleportation powers. She spent 4 years in foster homes but ran away and started living on the streets, using her powers to protect herself. She learned how to fight and live off the land early on and when she was 17 she started protecting people when she could (muggings, gang fights, that sort of thing).
She didn't go to a regular school but she went to the library a lot and read lots of books to try and make up for it. She often struggles with guilt about her little brother's death but tries her hardest to show no weaknesses as a means to protect herself. She isn't trustful of strangers but if someone manages to earn her trust she is fiercely loyal to them. She has hot headed impulses but manages to keep them under control most of the time, and if she gets really angry she has a hard time controlling herself.

Notes: She always tries to do the right thing, even if it means putting herself in danger.

BRIEF Bio - Kindra is the Daughter of Selina Kyle her father unknown.
Her mother she her to the finest private boarding schools in Europe where Kindra's intelligence was cultured and fed.
It was when Kindra reached puberty that she displayed traits to her mother which Selina recognized as being similar to her own. Worried that without proper supervision that her daughter might get into trouble Selina brought her home and began seeing to teaching her what she was and making sure that she didn't stray into crime as she had, why she did this is still an unanswered question.
Kindra began studying collage courses online graduating in a year with a degree in business management at 17
It was at this time that her mother disappeared causing Kindra to don one of her mother's old costumes and seek out her mother or her abductors.
It took five weeks of bending arms and engaging in breaking an entering along with a few other questionable activities to track down her mom who was being blackmailed.
After rescuing her mom Kindra found she'd caught the Vigilante bug and began honing her skills on the light weights of crime as encouraged by her mother.
"A Kitten must first learn to prey on bugs then small mice before she takes her first true kill" is what her mother told her.
Trained by a former mistress of the under world gave Kindra an insight few beginning crime fighters have.

Additionally, trauma plates are placed in vital areas, these plates are capable of refracting impact and distributing it evenly over a wider area to lessen blows. Similarities can be drawn both to explosive and reactive armor. The suit's cowl includes a HUD display capable of analyzing the environment and enemies as well as including a para-cape allowing Nightwing to glide.

Flash bombs and smoke pellets are also equipped on the suit as well as standard communication tech and a last resort identity protection measure, the suit contains a high voltage charge which will activate if anyone tries to remove it from Reynard's body.

Born in Hub City, Reynard grew up seeing the ugly side of crime and constantly being pressured into joining gangs. Wanting to escape this life, Rey's father decided it would be better if the family moved to Gotham and contacted his brother Lucius to see if he could help them out. Assisting in the movie, Lucius and his family welcome Reynard's to the city of Gotham but it didn't take long for Rey to realize that they had escaped the frying pan only to jump into the fire. That said however, Gotham had something that Hub City didn't, the Batman. As he went through highschool, Rey became inspired by the Batman and devoted his extra time to training in whatever he could in order to one day be able to fight crime like the Dark Knight. It was during this time that Rey discovered his latent meta-gene which actually made him much more formidable at martial arts due to his faster reaction time and increased balance. As such, Rey developed into an accomplished acrobat and fighter, beginning to take cues from watching footage of various members of the Batfamily but most notable Nightwing due to a similarity between their styles.

When Nightwing's 'death' was broadcast on live television, Rey could scarcely believe his eyes and swore to avenge his fallen idol. Breaking into his Uncle's labs using a 'borrowed' ID badge, Rey managed to commandeer himself a prototype suit that was originally intended for the former Batman Inc project. Using what knowledge he had learned from both his father and Uncle, plus a little Youtube and internet help, Rey customized the suit's appearance and dubbed himself the new Nightwing equipping it with other stolen weapons and hitting the streets of Gotham. While he's still learning, Rey intends to become a force to be reckoned with as he aims to aid Batman's crusade on crime.

His body produces a large amount of Stemcelles that he can modify, both internally in his body, and, more effectively, by using technology to modify the cells. His powers allows him to do a large variety of things, anything from changing his bloodtype to donate to someone else, to change his eye color, to make certain aspects of his physique superhuman, things as metabolism, strength and healing factor are all things he can alter in himself, and by extension, in others.

BRIEF Bio -

Raised in a rather normal household, his father a scientist at Kord Industries, where Cas himself dreamed he'd work. Cas was considered a genius since childhood, his score in tests his father did on him were off the charts, and his father, James, made sure to feed his interest for science. Cas's life was pretty normal for the middle class in central city, his life got strange in High School, where he started to get bullied. Deciding he wanted to do something different with his life, he joined the army. In 2011, he was sent to Afghanistan, where after a four month long tour he came back home, wounded, having lost his left arm in a explosion as well as injured most of the rest of his body.

