[OOC] X-Men: United We Stand

[Omega Man]

So the school is getting by after Cyclops became a revolutionary and split from the core X-Men after killing Xavier while possessed by the Pheonix Force. Scott Summers went on to buck authority and reevaluate his stance on mutant rights, but the rest of the X-Men were targeted as possible threats. When a new General in the MRD, using new Sentinel tech and weaponry, decides to neutralize the threat personally, he hires an inside man in the Institute to plant a virus in Cerebro which causes the Mansion to go into lockdown mode and several students and staff are killed and large sections of the dorms and school are damaged from panicking students with uncontrollable powers. Shadowcat, Colossus, Iceman, and Storm are captured, and are eventually tortured and experimented on [cloned, somewhat... NEW ENEMIES!!! LOL]. It's up to Beast to get things rolling on the rebuilding of the school, and the X-Men. The students themselves asked if there was anything they could do. Another just asked about getting a costume. Either way... united they stand, as the New X-Men.

This is where we come in. Students who survived the chaos at the mansion/school. We'll use an old danger room location about thirty yards away from the tennis courts underground that was converted into a bomb shelter should something big happen and the students needed to be protected. There's room enough for fifty, other students and freshmen were sent back home or sent to another facility Xavier had bought the rights to just in case something should happen and as many as two hundred needed shelter. An old apartment building on the outskirts of Brooklyn under the care and protection of Angel.

You can be a student helping with the rebuild or becoming an X-Man [or both] or you can be another survivor staying in Brooklyn with Angel and trying to stay alive and out of too many shenanigans.

BRIEF Bio - Jacob was like any other southern kid with mutant powers, looked at like a freak
by former friends and neighbors. When several X-Men joined the Avengers, and
others went rogue along with Cyclops and Magneto, Beast was left with a few
long-standing X-Men to keep the school going and Jacob had only been there for
6 or 7 weeks. After the destruction at the mansion, Jacob was one of the first
students who was ready to take action against those responsible for the
destruction and capturing of his teachers and friends.
Notes - Jacob is a little bit of an artist and is constantly drawing on scrap paper with nearby
pens or pencils. He had an average education until joining the Institute and showed
interest in developing his art skills and learning about the mutant/human history of the
last few decades. His powers are similar to that of Cannonball and an original character
I'd made awhile back called Shotgun.

Power[s] - Aaron has the ability to sap energy from people through touch, enabling him to heal himself and others although there is a cap to how much he can store and how much energy he can remove. Healing himself takes a lot less energy than healing someone else. When he takes someones energy he can induce a buzzed or euphoric feeling on the victim. He can also cause short term memory loss and the victim to pass out, if he takes too much energy from one person.

BRIEF Bio - Aaron never knew his parents and grew up in one of NYC's orphanages. It was rough for him as he was lanky and skinny much of his youth and constantly picked on. When he got older he was shuffled in and out of foster homes until he turned sixteen where his mutant ability triggered and his skin and hair took on a golden color. After that he took to the streets, begging underneath the safety of his baggy clothes and hoodie, for money or sustenance to live. When he turned eighteen, he was found by Nightcrawler under Xavier's guidance and brought to live in the mansion which was a place he could finally call home. Since being there Aaron has kept his reserved demeanor and is extremely shy, and sometimes envious of others. His friends helped him a lot to come out of the shell but with the disaster at the mansion, Aaron has since become reckless to the point of self destructive.
Notes - One thing Aaron is nonchalant about is his sexuality. He likes both sexes as love is love.

Power[s] - Microwave Manipulation: She can cause a bright flash of light to blind and escape, for the moment that's all she's willing to use it for. This flash of light is powerful enough to do serious damage, not to her of course. Because of her proclivity to this sort of radiation she is, of course, immune to the effects.

- Supernatural Enhancement: Jeanvieve is magical in the sense that her body is enhanced beyond that of an average 18 year old. She is supernaturally strong and agile, but couldn't take more bullets or any more damage or move faster than, say, an olympic-level athlete in their prime. Her strength isn't all that inhuman, but enough to punch through the rib cage of a muscular adult male; thanks to the nature of her bloodline's magical "enhancement" (read: curse). Her hearing, sense of smell and eyesight are enhanced as well to near-superhuman levels, but still not wholly impossible for a baseline human. Her blood is that of an apex predator's.

