Ha! So true! I was so leery about the sci-fi aspect of this RP but I could not resist the cast. And Igraine, that RP pusher knew it, she dangled you all before me mercilessly. She is shameless and I adore her for it.

I was too but I couldn't resist an RP with my old friends and to write with people who I had admired from afar. When I heard you were hesitant I told Igraine to asure you that you would not be the only sci fi noob in the RP.

No, I have absolutely zero shame. Yes, I am relentlessly, obnoxiously pushy when I want something. *shrugs* I always thought those were my more endearing qualities Well, at least in this one case? I don't believe anyone is complaining? *grins*

Just got home a little while ago, settling in and beginning a little writing - so how is everyone doing tonight? Plans for the long weekend (for some of the Americans at least?)

Getting some extra hours at work, playing a bit of Bioshock to refresh my memory for a fanfic I'm in, and hopefully getting a lot of writing done!!

Let's see, what is in store for this weekend... errands and then baking, cookouts and just one more trip into Boston to wind out my weekend. Should be crazy and fun and then I start school next week and will be swamped. So tonight I am getting in what writing I can and drinking something out of a huge mason jar that has far too much rum and the perfect amount of pineapple and coconut milk.

I found a pretty girl who likes riding on the back of my bike, and my buddies located a milk-jug of moonshine that is, of course, highly illegal. So we have to get rid of it.

It needs to disappear.

And I have to torment my prospect a little more, because he's getting his Patch within the next few months! But shh, don't tell him that...

Sigh. All that sounds great. Too bad I have to work early & I'll spend Sunday doing house work. But Tuesday is the 10th anniversary of when I met my husband!

I'm actually going on a date this evening. D= Which both excites and terrifies. That last date I went on (which was...what, four...five years ago?), the guy left the table in the middle of dinner to go check in with his mother. >_____________>

But I'm trying new things, getting out of my comfort zone, blah blah blah, so we're going out for drinks and laser tag. =D Not in that order, though, that could be problematic. Her name is Nora and she's a nurse and she's ten years older than me and still wanted to play laser tag so I hope that's a good thing. *crosses fingers*