His father worked hard on figuring out a way to help his son, with a electric prosthetic arm he thought he had found the solution to allow his son full mobility again. However, while testing the arm, something malfunctioned, the arm electrocuting Cas, putting him in a coma for four months. When Cas woke up, he felt different. His left arm had regrown, and his body had started producing stem-cells again. Caspian spent the next two years getting his PHD in Bio-engineering, that helped him understand what was happening with him. Soon, he'd apply to work for Wayne Industries, getting the position he moved to Gotham, earning himself a manager-position he took it upon himself to help the city of Gotham the best way he could, putting his powers to full use.

Worked closely with Batman multiple times, no clue Batman's Bruce. Incidentally, he's also worked with Bruce on several projects.

He is calculative because deep down he is a good man and his end goal is the annihilation of all organized crime, which he is doing from the inside. He is also desperate because he knows the lifespan of an average Gotham mobster. If the cops don't arrest you, you're sure to end up on an autopsy table.

Brief Bio-
Victor is a lifelong Gothamite, and was born into street gangs and the mob, but he knew he was destined for something more. His father was an enforcer for pay for many of Batman's Rogues, and his mother was a mafia mistress. When he was around 15 years of age, his father could pull through for a job so Two-Face sent several goons to their home and tortured the man and made his mother and him watch. It was during this nightmare that his metagene activated and he beat the shit out of the thugs.

Harvey Dent took notice, and enslaved his mother to keep Victor on his side of the tracks, threatening her life in exchange for his services. Unknown to the crazed Boss, Victor began formulating a plan to take down his and all other Families. During a job of breaking into Wayne Enterprises, he was confronted by Batman and was provided a way out of his life of crime, by helping the caped crusader from within. So Victor adopted the codename "Vulture" because he fed off the energy of deseperate, dead souls of hitmen and other ner do wells.

Galahad is highly trained in hand to hand combat, able to keep up with some of the greates martial artists in the world. He seems to have extensive training in covert ops, focusing on how to penetrate high security facilities. He is an excellant marksman and understands bomb making. He understands the criminal mind, perhaps having an intimate personal knowledge of such things.

Equipment

Galahad wears the Knight armour, a incredibly sophiscitcated and advanced exo-suit that that allows him to wage personal war on crime. The suit looks like a hybrid of the plate armour that a medieval knight would have worn and modern ballistics protective gear, though incredibly light weight. The armour itself affords a high degree of protection from harm to the wearer, allowing them to take hits that would normally prove fatal, as well as being largely fire resistant, insulated and explosion proof. The helm has a built in oxygen supply, as well as several differnt vision types and a commlink to Aaron. The suit has flight capabilites, thanks to jets in the boots and back plate.

As to arnaments, the suit has many. Two wrist mounted guns (much like dead shots) allow him to take on foes from range, and feature a host of different ammo types, amongst them armour piercing rounds and grappel lines. The right shoulder houses a missle launcher. Several compartments secrete numerous blades around the armour, for close combat and ranged fighting. There is also hidden slots for tactical grenades such as flash bangs, incendaries and smoke.

Dr Aaron Kitchell has lived in Gotham his whole life. Despite living in one of the most dangerous cities on the planet since he was a baby he still feels safe. Why, you ask? The answer is the Batman. The Dark Knight has saved Kitchell from an inglourious mugging, death by Joker toxin and from being bitten by a fairly big dog. Kitchell has long idolised Batman, even though he knows that his hero wouldn't even recognise him. To repay the Caped Crusader and help him in his war on crime Aaron used his considerable personal fortune and engineering knowledge to develop the Knight armour, a suit with great potential for urban conflict. Although Aaron orginially intended to don the suit himself and fight alonside the bat he quickly realised that he lacked the necessary courage for such a thing. No, he would need a worthy partner, someone to 'pilot' the armour for him.

Though the worthy part is debateble he did get a partner in the guise of Galahad, a violent vagabond with a mysterious past and a desire to war on crime that burns as fierce as Aaron's desire to aid the Bat. Though dysfunctional they do make an effective team, with Galahad acting in the field and Aaron as mission control. Alone they may be less than heroic, but together they just might make it.

He doesn't have a PhD in Medicine.

Bruce had four PhD's at the age of what, 22?, and Bruce didn't have a superhuman understanding of what field it is he's studying. He did his Ranger training at the age of 17, because that's when he enlisted, came back to the states at the age of 19, spending the year between 17 - 19 training. Lost his arm, discovered he had powers, studied for two years. Genius, remember.

If you still think it's necessary to bump up his age, I could do that. Also, like Wraith said, good to be here. Old times sake and all.

A phd takes six to eight years for medicine, and your guy is a step up from that with one in genetics on top of a medical background. Doesn't matter how ridiculously quick a billionaire like Bruce made it happen, cause his money does the work for him. Also, it's why I quoted the above from my opening post. Doesn't matter how good we are in anything, 99% of the time Batman is better.