Weaknesses - She is weak to magical bindings and spells, certain charms and words a baseline human, or even mutant, would not be. All of her incoming sensory data can be extremely overwhelming, as she hasn't been completely trained on how to master it like the rest of her family has been - smell especially. Her morality is EXTREMELY black and white, good or evil. She does not see grey, she cannot allow grey in her family's line of work. She does not see herself as a person, but a tool - and is completely 100% okay with it. As a result she doesn't really understand the concepts of friendships outside of blood bonds and "battle siblings". Empathy is very difficult, but she is still a teenager and dealing with emotions she believed to be trained out of is difficult, her head is not as clear as she thinks it is.

BRIEF Bio - Jeanvieve was born in Brittany, France to a family of hunters. For centuries they'd fought against evil, as early as the 1500's. One of their oldest and original pureblood Monceux relatives chose to become the beast he was trying so difficult to hunt. With a lifetime of black magic knowledge and the heart of his enemy's daughters, he embraced the same curse he sought to wipe from the face of the earth. He succeeded in destroying the source of the evil that infested him, but to his surprise...the curse remained, bound and woven into him and his children forever after.

Vivi was trained as any other Monceux was - from the moment that took their first steps, until the night of her power's fruition. A prefect of the family's academy had noticed lights coming from her room, bright beyond compare. Thinking perhaps a spirit, he gathered up the nearest elder and alarmed roused some of the most experienced hunters the wing had to offer. They watched the door knob melt off and heard her screams from the inside. Screams of surprise and terror - screams not made by a Monceux for hundreds of years. She had melted the room to a nearly liquified state, even the water in the surrounding pipes had evaporated, and the pipes themselves had mostly ruptured or melted shut.

She was carried out in a hazmat suit and brought before her parents after a series of tests were conducted.

Jeanvieve's grandfather Robert knew from the instant he laid eyes on her exactly what she was, what she'd always been. What had been hiding inside of her this whole time. He smiled while the others frowned, stoic in their unwanted place of unfamiliarity. Robert had been a...well, not exactly a friend of Xavier, but he knew the man well enough to know what that Mansion in Westchester housed.

And so she was sent to live in America, away from everything she knew, everything she held deal. Dropped in a place where she was the odd one, where all of her ideas and concepts about humanity had been so wrong. At first she saw why she lived such a way, it only strengthened her resolve and made her understand why her family was the way it was. But slowly her walls broke, fractured bit-by-bit with little plumes of dust puffing up from the ground to mark their descent.

It's been 7 years since her arrival. Most of her friends and teammates are dead or MIA. She is at war with herself and only has the remaining few mutants to turn to. Everything she knows has crumbled for the second time.

Notes - Her proficiency with knives is rated at a solid "daaaaamn", her use of ballistic projectiles and bows is enough to be considered very dangerous. She's been using all three from a very young age, she lives and breathes that sort of thing. Vivi's martial art is a blend of various Eastern and Western styles centered around disabling and causing as much damage as possible, each member of their family has their own specialized style tailored to their strengths and preferences. Her vinyl collection (obscure jazz and electronica mostly) was the closest thing to self-expression she had outside of her martial arts and she lost it in the destruction of the mansion, the music on her phone is a poor substitute and a sore subject. She retained most of her survival gear and a lot of her weapons thanks to a pair of bug-out bags stashed under her bed. Her favorite book is Robinson Crusoe and to this day she pretends to be shipwrecked when she goes to the beach. She will murder you if you keep her from her pizza.

Note: Friendship to her is a bit different. She values people for their potential and doesn't really register when someone is being nice to her or coming onto her. She doesn't see herself as someone with the propensity for a relationship outside of some business-like arrangement, but...she has been at the mansion a damn long time and she may be softening up just a little. Power[s] - Caleb/Bass has the power to manipulate sound and the sound vibrations. He is able to create a shock-wave or soundblast if you will by making any amount of noise. Whether that be screaming, or tapping. He can also store this sound and as he is learning to do (although it takes too much out of him to do it to others and him for more than a few seconds) he can unleash it all at once, and focus the Shock-wave into an attack. He is also able to manipulate the sound of his own punches and kicks increasing them so that a shockwave is sent out. This comes in handy since he does know the martial are of Wing-Chun
Weaknesses - He is very emotional when it comes to his friends.

Heidi, he is dating her, he promised to protect her, no matter what. Meaning if something involves her in trouble, he will most likely become irrational.

