[IC] Highschool is an Adventure

Lia walked up to the school smiling happily. The weekend had been a long one for her since she was helping her grandmother with the garden on their farm. But now she was back at school and could see her friends again. Lia walked over to the groups little hang out spot which was in the courtyard at the picnic table there. She sat down on the table with her feet on the bench and waited for her friends saying high to some of the other students she knew as they walked by. She had her long blonde hair up in a pony tail, her cheer jersey that the team had with her graduation year on it, black leggings, and her white keds. She sat there silenlty watching the scarce clouds in the blue sky.

Maya hopped out of her dad's pick up truck, waving good-bye to him as she walked towards the school. Maya wore a blue plaid shirt that covered a white under shirt. She had tight black skinny jeans that stopped before they covered her converse shoes. Her hair drooped down partially overlapping the aviator glasses she was wearing. She walked over to the picnic table in the courtyard where the gang usually met up and sat down, placing her heavy school bag on the ground beside her, "Hey Lia!" Maya said, as she sat across from Lia. "Had a nice weekend? I heard you helped out at your grandma's farm." Maya pulled out an apple from her bag and started eating it.

Arty sat in the car rolling his earbuds through his fingers and litening to his parents drone on about school, "You really need to work on your grades in social studies!" Arty nodded pretty uncaringly, "Yeah I know mom." She nodded softly and gave him one of her award winning courtroom smiles, "You be good at school today son." When the word son came up it made Arty sick, "Yes mother." As they pulled up, Arty climbed out of the car and walked up to his two friends and as he did every day handed them the scetches of them he had drawn from memory of the day before, "You like em?" The pictures were so well done that they lookedalmost real. "The noses are a bit off i think...but better than yesterday."

Brookes limped with great speed towards the school, he was late, if only his father could keep his mind together and remember everything this wouldn't be a usual thing. Smiling as he neared the front he could see there hang out in the corner of his eye. Wincing a bit as he smiled, his cheek was still a bit sore from his last fight but still he walked to the others. "guys your back yaaaaaaaa-" the boy cheered before tripping and falling and hitting himself face first. "oww" brookes muttered before getting up and wiping his sublime shirt off and walking to the table. Arty had already started showing his master pieces. They were amazing as usual.

When Brookes walked up Arty's instant reaction was to give him his scetch, "Here I drew you without bruises..." Arty loved the way drawing made him feel, it was as if he were capturing a moment forever frozen in time with your heart instead of a silly camera. He dug into his bag and pulled out his sketch pad and quickly didthe full outline of his three friends, "this ones gonna look great guys!" He couldn't bring himselfto sy what he was really thinking, what if this was the last time they were all here smiling like this? and if that were the case...how could he miss even a moment of it, "You guys will live forever you know...Right here in ths creepy little book..." Arty started laughing and smiled at his friends for the first time in a long time.

Jeremiah slung his bag over his shoulder as he stepped out of the old jeep that got him to and from school. The car wasn't great but it got him where he needed to go. He saw that his friends were already starting to show up at their hang out spot, just barely catching Brooke's falling on his face. He waved as he t got closers to them. "Hey guys!"

Maya smile at the drawings Arty made,"They look so real!" Maya shouted with enthusiasm. She held the sketched piece of paper beside her face, and made the same expression,"What do ya think?" She joked around. While she joked she didn't get to see brooks fall. "Hey Brookes!" Maya notice his cheek looked bruised, so she made fun of him for it, "Nice face." She stated sarcastically. She looked around and saw Jeremiah walking over to the bench, "Oh! there's Jerry." Maya said as she stood up and waved over to Jeremiah."Heeeey!!!" Maya shouted across the courtyard. Maya was filled with energy, like she always is coming back to school after a long weekend.

Lia looked at the picture. "This is amazing Arty! As always!" She complimented smiling. She watched as Brookes fell and Jeremiah arrived. "Hey Brookes! Hey Jerry!" Lia said smiling wider. Her friends antics were probably the best part of her day. They just never seemed to care what others thought and she loved that.

Brookes looked at the picture in awe, the realism within arty's pictures was much for him at time, if it were for the clean face he had in the picture he'd have a harder time seeing the diffrence between himself and the picture. The fact he left out bruises made brookes a bit down but he didn't expect them to understand the pride the indulged him with. Still he looked at the picture feeling as handsome as ever. That was until he heard the girl's comment and pretended to pout. "well what do you expect from a hit to the face, rosy cheeks?" he said turning to a smile. He always loved to fight, his weekend was spent doing just that, and he was proud of it. But it never felt like the joy he got from being around his freinds. "man it gets bland without you all we shouldn't have weekdays away" the boy said "but that's not important how are you all?" the boy said in a sincere manor

Willow got into a taxi as it drove her home. She wasn't really in the mood or anything. As she was got into the school, she payed the taxi and got out. Willow was wearing a short jeans highwaisted pants, a white tanktop with a big lip on it, and her black high heels. She didn't have the best weekend, mainly because her aunt passed away and then her boyfrined broke up with her, well he was cheating on her and she saw him with her own eyes! Her boyfriend's name as Edward. Well ex boyfriend.

As Willow walked now to the school, she walked past her group of friends where they always hangout, ignoring them and going to her locker now. Some boys began to flirty whistle at her but she rolled her eyes, having a bit of problem opening her locker. "Stupid shit..." she whispered to herself banging on the locker on.

