As ninja says, Balamb Garden is all one building, this is a fairly good overview of the building and here is the basic layout. I'd recommend playing the game if you can; it'll help a hell of a lot with the details. It's easy enough to get on a PS1 emulator nowadays.

Well, if you are someone who really wants to play official versions and stuff, then you could always get it off steam.

Yeah, I think it was late last year re-released and available on steam
I heard, if you have the PS1 version, you are better off playing that one though

Not surprised. I tried the original PC release years ago and it was buggy as hell; can't imagine they'd put much effort into fixing it for a Steam release. Still, saves me space on my external HD.

I bought the PSN store version a while back. Better than the Steam version as the music sounds horrible on PC.

I spent too many hours on that game abusing Quistis' Degenerator limit break and killing Malboro's until everyone was Lv100. Ahh, good times. Too bad I never got that damn Laguna card from Ellone in space...

Best thing about VIII was the difficulty system. The longer you grind, the harder it gets; totally the opposite of every other FF game ever.

True. I always liked the FF battle system, despite most people's complaints. Although, to my shame, I've never defeated Omega Weapon...

Sometimes it is best to ignore, unless you are bored and just want some random useless argument for no reason

11 1/2 hours. It's pretty hefty. I have to drink a lot of energy drinks just to survive. I'm back on day shifts next week though so things will return to normal soon enough.