BRIEF Bio - Caleb used to be a bully until he got his powers. He is a friendly guy, and gives all people full trust until you break it. Always tries to be an optimist but at times can be a pessimist, He hates to be alone because his "friends" deserted him when his powers first showed signs. Luckily the people he bullied welcomed him and changed him. He would go to the xavier institute and learn how to use his powers. He usually wasn't shy unless it was around someone he liked. But he finally was able to date Heidi after getting over that issue. After the mansion attack he wasn't sure what they would do. Caleb is usually a good strategist but has trouble making decisions at time. So he followed Heidi to protect her, luckily his dad and mom haven't abandoned him and gave him an apartment to stay in as well as gave him money that he would need for protection and food and transportation. His dad is thankfully a great business man and head of multiple contractors.

I noticed her having a bad day one day so I made her some brownies, I hope she doesn't think I like her.... Whether he see's it or not, I always tell him that he is my hero, with the wounds he has and how he doesn't just give up, it makes me look at him as motivation, I can keep going if he can! V for Vanquish - Jeanvieve "Vivi" Monceux: She resists my friendship sometimes, but she can only resist for so long! :P Everyone eventually will come around! She is pretty awesome with her powers and soft spoken, I like that but maybe if she was just a bit more extrovert then it would be easier to hang out! But oh well! I can't do my RS now as I have a bit of a mess to clean, but I just wanted you all to know: During the attack, a scared mutant accidently blew a hole in the water pipes, drenching Steve, who then accidently touched exposed wiring, shocking himself into a coma and unlocking his ability to turn into electricity and "teleport" when before he needed an electric current. I'm only doing this because I don't feel like trying to figure out what he was doing during that week. Also it gives me a bit of a "gateway" to show that Steve has potential to get stronger in a unique way. Now all this is doing is basically the shock from the shock triggered an evolution in his ability to turn into electricity and travel along a current such as wiring or conductive surfaces such as metal. Now he no longer needs those pathways but can make his own through mid-air, traveling at sub-sonic speeds. It's almost like flying. But he can only go 30 in a straight line, and has to re-form into a solid state to change directions. That is all. I'll update my CS later.

BRIEF BIO -
Former leader of a FoH (Friends of Humanity) cell for decades before encountering a mutant whose power was to boost others or else activate latent x-genes. His mutation didn't occur until he tried to drive away, the car flipped and pulverized his arm as well as pinning him in place as flames burned away half his face and good eye. That moment of absolute desperation activated his mutation in the form of T.K. in order to push the car away in all directions to free him from the wreck, the farsight was a natural compensation for loosing sight in his eye.

Now he was a mutant mutant-hater, every friend and social contact would never have anything to do with him. It took a year for him to blindly find the X-men and be brought in before all hell broke loose. Now he serves as janitor and mechanic until he gets a fill grasp of his powers like all the other children.

At 6'2, it's no surprise that Zhayne is easily noticed, and he seems to take a little but of pride in the fact that he sometimes had to bend his head under Forrest's to fit under them. His body is slender, and his skin wraps tightly around thickly veined muscles, he is by no means a body builder of any sort but seems to harbor some sort of modicum of strength and finesses in his bones. His lofty stance gives way to a young man who looks a bit frail but is stronger than he seems. His skin is a light brown due to his mixed ancestry, and his face is well proportioned, one could argue that he looks handsome for his age, but Zhay would probably laugh at the assumption. Features like his dark brown eyes seem to keep people focused on him whenever he grasps their attention, and blend well with his face. Arguably, his most noticeable feature is his long dreaded hair which is usually kept in a twisted ponytail or obscured by some hat. Often times he has other touching that long hair of his, which annoys him to no end since he usually asked questions about he upkeep or how long it's taken to grow it out. As far as he's concerned it's been this way since early childhood and he isn't all too eager to cut it off anytime soon at the behest of those claiming he could never get a job because of it. (if that wasn't already compounded by the fact that he was a mutant...) Normally you'll find him wearing a long sleeved shirt, or a hoodie, and some jeans, along with roughed up Nikes to boot, he isn't too in tune with his fashion and will wear anything sprawled on his dorm room floor.

Zhayne would consider himself to be a very practical person, down to earth, and as nice as time could afford. He always been labeled as rather relaxed, and mellow, and never finds it hard to adapt to his surroundings. He is calm and analytic, but slow at first approach whenever faced with a dilemma, it usually takes him some time to be open with others, but despite the small number of friends he has acquainted himself with, he is kind and generous to no fault. Disregarding his sometimes strange and awkward moments, Zhayne can be a true joy to be around once you learn to gain his trust. He is diligent about testing those he feels he can trust, and is always better in a small group of friends, though in hindsight the slow approach is the reason why he hasn't much experience in romantic relationships, and he be quite nervous when anyone asks him about his interactions, he isn't even quite sure himself, at 19 he should have at least laid claim to being with one person. He tends to come across at shy because of his preference of silence, while this is true to extent, his intentions are often misunderstood, especially when trying to gain new friends.