Jeremiah enjoyed Arty's work immensely. He truly thought he atleast had future in comics if he didn't end up in galleries. He caught willow walking towards them through the corner of his eye and smiled and waved. "Morning Willow!" His smile broke when she walked past them and he caught a look at her face, which looked unhappy. "What's wrong with her?"

"some cheeky dope dumped her like he's all swoss I aughta give him one right it the kisser" brookes grumbled as his fist clenched up. The thing he hated over everything was to see his friends in dismay. He was glad she hadn't tried to get to serious or she'd be even more sad compaired to were she was now. Taking a deep breath to calm down he new he'd get his revenge soon enough. "I hope she isn't to brought down"

Jeremiah frowned. "There has to be a better way than fighting." Though in his head he agreed, wanting nothing more than to punch the pompous jerk in the face though he'd never say it out loud. Still his concern for Brookes was more than his want for revenge, he was scared his friend would really hurt himself if he kept getting into fights the way he did.

Arty made a sour face as willow walked right on by, "Willow..." but it fell short of her entering the school, "Seriously there has to be a better way than getting hurt whilst taking down some loser..." Arty had the thought to say how he looked so lovely and the bruises changed him a bit, but didn't have the nerve to speak it out loud, the only indication was that his face turned a bit red, "I mean how are you ever gonna get a good woman with bruises and cuts all the time?" he covered his tracks quickly hoping it would go unnoticed. He turned to Jerry, "I did a a comic for you man...your the hero...hope you like it." He fished into his bag and plopped a hand drawn comic book held together with staples into Jerry's hands, "there we go."

"look if I hit him he will learn, it's quick but I won't mess with him" the boy said still acting as if he was pouting. He felt anger build up and his fist clench. The blush on arty was usual for him. He wasn't exactly the most nerveless of them so he was sure he got 'excited' easily."the bruises show that I participated in a battle, they should be like a peity you know?" The boy said looking over his forearm which he concealed well under a lang sleeve. "listen we aught to go to class soon" brookes said trying to calm down. he was going to need a long fighting session to clear his mind.

Maya looked over at willow when she heard Jeremiah greet her. Her face was gloomy and her actions only added to her upset demeanor. Maya watched as willow walked inside, the boys were talking about fighting on her behalf, but Maya knew a different way to cheer her up. Maya looked at Lia with a completely serious look, "She needs girl time..." Maya said very briskly as she walked around the bench and grabbing Lia by the arm and pulling her towards the school. "She's probably in the girls bathroom right now, she needs someone to talk to." Maya looked back at the boys and shouted, "This'll take a bit! See you in class??"

[Kitty]

"Brookes don't get in a fight because of this Willow would not be happy. Remember that. All of you remember that." Lia scolded before being grabbed"Boys. Don't wait up!" Lia called out with a joking wink. Lia walked with Maya to where Willow was outside her locker. "Willow. Remember when we first became friends after meeting at the modeling agency? And remember when my idiot ex broke up with me over text? Now remember what you told me. "Our job has the risks to where we meet boys who will probably end up ripping our hearts apart. There are fakes in this high-end entertainment industry, fake girls like half of these models and fake boys who will act all gentlemen like only to rip your heart out and tear it to pieces. That's why when it happens we must be strong and show them we are strong and they will never bring us down. We are strong women who aren't affected by men and their stupid ways." Lia said smiling sweetly trying to get Willow to cheer up. "I'm also sorry for your loss of your aunt but she'd want you to be strong and live for her. Live happily and know she will always be with you in your heart."

Willow turned her head and noticednboth of her girl friends and her bestfriends, like sisters, in school. She felt bad for walking past her friends and not saying nothing but... she just wasn't in the mood. A family member died and her exboyfriend cheated on her. With who you ask? Her cousin. THe bitch was dead for her, but she felt sorry for her mother. Willow tried to smile at what Lia said and her head turned to Maya smiling at her too. "Yeah. I kmow, what I said and I don't feel th-" she noticed Edward walking in and handshaking hisfriends and shit.

Willow sure did look pissed but she controlled her anger and looked at Lia. "Thanks..." she was talking about her aunt and Willow turned around walking away, trying to avoid Edward. She loved him so much and look how he did her. Shame on him! Willow was one of the most popular girls!

"I may not like fighting but he deserves a good slap on the face." Lia said stomping over to Edward. "Hey Edward I have a present for you." Lia said smiling sweetly. "What is it?" Edward asked. "This." Lia said stomping on his foot, hard, and slapping his face even harder with all her strength put behind one hit. "You cheating bastard." Lia growled before stomping away. She got a few high fives from the football players and smiled at them. As a cheerleader and one of the captains at that, the football team is protective of them and respectful. The football players at their school weren't like the stereotype football players. They never cheated and they weren't perverts. They were nice and respectable unlike a lot of other sports in the school.

Maya followed up Lia's slap with another one, but Maya had nothing else to say that wasn't already said by Lia. Maya's palm left a red mark on the other side of Edwards face, "Jerk!" She shouted at him. Maya turned around quickly, her hair lifting up gracefully then floating back into place. Maya didn't turn around but she thought of something to say, so she shouted back at him, "You just lost the best thing you ever had in your life..." Maya run off, catching up with Willow. "C'mon we don't want to be late for class." Maya said as she kept her school bag on her and walked into the classroom. Maya saw the boys sitting in the middle of the classroom, there were three open seats beside them. Maya didn't even have to think about it. Those three seats were their's, and every body in class knew it.

Maya sat down and opened her binder and listened to the teacher in class.
