With Lawrence's help, Lorelai regained her composure, standing straighter. It was now time to unwrap gifts. Out of respect, people gathered to watch as Lorelai opened the gifts of nameless Lords and Ladies. She smiled and made the appropriate comments with little heart and sincerity. She soon came upon a small, unmarked box. Curious, she opened it, looking upon the delicate rose ring. It was breathtakingly beautiful. She smiled genuinely at it before tucking the box safely with the others.
The last present was the queens. She had purposefully been waiting to open it. It took quite a bit of self control to not let a sneer of disgust crawl onto her face as she unwrapped the present. There was a gown that was lovely by anyone's standards and a matching purse. Inside the purse was a small dagger with an ornate, jewel crusted hilt. Lorelai smiled, though it differed from the smile she had earlier.
After thanking them, the party was moved to the tables of the banquet hall. The was a table for the royal family that sat before countless other tables, all filled with food and wine. Lorelai sat to the left of Steffan and Irena sat to his right. Lawrence stood behind the princess.
(Its so close to getting real...so friggin close)