Yet, even with his bashfulness at times he isn't afraid to be who is, or show off a bit of his anger streak when others cross him the wrong way. Perhaps an interesting part of his personality is his sexuality, he has admitted to being openly homosexual, but is coy in delivering the terms to others, which either surprises them or doesn't. Despite being somewhat quiet, and observant, when put into danger Zhayne has shown many times that he is capable of defending himself, or crafty at escaping lest the situation calls for it, those who claim him to be a slow thinker, may not realize that it's effective to the way he methodically attacks. He can be taciturn, and stubborn when he feels he needs to be, and gets annoyed when things don't go his way. At his worst he can be self-indulgent, lazy, and even downright uncaring, at his best he is kid, generous, and intelligent. He would say that he is a perfect balance between the two.

Powers:
Animal Mimicry: Zhayne has the ability to mimic various abilities attributed to certain animals, like for example; being able to grow gills and breathe underwater like a fish, to run with the speed of a cheetah, or fly like a bird. This has advanced to the point that he can communicate loosely with other animals, his most recent experience being that with a chimp. The setback of these abilities is the fact that Zhayne needs to study said animal in order to duplicate the effect, and using mimicry can be hit or miss if he doesn't take care to practice. Having yourself unable to reassure your natural breathing habits for a whole day after figuring out how to actually mimic gills was a rather transformative experience for the young man, for one, he learned that it's never pleasant to have to tie a plastic bag full of water over your gills just to function. Trips to the zoo has helped him gain a slew of abilities, though their usefulness depends on the situation, so he finds it better to let this ability become a convenience for impressing others, or showing his powers off when suitable.

Animal Shapeshifting: New to Zhayne is the ability to take the form of animals, an ability that he came upon accidentally a few months before enrolling. His first year there he found it to be more of a burden than an actual help, and he had (and still has) actual fears using this power. The first time when he transformed he took on the form of a cat, which scared him to say the least, not knowing what happened to his body, and having very little control over the events surrounding him. The worse of it though was transforming back, the pain of which turned him off to transform again (not to mention the sudden lack of clothing). Even weeks after the transformation he was left with strange aftereffects, just as sharp claws, sharpened pupils but no night vision, and he could recall shedding hair much more quickly than any normal humans. Yet, only a year after remaining at the academy Zhayne has learned to temper this power, being able to change into fro far more easily when it comes to smaller animals, but limited by his transformation into larger animals. While it still garners pain on the occasion, he seems to be able to ignore it for the most part as long as he doesn't overexert his form.

Backstory:
Shame how the boy was robbed of a childhood early in his life. For him, the first sensation he could clearly recall was the smell of cinnamon, and the fact that wherever he lived, the walls never seemed to be dry, and was always slick with water from the incessant boiling of a pot under a stove that he could never reach with his tiny stature. Then came an uneasy period, lots of fighting and shouting, things muttered like mutant!, freak!, we can't afford that!. Zhayne was only half aware of some of things around him, and paid less and less attention with the yelling would occur. After that, being awoken from the only decent sleep he could ever remember having, and then being thrusted into the back seat of car, it seemed even in his sleepy stupor that the window burned with a fiery glow, like the night had suddenly borrowed rays from the sun. Little did he know about the riots that occurred that night, the riots near his place of residency, even to this day when he searches on the internet about the riots, the memory is fresh in his skull, angry faces, traffic abuzz, frantic breathes from the driver of the car. Somehow the two were able to escape the now ruins of his former hometown, and drove from miles. At this point, he made sure to commit more to his memory than the things he felt he should avoid just because he was a child.

The person he escaped with was his father, and he could only assume that the worse happened to his mother, or perhaps she felt it better to leave him in another's hands, he would never know since he'd never, met the woman, or felt the need to. He can at least have some type of solace in knowing that there was a time she wanted him, until (according to his father) when she held him a few months after his birth in the dark, and his pupils grew feline in shape. Afterwards, (he recounts humorously) they got rid of the cat, but the incidents never stopped there. It was only when he was five that his father was given the motivation to leave, he was forced by the riots, to think that someone could arbor such hatred for his child was an unbearable thought, it was already obvious by the way other kids were told to avoid Zhayne that others were catching on, he would be targeted, and who knows what else. The two of them spent 3 years on the road, motels, and gaudy fast food seemed to serve them well enough, he moved from school to school, and never found a way to stick. Of course there were still incident here and there, people still had a tendency to look at him strangely, and then his father was once again forced to whisk him away elsewhere, at one point it became damaging to the point that he found it difficult to communicate with others in fear that they would somehow see the fact that he was mutant. It was at that time that his father took him away again, far into the more nature bound places, his grandmother had long owned a vast amount of land, and was all too eager to offer a place for her son and grandson even knowing their predicament.

That was probably the most enjoyable part of his life, the period of time where abilities were greatly expanded upon. A lush forest seemed to jut out a little ways from the Victorian styled architecture of his grandmother's house, and from there he was able to pick up a slew of abilities, both strange and entertaining to the both of them. His father secured an obscure job in the small town a little ways from the land, and Zhayne attending school, but was able to control his abilities for the sake of keeping his identity safe. Years went pass, and for once Zhayne felt he had a home, and a permanent place to stay, he was comfortable enough with the people raising him to even reveal his sexuality, and they were just as accepting as they were of his mutant abilities, though of course it would be until he was 17 that things seemed to naturally spiral downwards. It wasn't long until popular opinion of mutant seemed to reach the little town, and things became terse for the small family. Zhayne felt himself rather bored with the fact that he couldn't completely be himself. When discussing the problem in a class of his, Zhayne was too adamant about his stance on mutants, and attracted the attention of a few students, whose beliefs opposed his own. Months later, when shopping in one of the small shops in town, just a few weeks since his graduation, you couldn't even say the word Mutant without being looked strangely, somehow the mention of such always had to be negative. He would find one of his old colleagues, drunken, gun at hand, idiotically ribbing a sore that he gone to for nearly years. Zhayne would fins himself trying to reason with him, until the gun was turned on him, slurs were thrown his way, none of which he'd ever wanted spurted to him ever again. When it became apparent that the gun was close to firing in his face, he felt the world shift and his body shrink, the gun slipping out of the grasp of the offender, and a small dark body racing out the store as fast as it could. Unaware of just where it was going or why, just running for the sake of running.

When exhaustion finally met up with the feline, it stopped dead in the middle of nowhere panting, reverting back painfully into it's human form, blistering rain seemed to sweep over Zhayne, and for whatever reason he was nude, and hurting in places he'd rather not speak about. After that, everything seemed to wash into a blur, similar to how his early childhood occurred. All he knew is that he wanted to hear nothing of mutants, or powers, and simply wished for a way out. He was able to find places to sleep, odd, low paying jobs that helped him acquire shelter and food to eat for a short time.For the longest it seemed he lived only to live, before he knew it a full year had passed until he heard about the Institute, he heralded the courage to travel to the Institute and craft a new life for himself, but time can only tell when he find it worthwhile to even have powers in the first place.

Power[s] - Electrokinesis, or the ability to generate, manipulate, or become electricity. This can be as arcs, blasts, pulses, waves, beams, balls, etc. Note: Steve's electrical attacks range in power from being flicked to punching fist-sized craters in solid concrete, however the voltage never raises higher than very nasty static shocks (not enough to stun like a tazer, but enough to leave a burn). This is a subconscious block. Without it even he isn't sure what would happen. But he can taze your ass by making skin-to-skin contact, dropping the target like a twitchy sack of potatoes, and in extreme cases can act as a defibrillator. As a side-effect, his relfexes are slightly higher than normal, and he heals faster. Not Wolverine fast, but minor wounds are gone in about an hour and normally fatal injuries tend to just leave scars. Steve can hover by emitting small pulses under his body, but he can't move from that position very much unless he turns into electricity and "teleports" (he's just moving very fast) up to 30 feet in a straight line as long as he can see his destination (don't wanna run into a wall). So semi-flight is possible, but difficult to control. However he CAN travel through things that have a current (like power lines) al a Electro. Lastly, Steve can absorb electricty from outside sources to re-charge his energy reserves.
Weaknesses - Water. Just straight up water. Shorts out his powers and in large quantities (lakes, oceans, rivers) can turn them against himself, possibly even killing him. Oddly enough, however rain is just fine.

BRIEF Bio - When Shuya Denzan was a child, he suffered a very traumatic event that both triggered his mutation far earlier than normal and also wiped his memories, even his name. On his own, "Steve" had to fend for himself on the streets for 13 years, during which he gained a withdrawn and introverted personality. Eventually he made his way to New York, specifically Westchester County. Using his ability to travel along power lines, Steve sneaked into a massive mansion to try and steal some food, but was caught immediately by the house's owner, a man named Charles Xavier. Steve expected to be sent to jail, but to his surprise, Charles invited him to stay and learn how to control his powers in a safe environment. Luckily for Steve, he broke into a school for Mutants and this man was the Headmaster. Enticed by the thought of a warm bed and full stomach every night, Steve happily accepted. For the next two years he gained a few friends and slowly managed to overcome his shyness, becoming confident with who and what he is around his friends and around acquaintances, even regaining a few of his memories, like his true name, although he still goes by Steve. However he is still very shy around people he's not familiar with... unless you talk about things he likes. Then he won't shut up.
Notes - Steve is a great street brawler, using a personal free form style... in that he really has no style. He just punches and kicks when he can and takes advantage of the environment and his abilities. He also has a tendency to name his attacks. He's not dumb enough to call them out (usually), but he likes to name them. He also likes to use different catchphrases. Normally he just uses "Let's make this showy", when he's having too much fun "BLOOD & THUNDER!!!", and when he's dead serious "Let's get dangerous". Sometimes he'll make on up on the spot, but these three are his favorites.

Retrospective Sleep System/ When it comes time to sleep, Jay slips into a retro cognitive trance. In the physical world this lasts 5 seconds and then he can sleep, but to him it lasts 24 hours, during which time he is viewing any and all happenings of the previous day. This helps him learn from whatever mistakes were made, he can help solve crimes, ect.
X-Ray Vision- not x-rays in the obvious sense, he can just see beyond any obstructions
Inhuman Occipital Receptors- Due to the amount of overloading stimuli, Jay's eyes are slightly larger than a normal person's, and the irises are multi-colored, they are constantly shifting whenever his power is in use.

Weaknesses-
Jay doesn't understand the concept of boundaries or personal space, and thus will invade another person if the situation deems necessary in his eyes

Bio: 
Jay was a regular kid in in good ol suburbia, up until high school when he became aroused by voyuerism, and repeatedly got in trouble because of it. Whether because he was found peeking into the girls room at school, or slinking around and being generally creepy enough at night that the cops would come and arrest him.

During one stint in jail, his parents decided to enact tough love and sent him to a scared straight program. When going through a particularly rough cell block, a guard looked the other way while several inmates began beating into him, and nearly killed him, leaving him hospitalized. It was in his hospital bed that Jay developed his mutation, literally traveling the world without any restrictions, but his eyes were vastly changed and obviously different.

This caused him to be bullied even further, and it got to the point that his father disowned him for being so weak, that Jay began to study anatomy so he could fight back. Unfortunately, when he picked a fight with a well feared bully, who's parents were aware and tolent of mutants, Jay nearly killed the boy, but was stopped by a girl he had been looking at daily with his x-ray vision. 

This was the last straw, and his family was evicted because of him. Ashamed, Jay ran away and lived on the streets until coming to Xaviers. Here he was treated vastly different from his old life, but it was hard to shake him of his old habits of voyeurism, and he would constantly get in trouble, which he didn't mind. Eventually he was found the perfect roommate to teach him humility and respect in the form of Steven Denzan

Fire Manipulation. (Pyrokinesis).

Sarina has the ability to control the kinetic energy of atoms to generate, control/manipulate fire Allowing to throw fire, Send jets of flames at a target, Hurl fireballs or even possibly cause a rain of fire. It is also handy to illuminate a dark area. In essence Sarina can excite or speed up an object's atoms, increasing their thermal energy until they ignite, not necessarily objects, but also air particles. She can control and move the flames.

She can at the moment release the fire from her hands with the potential in time to do so from her mouth for fire breath. She may be able to understand and control it enough for Pyrokinetic Combat like fire shield. Thanks to this amazing power and it's possible applications, Sarina has ended up with fireproof skin and thermal resistance something that is a life saver when playing with fire in the ways and possibilities this teen can.

Weaknesses - Despite all those pluses and hidden potential, There are other downsides that factor into her power and for one Control is extremely important. Unconscious use of this power can be catastrophic to herself and others, Water and in an oxygen depleted environment rendering her power useless. Sadly not much can be said for her if wearing non flame retardant clothes though as one of the downsides is if not careful can burn her clothes of, something of which is not a good thing.

There are still instances of Sarina getting burned if she abuses the power much or loses to much control. Another weakness for Sarina is she does have a Fiery temper and can sometimes have a short fuse. This is another side effect of her power as it effects her personality and emotions. This gives her a little bit of unpredictability of outbursts.

Appearance

Sarina stands at a height of 5 foot 7 inches and weighs 135lbs with a figure of 37-27-35, She is Latin American with long shoulder length black hair. Sarina prefers to wear her hair freely but may at times decide to tie it up into a ponytail. She has medium size nose, hands, and ears. She also has thin eyebrows, Dark crimson red eyes which once were brown and delicate average size lips. She has a toned olive skin colour with no tattoos or piercings with size 8 feet.[/hider]

BRIEF Bio - Sarina was very much a lovely girl to be around when she was younger, Born to american military man and a Latin mother whose worked in retail work. Life was busy Although her parents would prefer the more quiet and peaceful life, Sarina was the opposite always running around like young kids do, she was able to make friend pretty well and was full of life and smiles, Her parents loved her so dearly. During the early life for some reason she had a thing for Mistletoe, It was probably to do with the special times of Christmas one thing that most children enjoy more and parents mostly remember those magical moments.

Life was pretty normal for the family until a certain moment, Sarina was now at the age of 16, It was a pivotal changing moment in her life for it would never be the same again, While at a beach party with a load of her friends. During the night Sarina got into an argument with one of the other girls away from the group party in a hut, The drunken girl was convinced her boyfriend was having an affair with Sarina which of course was not true but during the heated argument it got physical and that was when her power flared up thus setting fire to the small hut they were in.

Unfortunately the flames spread quickly engulfing the girls but running on fear for her life the popular girl fought hard despite getting burned and was able to drag the jealous girlfriend out of the fire by time the first person managed to run over seeing her pulled the unconscious girl out the fire while others where getting buckets of water or anything they could use. Sarina's actions saved the girl who had severe burns over her body, But to the guys shock Sarina was only lightly burned despite her clothes severely burned and saw her dark crimson like eyes which would become a permanent feature of her mutation.

Sarina promptly ran away back home as she to knew that she should of got hurt more but it wasn't until she got home to get dresses and saw herself in the mirror that she realized her eyes. She was a mutant weather she could grasp it or not but her mind was going into overdrive and packed some clothes and ran away from home trying to get away from everything. Fortunately her mind was easy to pick up by Charles Xavier and cerebro which prompted a quick response to find the girl in need and sent Shadowcat to locate and bring Sarina in safely.

When she arrived at the institute, Sarina spent a while adjusting to her new environment and getting used to being with her own kind but it was a mostly positive transition, The young lass met some very interesting individuals whom all came from different walks of life and ended up at the same place. Once Sarina had settled in she trained hard mentally and physically in the danger room while furthering her education particularly in sports activities, Her first appearance in the danger room Sarina lost control of her power and ended up burning herself thus being sent to medical allowing another mutant Exilir to heal her small burns to improve his powers.

Even after this the danger room sessions were still the toughest in her mind as she often ended up burning her fellow mutants and more often than not setting of the fire sprinklers off to some people's amusement and frustration for others, Of course over the five years the fire maiden was there she would gain more control, understanding and better develop her powers showing great potential along with her hand to hand combat training, She picked up many friends and never let any kind of popularity get to her head. In her third year in the institute the school came under attack and was destroyed with many were injured, killed or captured by military forces, But in the panic many young children lost control of their powers that caused most of the devastation a bout week ago. Sarina only wished she could've helped them.

Notes - Sarina enjoys in her spare time ( out of classes.) performing fire and sparkle poi and fire hoop dancing or going to the gym to keep active because she enjoys it.

Pyra - Sarina Saunders: I am pretty normal as a mutant can be I am not perfect and I am not afraid to admit that, My power is as hot as I am, well that's what a lot of the guys say but I won't let it get to my head. Sure I am beautiful and all but there is more to me than my looks, I look after my body, I believe in myself and confident in my abilities not just in power but as a person who is thankful of the friends and other mutants I have met. I am full of Spirit and that is something I won't let die.

Bass - Caleb Idlett: Caleb is a really nice guy and pretty much happily talks and makes friends with anyone! A good friend of mine, We have got one well since being at the institute, He talks like a hamster on coffee though when you get him going. He is going out with Heidi, My closest friend which I find cute and i am happy for them both. I think he'll be a great boyfriend to her. -F

Raiix - Shuya 'Steve' Denzan: Another very good friend of mine who makes it a bit obvious at times he wants it to be more, He is a nice guy, He was very much the shy guy originally but I broke through those barriers and since then has made some good friends, He is very protective of me though and does some of the funniest little things to make me laugh or smile and I tease him by calling him 'My little Asian'. His random fighting style is entertaining but he caught me on the wrong time of the month once and pissed me of, I burnt his eyebrows for it... What? he did get a lot of hugs out of it after. [Could potentially be a Romantic Interest] -F

Elixir - Aaron 'X': Aaron is actually a nice guy even if we didn't really hit it of when we first came across each other a couple of years ago, However I do remember every time I went to infirmary after burning myself with my power that nurses called upon and allowed Aaron to use his abilities and heal me, He was kind and gentle to me. Ever since then we spoke more and became good friends, He still heals me from time to time and I enjoy his company, I feel he is still a little apprehensive with me over my powers though but we trust each other, He is the only guy I allow to physically touch me outside of a hug -F/L

Prodigy - Heidi Williams: Heidi was my room-mate before everything happened, I still get the feeling we are from two separate ends of the spectrum however, Heidi is still a little shy and quiet while I was more confidant. We are the best of friends and look out for each other, I love her power as it might not hurt people physically but she can sure hurt an ego and look after herself and she now has a boyfriend! I have never been so happier for her, My bestie has come along way from we first met -F

Scattershot - Jacob Jones: Jacob is a good honest guy from what can tell from the time I have seen and spoken to him over the few months, He is friendly enough though and I think he has good potential in the field -F

Eye Spy - Jay Redmond: I am sure he is a okay guy and all, But I don't trust him. Ever since I found out about his ability, I have found it freaky I mean he can get a sneak peak of the girls anywhere ant any time regardless of what we are doing. Usually I am not worried of people looking at me as I am proud of my body but the fact he can invade my privacy by simply seeing through walls while I'm getting dressed or something and I would be none the wiser to him doing it is like I said freaky and I struggle to trust him on that basis but those abilities can come in handy out in the field if he can concentrate on the task at hand that it. -N/E

Chimera - James Venture: James is a shape shifter who joined the institute a couple of years ago, We never really spoke that much and only really him in the danger room sessions, But he is good with musical instruments and have listened to him from time to time on a quite evening and it's clear he love his music, He usually dresses well also but that wont save you out in the field. From what I have seen despite the freakishness of his power that he can be a very good asset out in the field but we'll have to see. -N

Animus - Zhayne Spencer: I have known Zhayne for almost the amount of time he as been with us, It took time to get round to talking with him but he is a very calm, relaxed man. We have become good friends despite the fact he is gay, I openly admitted I have no issues with it at all considering the fact I am bisexual and that as long as he is happy then that was the main thing. But despite being shy at times and has never shied away from battle and stuck with his team and help those that need it. I consider him to be a great friend and I respect him for openness about his thoughts on my powers -F

Sage - Laurie (last name unknown): I have spoke to Laurie quite often in the three years she was here, some didn't always make sense mind you, it was unusual to see some one like her as a student but her gene activated late or something? I don't quite understand it. But I often feel very sorry for Laurie for the power that she has, she must be a strong willed individual to be able to cope and continue on being constantly seeing all possible futures at once or something and even attempt to make sense of it all, It is kind of a scary thought to know that when you approach to talk with her that she already knew you were coming and speaks first. -N

Odin - John Smith: On one hand I feel sorry for this guy for the pain and constant problems he has to deal with on a day to day basis, You can see in his only good eye he has left that he as seen and been through a lot and for the a feel sorry for him. But on the other hand he was once part of friends of humanity who was very much anti mutant, So this guy was once at one point a mutant hater and sadly I am sorry if I sound harsh or a bitch but that is more than enough for me to not trust him, he has been on both side and is a mutant now, but the old man is going to have to earn my trust. Probably don't help I keep my distance and Don't speak to him but I have been bluntly honest about it. -E/N

V for Vanquish - Jeanvieve "Vivi" Monceux: It took some time to talk with Vivi but my god was she worth the wait! We have long since become friends and i think we both enjoy each others company, I like her, After all us girl gotta stick together. But I tell you Vivi here had me as soon as she opened her mouth with her accent! I love her French accent and admitted it does send chills down my spine every time she talk to me and I can easily listen to her all day I noticed she has become a bit observant of her surroundings which is a good trait to have and she is protective friend at that, Plus she fight well in the danger room to which is good and I see great potential from her out in the field. I do enjoy it when we have our Pizza nights. -F/L
